The extra pictures are mip-maps, they are a series lower resolution copies that are used depending on the distance from the camera in-game. Using mip-maps often looks better because from a distance, high-res image with a detailed pattern will have sharp aliasing; but a low-res image will look softer and more fitting.

 

If you can't save as dds with mip-maps, you won't break the skin-textures.

 

I don't often use mipmaps for skin, but for hair textures there is a noticable benefit to using mipmaps.

I'm having an issue that shows the modded swimsuits as shadows and I'm lost. I tried reinstalling both skins and swimsuits mod files with no result.

note that this a new issue to me and my d3dx.ini file is updated.

Apropos Gacha Demist: Is there a current complete DMM version of it somewhere?
I have my own very old one with still works. Only thing I have to change once in a while are the unique triggers.

Never understood whats happning in that mod. Not a code modder. (Good thing modding costumes can be quite easy the way I do them)

 

So is there a thread or post with a current version and the separate settings like door+glas and/or no door+no glass?
