apocalypse. Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 So I was wonderin wouldn't skyrim be more fun if clothing were devious devices Reader: Whoa sym I know your crazy but this is too far Get your mind off the gutter what I mean is a dcl thing there's a chance where devious devices are hidden in normal clothing or armor and they lock on to the player when they put it on so helmet = hood collar and gag breastplate= harness corset hobble dress chasity bra or belt legs= ankle cuffs leg cuffs pony boots restrictive boots plugs and other restraints gloves = mitts restrictive gloves armbinders inflatable mitten. Send me a message if you plan on making this as i will assist in being lazy and only doing the post part so detail xD
Lozeak Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2611-devious-magic-v16b-24052016/ Does it one way (if you mean armour become a devious device) That said if you mean when you equip something it is cursed and it, it self is a device. (I don't think this has been done) I want to do this at some point for fun (since it would be a small mod) The issue is tracking what has been equipped before Then setting up the device armour ID (DD uses a script armour and rendered armour) Then making it so you can attach the script to armour your equipping (worse case you could do this manually) And doing this all in a way defining variables is left to a minimum. Lastly, making sure the keywords are set correctly for example if a cursed armour didn't have zad_lockable set then mods that remove clothes would glitch the gear out. I'm pretty sure it's doable, for me it's would take maybe a week or so (to get the basics done) but since I really want to finish the mod i'm working on now it won't happen for a while. There is a problem too for say some things like say a helm that doesn't cover the mouth that had a gag effect would look bad. There are again ways to do this. If no one makes it though and I don't get bored of modding I will try and make this one day. The removal system I'll have is they will be a witch that can remove cursed armour but the cost will be semen like in Trapquest as a nod to that game lol.
Corsayr Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 There was a brief discussion about trapped armor on the DCUR forum. But as it was pointed out there, it would depend so much on play style. How many people have a play style were they put on strange clothing or armor they just picked up? Sure early game when you can run into things that are an up grade, but by the time you put together your first tailored and enchanted suit it would be rare. Again depending a lot on your play style. For me it would never happen as I don't let my character wear anything I haven't crafted or tempered (cheap fiction is that it wouldn't fit since I am a tiny Woodelf in a big Nord world) Unless something newly made could be cursed as well, which seems like a hard plot point to sell. (Who is cursing it, and how do they have time to hang around waiting for something to just be made and curse that, and if they were willing to curse freshly made clothes why not curse stuff you just took off?) So the idea while intriguing gives way to a practicality issue, how often would this situation actually present itself? But what do I know, I'm a Woodelf with L33tist opinions about putting on strange clothes I just took off some dead person. I would however love to seem some if not all of those potion effects from JimmyJimJim's Devious Magic mod incorporated into other mods (or Devious Magic could just be finished that would work too.) There are a ton of great ideas in that Mod.
apocalypse. Posted August 24, 2017 Author Posted August 24, 2017 I would because what if your playing without them op enchants so you gotta tale what you can
Nazzzgul666 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Like Lozeak mentioned, it's one feature of Devious Magic. All you need is this mod.
