Lol ok. Searched for "Demist" in this forum and got just 3 results from like this month only.

I tried updating d3dx.ini but it didn't work, I don't remember updating it with mod manager. Until now, it worked fine and the steam version was okay, but only the DMM version suddenly had this problem.

An ini is basically required for all mods. Use the one bundled with each mod.
Resolution does not matter, but you must always set "model quality" to "high" in the game startup settings.
