Another Start - Live Another Life CTD Help please

This might be a little silly to ask but i just have too many mods to find the answer. I've had ASLAL for a very long time and recently i've started exploring LL and getting A LOT of mods for skyrim. I vaguely remember 1 mod in particular that specifically said would CTD with ASLAL and to disable it while starting a new game. I never thought i might actually have to do that since i already had my character and could just change my body if i wanted to with showracemenu so i saw no reason to start a new game if all the mods worked. And they did mostly, but now recently i had noticed some of the mods had quests i could do from the beginning but they never popped up in game. So i said "hey well let's just start a new game that could work" and lo and behold i forgot there was 1 mod that didn't work with ASLAL. So now i just can't remember which one it was and having almost 180 mods to search through makes it a little bit difficult. If anyone can remember any mod from here that specifically stated it didn't work with ASLAL, please let me know. I don't know if i should post my plugins list since its almost 200 plugins, including the default skyrim ones.

The only mods that come to mind that don't work with LAL are Maria Eden (possibly only an older version?) and any other mods that offer alternative starts like Skyrim Unbound.

A lot of mods (almost all of them actually) do their setup right when you press "new game." It doesn't happen during or after character creation, or after leaving Helgen, or after sleeping in the bed in the LAL cell. I know, it seems like they should do their stuff after sleeping in the bed - after all, you haven't really started playing yet, have you? - but the truth is by the time you talk to the mara statue you're already locked in.
So updating, changing, or removing any mods can be just as bad on that save as one you've been playing for 20 hours.
I know it's a pain in the ass to start an entirely new game every time, what with reconfiguring a mass of MCM settings, but it's really the only way to do it properly. Keeping a save in the LAL cell and reusing that save only works well if you make absolutely no changes to your mod list between games.

Yeah i know, but i remember there was one mod i downloaded that said it didn't work with it and it didn't change the beginning it was just a bug that crashed the game everytime it started with LAL, I remember the mod author said to just disable it in a new game.

I was thinking that I might recognize problem mods from my own experiences.

I did see that you have both radiant Prostitution and TDF Prostitution, which seems redundant to me, but that is not likely the issue.

I would look at your AI mods and child mods since I don't use any of them.

No it's definitely not the stealth ai mod. The child mods are to change little potato face running around skyrim, so just meshes and what not, don't think that's it either.

I already had a mods with AS way before i discovered sexlab and they all worked so it's not any nexus mods. After SexLab i've only done 1 new game and added from there. They all seemed to work fine so i never bothered actually starting a new clean save. I had a change of heart when i wanted something else to do in skyrim like some missions, maybe i just didn't talk to the right people or i didn't meet the requirements but still i wanted to make a new game to be sure but when i RaceMenu showed up and the model was T-Posing, don't know what caused that so i finished character creation to see if i could reload that but it crashed. It's obviously not FNIS, everything already worked fine all animations ran great. So i'm kinda stumped until i get an OCD attack and go to every single mod page in order to figure it out.

 

 

Update: I started a new game, changed absolutely nothing, it worked. I hate it when skyrim does that.

Ah. "T-Posing". That will be either your skeleton or your animations.

Hmmmm ... you've got FNIS loading after FNIS Spells. LOOT does it the other way around for me. And I think SLAL has to go after all the SLAL aniimation packs (and I spotted that same thing in my load order, which may explain some lag/freezing I've been getting). Not sure if all of that is an issue. I suggest re-installing XPMSE and then running FNIS. I'm not a modder, so I'm not sure if that will help, but I've been dealing with adding and removing mods for a couple of years working towards my "ideal" game. I'm assuming you're using LOOT, but if not, I do strongly recommend that you do.

Skykids will ctd your game, when using the statue of MARA in alternate start. And whit other talking activators.

I suggest you remove that mod and use another child re placer.

 

Brawl Bugs CE.esp=1 This is old and should be replaced whit Modern Brawlbugs patch.

This is wrong placed. Should be the first esp after your masters.

You also have Beeing Female, you dont get any Skykids children if you get children whit it.

Use RS since that have support.

And Beeing Female.esm should be your last master.

 

This is one mod you dont need since you already have it in Beeing Female.

You can use both SGO and Beeing Female together (but why? ), you'll probably want to disable scaling on one or the other though.

I've never used Skykids, but Beeing Female + RS Children works just fine.

 

@uncle64 - any idea why Skykids crashes the game when talking to talking activators? Does this always happen?

It seems to have something to do whit the dll that replaces the armour/clothes.

Not sure why it does it, did use Sky children and even Rcots before, did try to make one plugin for Beeing Female, but there was to many issues did give up when I did get one mayor HD failure.

There are many post about it in the tread for Skychildren.

Did move on and now uses RS children for Beeing Female children, and TKAA for all other children's. Works fine. No issues at all.

Only needs to be installed in correct order.

 

About soulgem oven and beeing female, does not SexLab Inflation Framework have one fix for the scaling? Not sure.

Well as it turns out i was wrong. The game felt a little laggy and when i looked down i could see into my body, and i have no perspective mods. So i just wanted to quit before i dove into the mods uninstalling what i didn't need. And here i go and read this, i almost forgot. I use SGO + Beeing Female because i like the practicality of SGO, i could make gems into better filled gems and I liked the idea of actually getting a family and such. And that brawl bug is, as far as i know, supposed to be modern brawlbugs patch i assumed it just uses the same name since it's practically the same, perhaps you could provide a link to the most recent one since that's the one i found, and also i've never heard of RS children maybe you could help provide that too. Also everything was just based off LOOT i still don't really even understand how to get into editing that stuff manually and know what i'm doing, i just see the orders in forums and nexus and assume LOOT should be able to tell, so i leave it.

No it dont have the same name. It is not the same, uses the same scripts, but are way better. There are also fixes in it so your game dont bloat and ctd.

You also will need some patches for Beeing Female, you find them in the first page of B-F.

Dont forget the patches for Bruma.

 

You should consider to also use Wrye Bash, so you can fine tune your loadorder, loot dont do all stuff correct. You have some nice guides here and at Steam forum how to use the tools.

 

And if you want your game more stable, make sure that you download and install this 2 mods, nothing should overwrite the files from them.

I've honestly never used SGO and beeing female together, but since SGO or Beeing female worked fine with FHU + Estrus Chaurus (+ cursed loot inflation) i don't see why they shouldn't. All of those react to sexlab orgasm and start doing their stuff then just fine, so i'd expect the same for SGO + Beeing female.

It may be a bit tricky to find reasonable values without inflation framework, but half default is usually fine until for me.

No it is not, since there are other mods that uses it and also changes the files.

 

Add it and dont let anything overwrite it.

Alright if you say so, i'm gonna make a clean install of skyrim too and start fresh... again. Modding skyrim is risky business, even after all these years.
