As i said, the thing is that this, for some reason only works for some mods. Other just refuse to be translated, the only thing in common i find between them is that their OG language is chinese.

Has anyone encountered this problem? Becasue i cannot see what i'm doing wrong.

try using "localization" files you can find on DD discord server, it works for me every time and make sure you don't make any errors in the xml file, so far it works for me every time

IMPORTANT QUESTION for the guys here, is it ok if I post some new class mods I made using skins I found on steam, here on the forum and patreon, I made bunch of stuff but I wanna ask if it is ok to post it, don't want to get ban or something

We are okay. However, the original author's permission takes precedence. If the original author say no, I really recommend that you don't share. 
Patreon exclusive is usually the example. 

Typically, you won't get banned. If they found out that their file is shared without permission, they can order to take down.

yea that is the problem, I don't have approval, I download the skins and turn them in to class mods, some I have from years ago and I think you can't even find them and some I have rework because I don't like complicated systems or 12 skills in single class, I have like over 150+ class mods in my game heheh but yea, thank you for telling me dude, I guess for now it will be only for me, sad but what can I do :classic_sad:

me again with a post, sry guys if I post too much, so I was looking for a class mod and I found it but as I was searching for it I found this image, apparently it was a clash mod that was taken down from steam so just a small question, dose anyone still have it or can tell me more about it? pleas

Thanks for the  help, however the problem still persist. :/

 

I downloaded the file from the DD discord and then dragged the XML files to the Localization.exe and it created the Loc files in the directory. But it still doesn´t work

Also if there is anything wong with the XML file i simply cannot find it. I edit the files with visual studio and it says there are no errors, but also used a resource from the DD server whi also tells me there is no errors

It drives me crazy because i simply cannot see if or what i'm doing wrong, as i used the exact same method to translate the sharpshooter mod (all 2000+ lines it has) and also the Niel mod which still has some strings broken but the dialogues are functional.

If it helps, the mod i'm translated is the Eyes of the Sun that i downloaded from this very forum

It's an April Fools upload. There's only the usual 3 main files plus a readme filled with ramblings.

For anyone interested: I managed to fix the problem.

 

The Loc files i was generating with steam_uploader.exe were given default names that were already in use, so it was generating conflcts. I only had to rename them and change the info in the modfile.txt and it now works fine =D

oh I think I know what the problem is, now I am not 100% sure it is that but I also have the string missing thing with text, when you use the Localization file from discord server don't use "Localization.exe" file but use "Localization.bat" and don't drag and drop just run the bat file, like I show on the image and make sure that .loc file you get change it name like for example "2421057171_english" to something like "2421057150_english" as I found out that if you have mod with same localization name the second one will not load in game and will show that missing string text, I hope this helps you dude as it did to me, sad to say I had to find out this myself hehehe

I need small info if I may, so I notice that some class mods have something name "mode" in there ".info.darkest" file and I have no idea what dose that line dose (the one on the image)

can someone tell me what dose it do and is it safe to delete from the class and what will happen if it is gone? pleas

By default, a combat animation will  use "combat" mode. 
Some hero has specialized mode, for example Abom has beast and human mode. Without the mode line, the combat animation won't be really functioning. 
 

1) Check whether the combat animation has many states/modes. If it has least a "combat" mode/states, then it is safe to delete the mode line.

2) Other way to check is to look for the ability list in hero.info -> check whether there is line ".valid_modes". This line mean the ability only available if this mode exist and used in combat. 
If there is no ".valid_modes", it is safe to delete the mode line, since the hero does not really use the mode.

thank you so much dude for telling me all this but I am a noob and I don't know how to see that or what to use it, I look on to google and what I found it say I need software name Spine and that I don't know how to use also but for now am just not gonna delete those lines in mods when I edit stuff or anything also am sorry but one small question again, I did small test on a mod, I edit the thing, deleted the line I first ask about and when animation play it would stay stuck in that animation and when you use some other skill it would stack in that one and so on, dose that line dose that or am not understanding something right?

A bit slow on the draw here, and it seems Niknerozz filled in, so let me be brief.

 

In [char].info the "mode:" lines usually imply that a class has different modes for operation, base game example is abomination. some modded classes use the same system to store "charges" in modes. One example is THIS class.

 

It uses the modes to store various "1-up" charges, to spend them later on ridiculously powerfull abilities. In total the class has chiyofox_A, chiyofox_A2 ... chiyofox_B7. modes, a whopping total of 11... If I recall correctly.

 

Modes in [char].info are merely to spell out what abilities the different modes can use. look for the (.valid_modes] argument. (And of course the "default" of a class. (.is_raid_default]]

The same modes appear in [char].effect and [char].buffs to determine which effects and buffs are applicable to which modes and what they do.

If you want to simply remove a mode from a class, then make sure that you don't leave it in a state where a mode shift leaves the class unable to function, this requires a bit more than surface level digging more often than not.

 

Also, side note. Use Dragonbones 5.6.3 instead of Spine for looking at or altering animations in DD. It's worked for me and I'm really close to finishing up a full modded class. Yippee.

Shit, wait. I didn't answer the question now did I?

 

Just removing the "mode:" line is ill advised, and I'm willing to bet that it'll brick the class, You need to search through both [char].info and [char].effect AT LEAST and properly de-couple/rewrite them. (Removing the .valid_modes arguments in .info... and .set_mode arguments in .effect.) Even then there's probably segments in either trinkets and/or buffs that will make the class function weirdly, or even soft lock.

 

To put it plainly, you need to remove any/all parts of the code that reference back to the mode you want to remove.

Does anyone knows if there are more amputee/limbless mods for DD, besides the cumlector and that arbalest class skin?

Tried looking, but I just can't find more like it.
