myuhinny Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Not sure not many use MO most use OBMM (oblivion mod manager) for oblivion there are a few that use it but there are not a lot of them. Mo can work but you will have to jump a lot of hoops to get it to work properly.  Have you run BOSS for load order do not use LOOT.  Crash a launch is that at the beth logo? If so then that tells us that you have a missing master or a master is below the one needing it to be above it in the load order.  Running TES4EDIT can find out what masters are messed up. Quorwyf Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 Running TES4Edit in MO is easy, but not always very informative as it will give some errors due to the way MO handles archives by unpacking the files in the BSAs then making them disappear. I disabled everything Lovers related aside from Setbody Blockhead when I bashed because of a vague recollection of seeing someone recommend that here. Â I'm basically crashing a second after the game goes fullscreen but before a logo comes up. All the mods are showing up as green in WB and MO isn't flagging any ESPs with errors so I shouldn't have any missing master problems.
myuhinny Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Is the VipCxj_HighHeels.esm suppose to be in the load order as I don't see it I know that I have it in my load order. Does anything need the VipCxj_HighHeels.esm as I don't see it in the load order?  One thing you could try is to turn off some mods a few at a time try game if crash turn a few more off and try again once the game doesn't crash turn one mod you just turned off 1 at a time while checking the game after you turn 1 on till you crash again then you will know the culprit.

Are you using an older version or did you make that esp an esm somehow? Not sure if that would affect things as I don't think any mods in my setup need it to be an esm, unless it was left out of a readme.

Â Total esp, esm and bsa files need to be under the hard cap at bare minimum. Â You might have a lower soft cap due to your system. Â Try disabling a bunch of stuff and start a new game to see if you still crash. Â Disable your bashed patch for now, until you get things running and then rebuild it.

Then there are 43 merged into the bashed patch and inactive (should be ghosted in WB as well) Â Also, try renaming OBSE_Elys_Pluggy.dll to OBSE_Elys_Pluggy_HUD.dll
Comrade Isbariya Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Have you tried to delete your oblivion.ini in your documents folder? It sounds stupid, but after reinstalling Oblivion I had to do that too, otherwise the game would always crash on startup. If you are using an altered ini file, you'll have to backup it and alter the newly created one by hand. I don't know why exactly but that seems to fix it for a lot of people.

Â Also, if one of you would elaborate on the ghosting thing that would be appreciated.
Fienyx Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 It's part of Wrye Bash. When you right click the File header right above your mod list, there's an auto-ghost option. It will ghost the mods that are merged to the bashed patch and any mod not active. They will be greyed out in the list, but if you look in your data folder they have .ghost added to their name. ie: NPCs Eat More.esp.ghost It lessens the amount of esp's the game has to look at. No point in looking if they're in the patch.

It turned out that my crashing was due to the ini referencing a DarkUI'd Darn font that I accidentally deleted. Â Thanks for all the tips everyone. I feel like I now know enough about oblivion modding to be a noob. Â Now to figure out why I crash when I try to start a new game.
