kboom Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Hey guys, i'm learning about creating mod, but i dont want the my new mod or follower interfere with my modded profile. I use Mod Organizer, i edited few mods and save them and i dont know where they save (i run creation kit through MO) And does anyone know how to alt tab skyrim? Do you guys use windowed or full screen? Thank you!
Akzyra Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 With MO two things can happen: It either overwrites the original file, or saves to the Overwrite folder. And yes, ALT+TAB is known to be shitty. I run Fullscreen and rarely have crashes. But I avoid alt tabbing because ENB makes it load like 20 seconds before I can see the game. Windowed is more crash prone to some from what I picked up. As you are not fullscreen, no alt tabbing problem should be happening, but on Loading Screens the game appears frozen.
Varithina Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 The edited esp should be in the overwrite folder, note the word should. As for the alt+tab there is a ini edit somewhere that allows it, from what I remember by default is set off, so alt+tab crashes the game. Mostly full screen borderless unless I am having problems, where closing the game down can be a pain in full screen, with task manager not being brought to the front, at which point I will run a smaller windows so it can be shut down until I sort out the problem.
Andy14 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I do not use MO and do not know whether it is possible to start CK as a profile instance in MO. CK normally works directly with ESM / ESP in the DATA of Skyrim. ALT + Tab must be used several times (at least 2x). Example: ALT + TAB to switch to Taskmanager. Then ALT + TAB back to Skyrim - do not close window for tab. In the tab window again Taskmanager, then Skyrim and Enter - and wait.
