Project Management Software?

Anyone know where I can get some project management software? One that can be used offline and run straight from the computer.

I gave up with Microsoft Office products after they pushed and forced the Upload Center on people. I didn't even ask for it to be installed and then when I found out I couldn't even prevent it from automatically starting up I called it quits with Microsoft Office.

 

Thanks for the suggestion but I am not using Excel.....

Unfortunately the defacto standard for professional project management is Microsoft Project.

Not sure of alternates. I haven't used any project management software that wasn't Microsoft Project. If you can find it somewhere perhaps a fully licensed (not subscription) version from a few years ago. Cheaper and might not auto update.

It states it is free for task list management. That is pretty basic however for 10$  a month (billed annually basically 120$) you can have more features and collaborate with others

Just downloaded and trying this one out currently. It even makes a point at it was made to 'get rid' of Microsoft Project

Anyway software like this (which I haven't used either) can help you figure out the paths and such easily. take a look at the video.

Open Office has a spreadsheet application that works very much like excel without being excel and there are templates available for project management (not actually tried them myself though)
