That's why I love papyrus scripting; it can be written and compiled without ever requiring you to open the CK (aside from attaching the scripts) : D

I'm using Windows 10 and CK was a freaking crash monster.

Now.... it does not crash. Actually running better than it did in Windows 7.

Here's what I did:

 

Right click creation kit's executable, go to Properties, Compatibility tab.

I'm running Windows 10 and CK hasn't crashed at all in over  a week since I messed with it.

 

right click CK's executable -> properties -> compatibility tab. I ran the compatibility troubleshooter. It suggested I run this executable in compatibility mode for windows 8. Ok check the box and choose Windows 8 and Apply.

 

then... same for the papyrusCompiler executable... ran troubleshooter, ...this time it suggested to run compatibility mode for Windows 7. ok... check box to run in compatibility mode and selected windows 7.

 

So... if that applies... maybe give it a shot and see if it helps.
