Kernel39 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I read a rumor on another website that a spinoff to Fallout 4 might be in the works, very much like what Fallout New Vegas was to Fallout 3, we might see Fallout New Vegas 2 or a completely new city and story.
Halstrom Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I saw on another website Fallout Moscow was in the works too
zzz72w3r Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Highly unlikely. The only reason FONV got made was Interplay licensed FO to outside developers like Obsidian and Bethesda due to its own financial troubles. Interplay subsequently sold FO rights to Bethesda and to dilute its own IP like that makes no business sense. The only possible spinoff would be a MMO in FO universe like ES:O. ES:O came out in 2014 so it's probably the only other thing Zenimax Online has been working on since. You figure 2018/19 or so for FO:O to keep FO universe in play and TS6 in a year or two after that to displace/revitalize ES:O interest.
Kernel39 Posted September 21, 2016 Author Posted September 21, 2016 I saw on another website Fallout Moscow was in the works too Fallout London would be cool.
bjornk Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Yes, "A Falling out in Maryland" is the exact title.
Zor2k13 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 This game is so boring I don't see how a spinoff would even sell at this point. The online only thing makes more sense as that is the favored way of companies screwing us all over at this point. The last thing I want to hear is some 12 yr old idiot screaming from a game character at me constantly while trying to play a game like skyrim or fallout. I tried to watch a video of ESO the other day and just couldn't stand seeing all those people running around spamming spells and shit constantly it just didn't make any sense at all. How is that shit considered entertainment? I am starting to think that gaming could be replaced by female mud wrestling. Maybe I am just watching low quality porn but most females in porn I see are dam ugly or close to it. Guess I gotta look for premium porn or something lol. What are they gonna spin off? MOAR settlement building? I haven't even gone back to nuka world to get started there I left after talking to all the "leaders" and then getting the open season quest. I was gonna go back there after finishing up far harbor but then I learned about all the bugs that prevent the completion of nuka world quests. Whats the point then? Why bother? They can't even make a DLC that can be finished why bother playing it? Almost everything in this game is fucked up and I refuse to build the same settlements again ever. I'm gonna wait for someone to make a auto build mod or wait for that cell ripper mod to work as advertised before trying to start this game over again. I hope sex mods don't require a restart when the come out.

Gameplayer Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 If I remember right, Fallout rights as an MMO that is online game are actually owned by an unaffiliated company, and are going no where with it but its been a while since I cared enough to look around for that kind of thing. With the way gaming is I just cant get excited about stuff that is years away from being available to play.
Zor2k13 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 From what I have seen so far this year everything has been kinda meh ya know? Fallout 4 was a dud and deus ex has problems. The usual suspects will make their money at the usual times this year and thats it nothing else this year. I find myself thinking more about wtf is gonna happen to the economy and jobs and stuff like that after the elections in USA and europe this year. I am not happy to live in a society with next to no financial growth and people willing to do just about anything to get money it really sucks and I bet I am not the only one either. This is probably why games are crap this year maybe the companies know people are less interested in gaming during an election year.
Gameplayer Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Fallout 4 wasn't from this year that we are currently in. Also I wasn't let down by much other than the moment I walked into the Institute for the first time and the whole story sort of belly flopped right there. Of course that's well that is a huge let down really, but other than that the game was good...The big let down will be when they produce another game and prove beyond a doubt that their writers cant produce a nice serviceable plot line that well doesn't suck. As far as other titles go well there is Total War: Warhammer Fantasy Battles...As long as you ignore the siege battles its fun. >< not helping There is a new Space Hulk FPS game coming out complete with 1st person squad combat and you kit out your guys and hunt down gear...Get to fight the entire spectrum of the Tyranid Race or at least a very wide selection looks promising its due in November. As far as Fallout Bethsada goes they actually seem to follow what the hot topics are for their franchise, which is kind of apparrant if you know what those topics are essentially everything that fans asked for loudly made it into the game even CBBE mods. As examples 1) FPS mechanics 2) Revised easier to understand character creation, you can deny it all you want but if your not paying attention to what people yell for on Bethnet well its your fault. 3) Build Settlements 4) Build Robots 5) Join Raiders, yup long long running topics over there about this. Basically they likely just jumped on that with Nuka World and its a shame. -->Was being demanded for years really, but when the DLC hadn't even started hitting some of the longest running topics were "Join Raider Faction" If you really knew man and in fact some YouTube personalities are actually asking Bethsada to ignore their fanbase cause its just that bad. Apparrantly you really can just complain a storm and get what you want even if its not actually what people actually want for the game. What I wrote above is really just a short list but it can take forever to just point out how a lot of stuff people were writing posts for over there made it into the game. As far as the games staying power it has done really really well for the dollar per hour value and I just cant help but feel that the amount of poor feelings over the game are really more due to the fact that players don't realize that its the mods that keep the game fresh and entertaining. Since there seems to be a lack of players willing to step up to do the heavy lifting to create new and interesting gaming components we are bound to get a whole lot of these threads about how bad the game is.... I mean come on Fallout 4 is actually old as far as gaming usually goes, so the reality is that the player base is still playing a game that's getting on a year old in gaming on electronic media that means its old as dirt. So clearly that has to mean that they expect something to come in and make it fun again. Well that would be mods. Well guess what, Skyrim =/= Fallout Basically there are not as many modders that are willing to create and implement the amazing mods for Fo4. Then again I hear the GECK isn't in a real good state so that might go a real long way to being a part of that...Thing is I have a feeling its more along the lines of people just not wanting to do the work and they expect it too be handed to them. Wake up and realize that the real cool mods for Skyrim are basically 1 to 4 years post release. Fallout 4 is going to be 1 year old in 2 months from now.
Zor2k13 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 The whole beth.theft thing and the nexus snoberator thing are keeping me from making mods now. I don't want to post mods over there or anywhere really and have them end up on beth.theft for some kiddie asshole with a big cell phone and a bunch of bullshit making them some kind of money or stroking their epeen or whatever. Nexus sucks I hate their snoberators and double standards. Every time I think about making a mod and maybe posting it over there I think no that will just keep their snoberators employed I don't want to generate a page that will be stuffed with ads making that site money. I'm sure you are right about the fans demanding stuff and getting it but being a raider is just lame I don't see the lure since I like to shoot raiders all the time and take their stuff. It would have been better if they made mothership zeta and did something with that alien in a cave bit.

I hear you can upload mods to LoversLab too. And your argument for not making mods is like Guns & Roses deciding to never play again or release any more albums or because someone might pirate copy one of their songs.............
Zor2k13 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Well I could just wait a while until all the dumb kids find something annoying to do somewhere else maybe next year sometime they will finally forget the game even existed. I hate guns & roses lol.
Jazzman Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Retirement of trained modders following eruptions in the gaming scene ain't a new phenomenon. They feel fooled by changing conditions established either by the company or the coms, usually understood as blatant theft of the own work, and work modding is indeed. Why oh why didn't I take the blue chill pill like the majority in the user matrix? Once that fundamental question crosses the mind of the modder they morph back into a user, giving the finger at the right time to the wrong people who have caused nothing at all - the faithful users of the mods one has created once. Did that in 2005 and others do exactly that today. Problems for the coms might occur only when the peak of the modding pyramid retires, thus leaving a temporary vacuum behind that ain't that easily filled by aspiring new modders, at least not on the fly. Retrospectively seen it feels good to be nothing but a user, no more pain and sorrow, and no own complains or demands whatsoever. One has fought the good fight. The latter, the chronic complaints and demands that poison the atmosphere, however, has exclusively to do whether or not one belongs to the first gamer generation that stood in front of the very first construction kit when it was all Greek to us. Later generations (such a generation covers a mere five years) already had the privilege of a wide variety of already present mods and tools to customize the aged game which, in turn, has become the root cause of all complaints and demands nowadays - today rookies simply want to have it all and they want it now, not just tomorrow, months (or even years) after game release. Yet time is an unwelcome mystery to them. Maybe I'd be one of them if I only were 15 years younger...
Ernest Lemmingway Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 <snip> The immaturity of preteens ruins the enjoyment for adult players in many MMORPG games. Sadly it's not just preteens. Plenty of adults are just as immature. I've been playing MMORPGs for over a decade and I've met younger players who were just as mature, if not more so, than any adult I'd ever met. As well as adults who acted like petulant two-year-old brats over the tiniest things. For a satirical-but-often-true example of this, watch the current season of South Park. The worst trolls and whiners online might be the most patient and understanding people IRL. The anonymity of an online avatar lets their ugliest sides out to play. Don't trust rumors of a spin off. The only one that has even a hint of legitimacy is the New Orleans idea pitched by Obsidian, and it's only that: an idea. Some people like FO4 so a spin off is definitely possible. But until there's something official by a legitimate company don't get your hopes up, folks.
