myuhinny Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I recently downloaded 2 mods Haydee_Follower_and_Armor.rar and Haydee_Nude_Follower_and_Armor.rar from. http://user619.deviantart.com/art/Haydee-Follower-and-Armor-643741243 One has a nude version and one has a non nude version. I wanted to add the nude body to the non nude one as the body under the outfit in the non nude one was broken and I wanted to add transparency to the outfit later. Neither one had any bounce anywhere for anything so I wanted to add bounce to them and I did that. Everything looks great added transparency to the outfit but for some reason in game the outfit doesn't have transparency even though it shows up great in nifskope. So any info on why something would have transparency in nifskope and not in game please let me know. Thanks.
27X Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 You realize the haydee body is cbbe, right? As in the original body. 619 literally did double the work for half the result, also you didn't post the alpha channel so check that. http://i.imgur.com/I9GZuIU.jpg
myuhinny Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 Even if it were to be a CBBE body it uses it's own textures but it doesn't really matter since the body is one whole thing that includes a top bottom and feet no arms or head and the body from user619 is way nicer looking then the one in the above link in my opinion. The texture transparency works till you run the file through outfit studio then it for some reason loses it. The texture file I modified it using gimp2. Haydee copy.nif
Alter Native Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Have you checked the NiAlphaProperty Flag? I'm not sure why but for some reasons some objects work with the default 237 and some don't. Try 4109 or 4844. There is an explanation in NifSkope that explains the details of the flag. Not sure if this is the problem though, because that means Outfit Studio somehow changes the flag and I don't know why it would do that.
myuhinny Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 Outfit studio at times has done some weird ass shit. Like putting a outfit together in outfit studio from .OBJ files when it comes time to add the texture paths to the items the BSShaderTextureSet are ass backwards. I'll be adding the texture paths for the top and the item on the ass will texture instead. So then I have to delete out the BSLightingShaderProperty line so that both get removed then paste a new one in and retexture it again. I tried 4844 but the outfit in nifskope became non transparent I then tried 4109 that made it really bright but transparent even more but in game it was a bright ass white it looked like there was some transparency but with the bright white it's hard to tell.
par6six6 Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 In the NiAlphaProperties uncheck Enable Blending and check Enable Testing. Set Alpha Test Function to Greater, set Alpha Test Threshold to 128. These are typical default settings. From there adjust the threshold value if necessary. Also, remove the Double Sided flag from Shader Flag 2. Alpha does not like double sided.
myuhinny Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 It has to be something in the mesh itself. I tried it but nothing changed I even removed the BSLightingShaderProperty and NiAlphaProperty and re-added them but nothing changed and one now causes crash on equip. I have one other mesh that is the same as the mesh ran through outfit studio but was instead run through mesh rigger everything is the same minus the arms head and legs to speed up the work. The outfit has all the same settings as the other one but transparency works in game. There is minor stretching as I forgot about the head node as it was accidentally removed. Haydee copy1.nif
