BlaineSensei Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 so i was doing the companions quest line ... during the part where we get locked in the room and farkas turns into wolf.. when farkas kills em all he exits the room from the now opened path (opened via the lever that locked me) probably to free me but as soon as he goes out of the visible range , my game freezes for a sec and then crashes....
nitrobum Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 had that problem . do you have a vampire lord modifier? if so un click it and see if that helps. it worked for me don't ask me why I'm still working the hows out.

I cant find any vampire lord modifiers on my load order... for a sec there i thought that must be the issue since i once had a mod for that. but now that i remember ... no i dont have any now since i had to reinstall skyrim

Right now i'm inclined to believe it's something to do with sexlab or sos cause i did the quest two weeks ago on a different character with no sexlab and sos and it bloody worked no issues, finished the companions questline even. I uninstalled those mods and might attempt the quest again. I play with requiem so the werewolf bonuses are really good

sidfu Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 to fix that its a issue with farkas. i couldnt find exact cause but i got by it 2 differnt ways for me it was caused by more nasty creatures and perma what i did was 2 things 1. disable werewolf in more nastry creatures. this may ore maynot fix it 2. since i use perma it seemed to be messing with the sword he drops. alot of the times when i force equiped a few of them on him by concole it helped get thru there. so i would recommend disable werewolf in nasty creatures,disable sos on him and do unequipall in concole on him then do equip item of the skyforge 2h sword twice on him. i did that i got thru it. the above person says its sos but for me it wasnt just sos it seemed it was a combination of sos,perma changeing something for him and more nastry creatures.
Ride Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 I think Ekans might be right. I do have the hdt invisibility fix and still got crashes after uninstalling sos and sexlab which are the only mods i had that touch Farkas. I'll do the quest later to test it.
foreveraloneguy Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 The "fix" I've been using is to click on him just before going into that room, then after the fight finishes but before he runs off screen, I do a disable, then enable. That gets me past that section. I never used to have this problem, but then I made a lot of changes over a few months without playing that quest, so I have no idea what's actually breaking it.

I think it's an asset loading issue unrelated to whatever mod setup you got going on at the time since Farkas worked both in WW form and outside of it. Disabling SoS or disabling/enabling him seems to work, but ever since I cut back on some script heavy mods it works fine.

If you do disable it for this quest. to fix that its a issue with farkas. i couldnt find exact cause but i got by it 2 differnt ways for me it was caused by more nasty creatures and perma what i did was 2 things 1. disable werewolf in more nastry creatures. this may ore maynot fix it 2. since i use perma it seemed to be messing with the sword he drops. alot of the times when i force equiped a few of them on him by concole it helped get thru there. so i would recommend disable werewolf in nasty creatures,disable sos on him and do unequipall in concole on him then do equip item of the skyforge 2h sword twice on him. i did that i got thru it. the above person says its sos but for me it wasnt just sos it seemed it was a combination of sos,perma changeing something for him and more nastry creatures.
Ride Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Based Naked Ekans! It worked!!!! First try with hdt invisibility fix the game ctd like before. Removed the mod and the whole event went down normally on second attempt, no crashes. I can be a werewolf again! Ty so much for helping!

Fuzzy_Fox Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 I disabled Farkus's schlong in SOS. Seems to of fixed it for me, managed to get past the crash point and then re-enable his sos latter on.

Skirim is a prestigious bug in Proving Honor It is a bug that stops the game after pulling the lever inside the iron door I also disabled sos (SOS - Schlongs of Skyrim) and removed HDT, but the problem was not resolved This obviously seems to have arisen from another problem I found this solution in Naver Cafe and finished this quest. Now I am forcibly withdrawn from there and I can not join Naver Cafe again and I can not remember the way If someone knows how to do this, I'd like to introduce it.

I had Aela, using customized version from this mod, verified she had no schlong in SOS MCM, she turns invisible immediately after transforming into a werewolf, sinks into the floor after pulling the lever, game freezes and then crashes. After removing HDT Invisibility fix, all of the above happens, but the game resumes after the freeze and she pops out of the floor and then I can speak with her.
skyquester Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 For me it seems that XPMS skeleton had an issue with MNC. I disabled both Werewolves in MNC as well as disabled SoS farkas and got past it without any glitch. It appears that this is an Asset Loading issue at the cave between SoS XPMS and MNC as there was a conflict indication in my MO between XPMS and MNC even after I had manually hidden all the files showing up in the conflicts screen, I have a Save Game just before it occurs. Might try to fix it permanently if I get the time. I am still unclear which of the two fixes actually worked tho.
