I am looking around to decide on the ENB I wanna use for screenshots and gifs (maybe videos later on) Now I wanna ask, what is everybody's favorite ENB for that kind of thing?

For some reason the original ENB reminds me of Final Fantasy :P In a good way!

Konan enb is the best I've tried so far. Look at jacob76's screens for examples.

Only downside is that the weather doesn't look that good.

Looks pretty amazing tho :o Only issue is that I hardly understand how to install it

tip for op: download this little tool and you can register many presets to always change it fast to your liking and needs, works without bugs and saves ingame changes, multiple dll support, everything you want

I'm liking PNENB + NLA except that I had to manually tweak the interior lighting to get the effect I want indoors (outdoors already looks great without tweaks).  All of the light settings are in the weather ini files which means there's some cool variation in lighting depending on which weather is currently being used (even if you're indoors).  My problem is it relied more on ambient lighting than I prefer in doors so I had to manually tweak each weather ini to increase the intensity of light sources and eliminate the ambient light (just for indoors, I didn't touch outside).

I like Somber Dreams ENB, but I might try out Rudy ENB again since upgrading the CPU in my computer.

Also, if you want to know a few other really good mods to improve the look of skyrim, check out Skyrim HD - 2K Textures. That's the mod I'm using, that mod along with aMidianBorn Caves and Mines. I'm also using a number of textures from Tamriel Reloaded HD, mostly for buildings, that mod looks the best with Somber Dreams ENB though, but that's just my opinion.

Tamriel Reloaded HD:

SMIM is also not a bad idea, at least for light fixtures and barrels and such, that and Ruins Clutter Improved.

Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM:

Also, Rugnarok is another texture mod worth considering.

I would be mindful of which mods are installed first though, as one mod might overwrite the textures and meshes from another, so you may have to go in and pick and choose which meshes/textures you want to use and install them that way, at least that's what I did.

You might know all of this already, but I'm also putting that stuff there for people who may be new, and happen upon this thread.

Tamriel Reloaded takes a huge amount of video memory so if you have a 4GB card, might want to try Vivid Landscapes + SFO.  I get about 40-50 FPS outside with those.  With Tamriel Reloaded I get less than 10.

Ouch.. that sucks. There is an older version of Tamriel Reloaded with 1k textures, I'll post the link below (not sure if it will hep too much though). Generally you don't want to run 2k textures everywhere anyway because they'll bog down your system, even if you have a powerful computer it's still not a bad idea to use 1k textures when you can get away with it, you should be able to get away with 2k textures on inside cells however. In most cases you probably won't notice the difference between 1k and 2k textures in game anyway.

I also used to get bad frame rates, and one of the things I used to do is open texture files for mods that I liked in Photoshop or some other program that recognizes DDS textures, and shrink the size from 2048 or higher to 1024, and I noticed that made an improvement on how my game preformed (if you choose to go that rout though, just remember to save the textures as "DTX 5 Interpolated Alpha", if you don't and there is a transparency layer on the texture, then it won't look right in game). Slightly off topic, but recently in addition to my graphics card, I replaced my CPU from a 4 core processor to an 8 core processor, and that has helped out immensely with all of my games. Skyrim is a very CPU heavy game in general, as are most games these days, something I was not aware of when I built my computer.

Anyway, this is the version of Tamriel Reloaded that contains allot of the textures I use (yeah, they're older, but they haven't changed much from version to version. Also there is a 1k version as mentioned earlier).

I did try the 2k texture version of Tamriel Reloaded but I like the look of Vivid Landscapes better.  As far as performance, I think I'm GPU bound outside.  Nvidia Inspector says my GPU is usually pegged at 90-100% outside but never goes over 80% inside.  And sure enough my frame rate outside is significantly lower (35-50 outside vs 60 inside).

I use an i5-4670 + a GTX 1050Ti.  Was planning on getting something bigger but fan noise drives me absolutely nuts and the 1050Ti is totally silent.  I won't use anything with audible fan noise.  I also have Windows 10 so it wouldn't have helped me for Oldrim anyway.  My system memory utilization never exceeds 2GB (using ENB + Crash Fixes).  Video Memory maxes out at about 3.8GB outside in cities and more like 3.2GB inside.

That's understandable, everyone has what they like as far as texture mods are concerned. It all depends on the look you're going for.

I currently use an AMD FX-8350 Black Edition processor, and an AMD Radeon XFX RX 480P836BM graphics card. I was using an AMD Phenom II x4 965 processor and a 4gig GeForce GTX 760, and I used to get terrible frame rates, not so much in "Oldrim" as I did in Fallout 4 though. In Fallout 4 I was getting rates as low as 0.5-2 fps in certain parts of the ruins of Boston, and was getting around 20-30 frames everywhere else, and in "Oldrim" I was getting around 30-40 frames outside and about 40-50 frames inside, but with bad episodes of lag any time I would try to turn my character, and sometimes the game would flat out crash any time I tried to load it. Since making the changes I did, game play has become more smooth in both games, with an average of about 40-60 frames across the board, though I'm still having issues with stuttering. The card I use is pretty quiet, in fact I hardly ever see the fans come on (not too sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing though), it also helps that I play my games with headphones on. :D Over all though, probably the noisiest fan on my computer is located in my power source, in the form of a faint squeaking noise, but I can't complain too much as my computer is about 5 years old and still going strong.

Rampage ENB, with modified water/sky/dof

Its one of the best ENBs which are highly customizable.

I have enboost but could my pc handle a proper visual enb? something with (if it exists) photo realistic graphics

specs in sig.

On 1080p? Sure.

Just don't go crazy with 4k textures ( i tend to compress them to 2k and dxt ). But still Skyrim likes to hang/lag on my beastly rig. It just happens.

Project ENB without a doubt. Balanced colors, realisitic lighting and very customizable.
