You don't have to use NMM to use the fomod version:

 

Download the file and follow these steps:

1- Open the archive (w/ 7zip)

2- Open up the "1 Magazines" folder

3- Open the folder of the magazine name that you want

4- Copy the "textures" folder inside to your FO4's "Data" folder.

5- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for any other magazine you want

 

Done!

Never had that problem, the mod shouldn't conflict with anything else, do you CTD by using any tape at all of just the ones from this mod?, Maybe "Videos of The  Wasteland" is acting up or has a conflict with another mod?

I noticed something strange

 

I have a holoplayer in my home, I put every video available in it (including Razorwire's S.P.E.C.I.A.L. tapes)

Set to random, no problems, everything worked as it should.

Then I went and made another holotape player in another settlement (on the other side of the map, so distance shouldn't have been an issue)
I put in a dirty movie and it played that video just fine
 

The weird part is what happened after.

Once the movie finished, it played the Strength video from Razorwire's mod.
This is what happened when the player was on 'Ordered' play.

I set it to 'Random' and restarted the player. Nothing happened - the TV was on, but it was black + blank.

 

I just thought I'd let you know, though I'm sure it's not your mod causing the problem.

 

I will also make a post in Razorwire's mod stating the issue.

Trust me I have no mod, which may conflict with your mod, I have only mod dresses. The good news is that not again have more CTD.

I hear you man, I do get that sometimes, all I end up doing is remove all the tapes wait about 2 to 3 seconds before moving all those tapes back into the player, sometimes it gets stuck so just go into Edit mode, remove the player and add it back in. The framework is kinda finicky at times, understandingly so since Razorwire built it using FO4Edit, hopefully he'll get around to rewriting the mod using the CK soon.

Something is off with the installation, each holotape has its own video. try this:

 

1- remove the tapes from the player

2- go into edit mode

3- remove the player

4- wait a couple of seconds

5- put the player back

6- open the transfer window of the player, wait until you see the "TV is ON"

7- put the tapes back in.

 

usually that would fix any funky behavior. If the problem persist, try to clean-install Videos of the Wasteland and my mod and see if that fixes things (uninstall both mods, run game, save, exit, install Vod And my videos, run game, save, reload the save).

There are actually a lot of retexture mods, which is always great, more choice, different styles and all, but I'm trying to aim for that bit of relevance in the game, true; they're not immersive by any means but I do aim to make the work a bit more relevant to the world in the game and I like them like that and I hope you do too

I've been trying to contact the artists that I used their work in the retexts. and it's been a bitch hunting them down, lol, that's mostly what's keeping me so far, SABU was the first to give me the green light, really cool guy and it's a relief since his art is just great and the majority of the works I used in the banners/poster are his. I'm still waiting on the rest, hopefully it won't be long

But maybe could older style porn be possibly used instead of present day clips? maybe even retro style or 60's and 70's porn? I am guessing maybe its hard to find that kind of old porn but then even the music could be found to fit it, that funny 70's style corny music..hehe.

 

Or...maybe just some good well animated porn animation, cartoon or 3D, maybe even relevant Fallout4 porn animation? 

 

I just feel when i load the porn holotapes the modern club music and present day porn seems out of place.
