Cake or Pie? The battle of the ages!

well...there is the blueberry cheesecake...and then there is the savory meat pies...and to a lesser extent coconut pies (in our country the Philippines)...

so I choose both...win-win condition for me...

 

I'm quite intrigued about this thing called a "cream pie"...some random guy in the net spouted something like "you haven't truly lived till you have tasted my cream pie" to a girl in another forum I was going to...the girl was all smilies after that...must be some tasty pie...and that guy must have been some good patisserie chef...

One of my all time favorite foods is cream cheese pie. There are quite a few cakes that are delicious too, but I'd pick a cream cheese pie over any cake.

Yellowcake and pecan pie is popular in my family history for Thanksgiving. The War between pecan pie and yellowcake been going on for generations...

Cake is my crack and even though it gives me horrible reflux I refuse to NOT eat it. I live and die for cake! CAKE 4 LIFE!

It is possible to make a cake and a pie in the same thing. Tricky but I managed to make one once. Didn't last long though.

 

The trick is getting to fillings which go well together.
