KiTiTy Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I've been getting the fnis ERROR(9): Index was outside the bounds of the array and I'm not sure if its because I have too many animations installed, as I don't know how to count them. Is there any way to see the number of total animations currently installed?
Kakabishan Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I've been getting the fnis ERROR(9): Index was outside the bounds of the array and I'm not sure if its because I have too many animations installed, as I don't know how to count them. Is there any way to see the number of total animations currently installed? Hard to do so, only way you can figure it out is by disabling some animations like some SLAL packs and see how close you are to hitting the limit by not getting that error.
myuhinny Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I'm pretty sure FNIS lists that at the bottom after running it. So just run FNIS and see how many it registers.
Stiffon Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Doesn't FNIS list that at the bottom after running it? I'm pretty sure it does. So just run FNIS and see how many it registers. /agree. iirc FNIS is limited to 8000 or you can try the experimental FNIS XXL that increases it to 12000 but comes with a warning label that doing so may cause your computer to spontaneously combust or something...
KiTiTy Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 ahh, I'm unable to get to the bottom to see the count, as it ends like this: ... Reading ZaZAnimationPack V7.00 ( 26 furniture, 29 offset, 0 paired, 0 kill, 0 chair, 0 alternate animations) ...All Anim Lists scanned. Generating Behavior Files.... 34 GENDER modifications for Animations\male 46 GENDER modifications for Animations\femaleERROR(9): Index was outside the bounds of the array. The error is always after the 46 GENDER modifications for Animations\female line, maybe this indicates a problem with female animations? I've also unchecked many animation packs in MO, although I'm not sure if unchecking them (on the left side) is enough to completely disable them. I may have click and dragged something from the Overwrite section of MO after running FNIS into the base data folder, although I don't specifically remember doing it, that might also be messing it up >.< Thanks for the answers, feel free to pitch in if you have any clues how I might fix.
SangriusDarkblade Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 FNIS XXL has worked fine for me.
KiTiTy Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 I actually got past the error(9) by uninstalling anything FNIS related and installing the XXL version. it looks like 98% of the time error(9) means too many animations, but in some cases I've heard of it being load order problems (unofficial legendary patch being at bottom, for example) causing the same error. Its possible that my manual placement of the overwrite files from MO was messing with FNIS, maybe making it think there were more animations or something. I tried replacing the EXE with the XXL version, but a full uninstall and reinstall was what fixed it for me. It likely could have been a combination of a bad install of FNIS and over 8000 mods. The error I'm getting now is ERROR(76): Could not find a part of the path and I hope to solve this on my own. Thanks, and I'll come back to this thread if I find an easy way to count mods for others who might be troubleshooting in the future. Update: It took me 3 reinstalls of FNIS to get it to complete, but thank Akatosh it completed. Each attempt threw me different errors, including FNIS itself crashing with an unhandled exception. So I guess if you've done everything else correctly, reinstalling could be the solution to some FNIS problems.
johnkenway Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 download anim loader, in MCM menu, there is option "count anim". There you can see how many animations you have.
fore Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 fnis ERROR(9) = too many animations Not necessarily. In some cases MO can cause the (Microsoft) runtime system used by FNIS to return this error 9. As always, the MO author was not willing to further break this problem down.
