hey! i'm  working on a new skin texture set for the wonderful Jane Bod by Nightasy

there are currently 3 skin options: shaved, trimmed & tanlined + a Lustrous bodyslide preset

took a bunch of screenshots while working on the skins and made a little slide intro of them.

Not even close, its superior to UUNP and CBBE combined   Although it does have some aesthetics  of uunp.

new skin added: tanlined

 

also added an option in the installer for alternate specular textures - starting with a sweaty skin option - works for all skins + raiders

 

modified the body preset slightly (finally got all the way to the bottom of the JB slider options lol)

+ some minor details on the skins (freckles and such)

added an optional wet skin material that works with any skin replacer (careful, things can get really shiny!)

will do an installer for it soon with more control over the wetness level

 

also, i recommend checking out Hek-Ya Jane Body Presets Collection for some cool fitness themed bodyslide presets!

I thought the speculars weren't as good as the stuff you released for NN regular, but then I tried out the materials. Nice. Anyway, without the material files, the body is a few steps lighter in tone than the head, with materials it kind of gets disguised by the shine so. Also been meaning to ask, one of the issues with JB regular textures and I think some other texture, maybe Oni's, is that there's a seam at the upper thighs and Nightasy said it's not fixable, and yet NN and Lustrous fixes it just fine. What's up with that?

 

Shame JB clothing conversion hasn't taken off, maybe the prospect of 300 sliders is daunting. Also a shame that the vanilla meshes are so low poly, and that really doesn't translate well when you go above A-cup breasts - unless you use CBBE since some of those meshes got a poly upgrade.

 

Oh also, those Hek Ya presets are excellent, better than anything I've had the patience to make.

the default speculars are made the same way as I do the NN ones, but I think maybe the NN textures seems to have more going on in the spec with all the dirt and grime. Also these are still sort of the first version. I intend to add a few more optional speculars to choose from, like the sweaty one that is in the installer now. It is true, I think skin tone overall is a bit different than the vanilla tone, it is a bit more warm. 

 

The seam at the thighs had to do with the normalmap, which I managed to correct so it should be gone on the Lustrous textures almost entirely. The NN JB version is still using the default normalmap and still has this problem, but I just need to update it with the lustrous normalmap. the remaining seam appear to be at the back of the neck, which i'm not sure i can fix with the textures, but i might try again at some point. 

 

I think JB is the best for doing most regular sized body shapes with some nice muscle detail - for planetbuster sized breasts you may wanna stay with CBBE

It takes a bit of effort to make presets, but it's not too bad once you have a nice starting preset to work from. I think the Lustrous preset is a good base for making adjustments from, and yea, NarHekka did a lot of cool presets with the Hek-Ya collection ^^

Amazing body of work Zen. All your skins are amazing.  Would love to see a working vag insert to keep these skins viable going forward.  Some great work being done on the physics front to make these bodies sing.
