How does one get a complete body? Assemble it in nifskope?

Well, if you're going to be using Blender to work with the body, just import the different pieces (feet, lowerbody, upperbody, hands, head, hair) into Blender and join them all into a single mesh. From there, import and parent a skeleton, make your pose by manipulating the armature (skeleton) in pose mode, "apply" and "make real" the pose, then delete the skeleton.

At that point you have a static mesh in the pose you want that you can work with the way you would any other static mesh.

The only problem is that it will have all the personality of a carved piece of wood.

Ah, I see. Thanks. As a side note, I think I now understand why so many of these statics are bald and eyeless :)

there is no real reason for any of them to be that way other then simplicity or to conserve file size. it is just as easy to add hair, eyes , eyelashes and so on as it is body parts

Yes but for some reason whenever I move the head with any skeleton, the hair/eyes/ears stay floating in mid air in their original position.

I am jumping on the weagon and ask about the headmesh. It looks like something ripped' date=' but not like the Final Fantasy or AIR head...

And please don't hit me if this has been asked before, I haven't visited this thread in ages and some of the images are not loading for me.

This guy is the only one that has this mesh, apparently. I think it's a modified version of the jihilhead.nif, the one that's used for the FF race. Bad news is that he never shared his stuff until now, soooo... if you manage to get a hold of it, you are my hero.

Nope, it's not a private mesh. The blogger, trywhat, also goes by trywhat on Nexus. He posted images of his character on the Mystic Elf Feminine Head Replacer http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/36270 page, and if you translate his blog, he talks about coming up with new textures for that specific

head.

Anyone an idea where the hair is from? That's one of the wigs from the apachii goddess store. Would love to have it as actual hair.

Also the race?

If Apachii doesn't give credit for the hair then he\she made it themselves , which means it's only available as a wig, though you can easily make it an actual hair via CS .

Regarding the race - it is probably from MPB or x117 races, I'll look into that later. ;)

The hairstyle is Pretty Cure #22 named 'Komachi', included in MBP. Apachii has made wigs from several Pretty Cure styles.

And the race from that Piaworld picture looks like a Moonshadow Elf to me.

I facepalmed extremely hard right now after adding the wig as hair in the CS. :D

As for the race, i don't think thats a moonshadow elf, i'm playing one and the face/head is different. Could be a custom mesh in the image, if that's really a moonshadow elf.

What problem have encountered with the hair? I assume it's something to do with the normal maps..?

*Also , if you install MPB , which includes that hairstyle like Poontank said, you may add it to the desired race even more easily.

Sigh. No, it is not the head you linked there. I made a comparison screen:

e3rxrbez.jpg

The head on the left is the one used by the FF-race (jihilhead or smth like that). The head on the right is the one you posted a link to.

Here are some screens of trywhat's chars:

ScreenShot565.jpg?d=a0

ScreenShot470.jpg?d=a0

Now tell me which head resembles more the faces you can see in the screenshots. The nose and mouth are enough to tell that this is NOT the one you linked to.

I am 99% sure this is indeed the jihilhead, albeit with fixed morphs and stuff. I have no idea where he got that mesh, most likely he fixed it himself. The jihilhead itself is nowhere near private, you can get on loverslab from the modified FF race. But it has bugged morphs and whatnot.
