[Idea/Req] Tripping/Falling

Hello! This idea just came to me while I was playing. I ran into a troll cave with a new character and so I had to run! When I turned around to run away, I hit ctrl instead of shift. Which made me sneak instead of run.

 

So I thought it would be cool if someone could make a mod that has MCM menu to change the chance of falling sometimes. To make it easier to code, just make the game force you into sneak mode for a few seconds. Maybe make it combine with devious devices, so if you have pony boots on your chance is higher to fall.

 

Ideally it would be cool if there was an animation just before tripping and you could press a certain key in time to cancel the fall. And maybe add a sexlab defeat addon so if you trip, there is a high chance your character will be assaulted. But that would be asking for a lot I think.

 

If I knew anything about making mods, I would try myself to make it. But I don't know anything about making mods, just installing them  :blush:

This was a fun thing in Oblivion. There was some mod that if your character ran out of stamina, you would ragdoll in that direction. I had a ninja dash dodge animation and my character would occasionally ragdoll at high speeds. Man, I miss how responsive animations were in Oblivion.. :/

Hm, I wouldn't narrow the loss of balance on running away - instead it should be a global equasion, always active. Like when a giant hits you with his club, and you can "block" that attack. Running away and getting hit by an arrow would also cause the character to stumble. A hit from a troll with a swinger form one his arms... many scenarios come to mind.

 

The whole "knock down" topic is more or less always dependend on a certain amount of HP left (I know, not always). That shouldn't be the case. You can safely fall down even when wearing full plate armor.
