Sets00na Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 I'm working on a new weapon mod, but i need help in identifing the types of textures shown below: Urfael (Shadow of mordor) Phantom Sword (Blade & Soul) If anyone has any Ideas, pleas let me know.
myuhinny Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 First one is the normal .DDS file rest are not needed you do still need to make a n.dds file which will look just like the last 2 green pictures but it'll be blue instead
Sets00na Posted August 13, 2017 Author Posted August 13, 2017 I already tried that on the urfael mod but for i got noting. Then I repleaced the for the and got a different result. I know that the green texture is a different kind of normal map, but the rest I dont know.
Sets00na Posted August 13, 2017 Author Posted August 13, 2017 I will post here the original non modified dds files when I extracted the sword model texturetest.rar

I thougt that you didn't need that here in lovers lab. Of course do you need it! Here are two of the forum rules. rule 3 We may be an adult oriented community, but don't be stupid, don't post anything blatantly illegal. Meaning no discussion or assistance with illegal content such as piracy, game cracks, models or textures taken from the assets of other games, or any depictions of underage persons with exposed nudity or in a sexual context. rule 6 Piracy is not provided here. It's not our business where you get a game, but you will not get help with piracy here, and helping somebody else pirate is strictly against the rules. Keep it to yourself. Andy14 Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Firstly - your pictures are (probably DX 11) Skyrim uses DX9. The first is the diffuse - the actual texture. - You need it In skyrim, it is often called as _d.dds. The third is the Specular / Map - in Skyrim as _em.dds called - for weapons. In other meshes - same meaning, other names. In Skyrim it must be as DX9, which means - black-white. - You need it The sixth - green - is a Normalmap as DX11 Tangentspace. You need DX9 Tangentspace (with blue channel) - You need it All of these 3 textures are required. You can use Gimp or Photshop to edit / convert the textures into the correct format.

Rules http://www.loverslab.com/topic/292-rules/?p=6248 Sag mal Winny, wovon sprichst Du hier? @ Sets00na Of course you need permission. LL is not a Warez site

LL is not a Warez site Already tried making a new normal and specular, It didn't work. I messed around with the texture maps. For example, I repleaced the green normal map for the third image and ended up with a mix of both normal and specular yet the blade, when exposed to light, it becomes darker and if its exposed to shadow, it becomes grey. Now about the permision thing, then it doesn't make sense, what about the midna mod, what about the bless armor mod, the blade & soul mods, what about the zelda robe I ported, and the sword I'm trying to fix?
Sets00na Posted August 14, 2017 Author Posted August 14, 2017 Ok, puting Urfael aside, what kind of textures are this? Phantom Sword (Blade & Soul)
Sets00na Posted August 14, 2017 Author Posted August 14, 2017 Update: for the Urfael, I created a hybrid normal/specular map and it resulted in this: On my part, in game and in the newest nifskope, it looks OK. I will update my mod as soon as I can (Although I still would like to know that the other texture maps are). Now I have to figure out the last two textures of the Phantom Sword.
