And it wasn't what was being discussed but the fact that you were arguing like a 12 year old who only wanted their way and the thread devolved into senseless bickering instead of constructive criticism. I think you were mistaking me for the other guy. I was the one who simply was politely discussing (if you bothered to read the thread) whereas he came in, started getting insulting because I simply didn't see his post and respond quickly enough, and ended up posting random offenseve pics/quotes somehow attributed to me, while I attempted to remain polite with him. Yeah, sure, childish. lol. Yep, that one is still baffling. It's pretty clear to anyone reading that thread, except Ashal for some odd reason, that it wasn't you who was being bad in that thread. You were extremely civil, nothing even remotely questionable. Someone else in that thread, not so at all. Ashal is confused, or at least that's the only reasonable explanation.

I don't have it out for Kashiwaba, he started up a discussion again that was already locked once, and so it was locked a 2nd time. There is nothing puzzling about this. Had anybody else from the initial thread started the topic up again, I would've said and done the exact same thing. But on the other hand' date=' where will the line be drawn? Maybe next time mods about rape are banned? Who knows. [/quote'] My only aim is to make the place a more welcoming community, porn images everywhere is counter to that. I have no desire whatsoever to place any sort of restrictions on the type of mods, beyond whats already in place. This is intended to be a community where people can freely discuss and work on the sort of projects they want to without judgement from others. I'd just like that to be a nicer experience for everybody is all.

Only a single person had been causing problems in a thread. As for the new thread, it was completely unrelated (aside from presenting a political opinion you apparently REALLY disliked). All I did in that second thread was point out the results of a US primary election in the state of West Virginia. And it was totally seperate, because here in the US it is almost unheard of for ANYONE challenging a sitting president in a primary to get any sort of good showing, and this guy got 41% of the primary vote against President Obama, and it was made (in my eyes at least) funny and thread worthy because the guy who got 41% of the vote was in federal prison at the time.

It's not a huge deal to me. We all have our own sensitivities to certain issues or even just bad days. So is Obama forever a forbidden topic or has enough time passed? Or was the topic Marxism? What exactly was the no-no topic from that thread? I seem to recall a wizard going on about racism, but no one else cared to even touch that crap. We just ignored it and moved on and certainly didn't bring it up again or start any new threads with it.

Thesapien, you and I have had some teeny tiny disagreements in the past and I don't think we ever really stooped so low that all we could do was insult one another (at least not more than once or twice..errr..surely less than 10, no 15 20 times). Now please do not bombard me with a play by play as I am accusing NO ONE of this, but rather let's look at things in a common sense light: "Posting a thread on why all "X, Y, Z" should be exterminated or some such, is never going to generate intelligent, thoughtful and mind expanding discussions."

Starting a thread just to start hating on politicians you don't personally agree with isn't being civil So apparently it's "hating" to mention a convicted felon and federal inmate winning 41% of the vote against a sitting president in that presidents own parties primary election. For those non-US people here, that's actually a pretty big thing for ANY sitting president's primary elections to NOT be rubber stamped, and was the point of the thread. But apparently pointing out things like that is mean....... or just goes against the politics of Ashal.

Sometimes it was due to a better man/woman running against them and sometimes it was just due to back luck. Personally I think Obama represents all that is soulless and wrong but starting a thread topic on this is plain silly. It begs a flame war happening as others will line up to say that he is a saint. Why can't we just all blame Big Business and rich people for all our woes and tax them to make everything better....it works for the Dems.......(sarcasm intended to prove a point)

Do you think I'm an employee of LoversLab who sits around on the website all day and follows every post? I'm not. I'm a volunteer who works 10 hours a day at my actual job during the week. I would be shocked if I even get to read more than 3% of what's actually posted in a day. I was at work the entire time that thing occurred. But, no, Gandalf accusing you of racism isn't civil. Which is why I deleted a thread a day or two after it where he was claiming to post profiles and quotes from you on what he deemed racist websites - whether the information was factional or not, I didn't research it. As I told him, if his claims are true, it's nothing we can hold against you on LL unless you did that kind of behavior on LL, which you don't. And I also made it clear to him you can't abuse people on LL regardless of how much you disagree with them.

As for the time, I've modded enough myself over the years to know just how much real work it can be, and it says as much to the community that he infact DID get ignored as widely as he was (and to be fair, the quotes he found likely WERE Real, just not by me, username comes from an anime, so odds are it's been used all over before allready) As for the civil behavior, the main issue really being raised was twofold. The first would be the first of the threads that was locked, only really Gandalf was being rude in it, everyone else was simply going with the topic that the thread had slowly segued into, and even more so managed to do so in a civil maner when they didn't agree (once again, to the credit of the community, everyone argued but still remained polite and respectful) The second was the later thread which was locked, which was simply discussing a primary election, one in which a challenger had gotten 41% of the vote against a sitting president, which was unique enough to warrant conversation (and indeed, the thread also had conversation) due to the fact that sitting presidents in the US virtually never face any opposition in their parties primary election. It was all very simple to find and took about a half hour. And I dislike Obama, and have (unlike you) been able to state here my position in a civil manner (often linking to relevent news articles) and you claim that makes me racist. lol edit: replying to something I missed earlier It begs a flame war happening as others will line up to say that he is a saint. Far from it. That first thread lasted multiple pages with only a single person flaming, and everyone else did great disagreeing. Did we argue ? Fuck yes we did, but everyone in that first thread did it in a rather polite and friendly manner, no name calling, just civil debate.

Again i wouldn't have posted that he is a racist had i not been convinced by what i found.I used content-specific keywords to find his posts it was very easy for me given his personality.I know what he is and had my username not been mentioned i wouldn't have posted today. I admit to being uncivil to him and i don't have a problem with that,as i said he deserves far more.

However like many presidents before him the campaign promises that he made in secret are what he has honored instead of the ones that he made publicly. Racism is merely a form of ignorance. Hating a color of skin is like hating an entire country or an entire religion....simply ridiculous. Having said all that I do hate folks from California.....never said I was perfect

We can all now see for sure that Gandalf was and is the only one in these threads whose behavior is causing trouble for the rest. (And since some of us are throwing in our votes against Obama along the way... I never voted for him and never would. I don't hate him as much as the previous Prez and Bush family because that is like hating a fictional character like Colbert. He's filling a role and plays it well. The source of what I really dislike has more to do with the script writers and the Bush family is more a part of that source.)
