caseymj21 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Hi! Just having a small problem. I see that there are options to control and customize how and when followers are able to be assaulted with Sexlab Defeat, but it never seems to happen. I have the option enabled and even when I turn all the chances up to 100% nothing seems to be happening. They always gravitate towards me during the assault events. Anyone have any insight on this?
valcon767 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 couple of questions (that might help) does your follower(s) surrender when the PC is defeated?? if not has your follower(s) been defeated?? for a follower to be assaulted they must be defeated themselves (either by surrendering or being defeated as well as the pc), as well as have a valid npc (person or creature if that is enabled) available. this is off the top of my head (due to not having Defeat currently installed {I was testing a different anti-death mod}).
KoolHndLuke Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Yeah your follower should be in a knock- down state the same as your pc. Then you will see options for them in dialogue tree like "how bout fucking my companion here instead of me?".
Nazzzgul666 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 @Op: it doesn't happen always even with 100%, not sure why. At least if it's only one attacker he will always chose you, there must at least be a second one. Multiple rounds increase the chance. Yeah your follower should be in a knock- down state the same as your pc. Then you will see options for them in dialogue tree like "how bout fucking my companion here instead of me?". That happens only if you surrender, right? Because if defeated i never get a dialogue in the first place.

caseymj21 Posted September 21, 2017 Author Posted September 21, 2017 Hrm. She goes into a knock down state the same as me. Maybe i'll let the entire scene play out a few times and see if I can get it to happen.Edit: HOKAY, so I got it to work and its fantastic, however, my follower goes into the standing position between assaults even though shes set to be either trauma-ed or exhausted in between them. Thoughts?

Thoughts? So long as its not messing up anything I wouldn't worry about it. Does the same thing for my game. You might mess with MCM settings though.
caseymj21 Posted September 21, 2017 Author Posted September 21, 2017 Ehh. It's fairly immersion breaking.
KoolHndLuke Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I'll take a look in my game and see whats happening. It's working fine for me now, though I have seen them get up like that in between scenes. It's probably another mod that is affecting their behavior. For instance defeat is supposed to put them in an exhausted state on the ground and then if your pc is still being sexed then they are supposed to stay down until all animations are done and the aggressors are satisfied and then you are left for dead or whatever. But say another mod is putting them back in an alert state where they just stand there ready. So it is either some tweaks in the MCM or you go digging to see which mod is conflicting. The system is not perfect. Animations sometimes get messed up or actors wander off- so it is difficult to nail down problems given the almost infinite situations and mod combos that people use. Just try it in different places- indoors is better and see if you can tell if there is a pattern.

Possible Solution (Skip to the TL;DR if you don't care about the "how and why") This is a necro topic but I thought I'd post one (maybe common) cause and solution to this specific conflict - I just fixed this issue myself and wanted to help out in case someone someday runs into this little problem again. So, your companions (and not you) are getting up during the LAST stage of a sex animation (as their partner continues the animation without them) right? Your issue is quite possibly related to an old version of SlaveTats. Many mods use it to apply things like tattoos and skin textures based on various events usually related to an SLAL animation (Apropos is a common one, and was the interacting factor making SlaveTats keep breaking defeat.). Also, it's just a popular mod in general and always worked for most people, so many (well, me. I am "many" here) probably never updated it. "If it ain't broke, don't update it, or it could break my whole mod setup", as the old saying goes. Buut old versions of SlaveTats used a built in /disable and /enable on the affected NPC to make the tats appear instantaneously. When this happened DURING an animation it would /disable then /enable the target actor, which caused the actor to appear to suddenly stand up. Since the actor's movement was still disabled through another script, it would just sort of.. sit there stupidly as its partner(s) finished the animation without it. Well this isn't an issue for most mods, because they don't tend to add tats during an animation. But if you've got this problem, you might already know what I'm driving at. See, a different mod -Apropos- has a sub-feature called "Wear and Tear" which tracks a character or NPC's (such as a follower's) sex history. If they'd had enough of any kind of animation class (oral, etc) within a short enough time period it would apply a debuff to the character and change a couple of tracked values associated with the history. This "wear and tear" tracking script takes its cue to fire off at the LAST stage of a sexlab animation. These "wear and tear" value change drastically more during an aggressive animation, often hitting the next "wear and tear" level after just one scene. So we're almost there. A linked option within apropos is to apply an appropriate tattoo (using Slavetats) to match this level of activity(such as smeared makeup from too much sex). See where I'm going with it? Defeat fires on follower > aggressive Sexlab animation fires > gets to last (climax) stage > apropos fires "big wear and tear change" > Slavetats fires /disable /enable to apply W&T texture change. Then your follower appears to get up and stand there doing nothing as the animation continues without him/her. This would look a lot like the problem was with DEFEAT and not with something else, because this /disable /enable was a lot less likely to happen at times when many aggressive animations weren't firing in such a short time - making non-defeat sexlab scenes often go by without hitches. The "stand up during animation" problem was intermittent in most places but very frequent in defeat - particularly when creatures were involved. This ALSO (/disable /enable flip) has a tendency screws up defeat's script and can break your follower for the rest of the defeat scenario, which just adds to the frustration, and the suspicions that defeat was the culprit. Interestingly, for whatever reason Apropos wouldn't apply a W&T Change on the Player until the last stage of a sexlab animation was over, and that's why your PC would never appear to do this, but followers and NPCs would. This put me off finding the solution for some time, because it only affected NPCs. So I was looking at NPC / follower mods and defeat settings, not framework mods. But, KoolHndLuke's comment kind of put me on the right trail and I narrowed it down. So update slavetats. So TL;DR If you use Apropos, update slavetats to solve this problem. It isn't defeat.
