TomatoEddie Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Hello, All, if you play “The Sims 3” on a Mac, you’ve probably faced some mind-boggling challenges when trying to configure some mods. i, for example, have been playing with Twallan’s NRaas for over three years, and am still finding ways to fine tune it. NRaas, in my dictionary, means “awesome — but demanding.” earlier this week i wrote SuperStorm about the possibility of sequencing “Passion” animations; he answered the Mod offers such tool, and it is quite easy to configure and use. after a couple email exchanges, he suggested i should open a thread on the subject — which i agreed to do. i believe there must be other Mac Sims 3 players around LL, and some (and i know that for a fact ) are just too bewildered with the Mods themselves so to “fool around” with them. hence this easy (and rather boring, i shall say ) step-by-step guide on how-to script Passion’s Sequenced Animations. I) Scripting a Sequence in Passion — Mac Version 1. click on your sim so to access her/his/its interaction menu. then, click on “Passion”; 2. when the “Passion” menu opens, click on “Settings”; 3. with the “Settings” menu opened, click on “Sequences”; 4. then click on “+ Add Sequence +”; 5. an input window such as the one below should open; insert the name of your Sequence (text and numbers) while avoiding the use of spaces — e.g. “TableShort” or “Table_Short” instead of “Table Short”; 6. after inserting the sequence name, click on “Accept”; 7. a menu — “Editing “(your sequence name)”” — opens; click on “+ Add Position +”; 8. a new menu entitled “Select Position” opens; it lists all the animations (or positions) available. use the scroll bar or the up/down arrows to choose one of the animations by its object type — in my example, i selected the “Massage Table”. please note that the ensuing animations/positions will all be related to the same object type; 9. an input window opens; in the text area, please insert a numeric value representing the length — in Sim minutes — you want this animation to last; 10. after clicking on “Accept,” you are back to the “Editing “(your sequence name)”” menu; you should see the Animation/Position you chose, and a “+ Add Position +” option. click on the latter; 11. a new “Select Position” menu opens; this time, however, it shows only the animations related to the previously chosen object type. click on another Animation/Position of your choice. 12. again, an input window opens; in the text area, insert a numeric value representing the length — in Sim minutes — you’d like this new animation to remain. if you want to add Animations/Positions, please repeat steps 10 through 12; 13. after you’re done scripting your Sequence, you may want to have it changed. 14. by clicking on a chosen Animation/Position — in this example, the first one “**** BlowJob Massage Tables” —, “Passion” offers you six options: Cancel — annuls the editing and leave the menu Change Length — alters the duration of the current Animation Change Position — to select a different Animation/Position Move Down — places the current Animation/Position after its next Move Up — places the current Animation/Position before its previous Remove — clears the current Animation/Position from the Sequence 15. in this example, i opted to Move the Animation/Position “**** BlowJob Massage Tables” down one step; since there were only two Animations/Positions, it became the last instead of the first one. 16. by clicking on the “X,” you leave the Sequence editing option. the Mod then asks you if you want to have the Sequence Repeated, 17. and, next, if you want to continue “Passioning” after the Sequence is over. actually, i always do. :-) II) How to Use the Sequence under “Passion Settings” (pic. 3), configure the choice “Initial Category” to “Choose.” then, when you click on an object and choose the option “Erotic,” the Mod will show you all available sequences and animations. III) Finally i’m still testing Sequence Scripting so the understand its limitations and flaws (if any) on a Mac. so far, i was able to script a rather long sequence (24 animations/positions — over 2.5 Sim hours) and it responded smoothly — no jamming or lagging. any technical question on “Passion” should be directed to SuperStorm; nonetheless, if you have any doubts about the scripting process, i’ll try my best to help you. cheers, All.
_cindy Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 I am also on Windows 10 and found this incredibly helpful. Thank you.
landess Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 I don't use Passion but was always curious about menu layouts. While not inclusive, it gives me some idea without installing it myself. Nice job dealing with issues. Post some screenshots from the MAC, what I could see looked good.
holychristian44 Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 Would anyone who has already organized the animations for passion mind sharing his/her sequence file? There is a setting where you can import a sequence file in passion. I just don't want to organize all these 400+ animations lol.
