Almodo Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Every once in a while, parts of my body or armor just plain old disappears temporarily when indoors, and only indoors. Usually it's in specific but random places indoors too. But if I move from that place it reappears again. Sometimes going back to that specific place doesn't cause me to disappear anymore. Pretty much happens in every indoor place ever visited, randomly. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Pretty much happens in every indoor place ever visited, randomly. Has anyone ever experienced this? A long time ago I had something like this. For me it turned out to be related to some kind of lighting/visual effects issue. For example: I could walk through a room, and as I passed underneath certain lighting the character body would become invisible. Walk out from under the lighting, and it would re-appear. I can't remember exactly how I solved it, but I think it had something to do with the way I had Dynavision set up. Could have been another mod, not sure. I do remember I went through and disabled mods one by one until the problem disappeared.
Almodo Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Interesting, because that's how it happened to me too: under some lighting.I'm using RWLE, so that's probably the culprit. Will investigate; thanks.
myuhinny Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Do the ones that become invisible have transparency on them (NiAlphaProperty)? Click the nif that is doin git next click the part that is becoming invisible and look under the hghlighted line to the left for NiAlphaPropertyif it has it then that can be the culprit as NiAlphaProperty doesn't play nice with some lightning. Like in skyrim a outfit with NiAlphaProperty on it if you jump into the water and look at your player from above the water they will be naked go under water and they are not. It can also be affected by angles and what not.
Kendo 2 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 If this is about New Vegas it is a vanilla game lighting glitch that appears with custom light bulbs and some overhauls. Other causes are: Too many light bulbs have overlapping radii in one area. The light bulbs in the cell have increased radii over what they were set for (if a light has a radius of 256 and it is set to 500 in the cell the game can't decipher the saturation, fade, exponent falloff, etc.) There are static or movable static FX (light rays, haze, fog, smoke, etc.) within the radius of the lights and the alpha layers cannot stack properly. There are lights dropped into the cell where the color ranges do not compliment one another (red and green lights within each others radii.) The cell ambient lighting, image space modifier and dropped lights have the issue above where the lighting colors conflict. There are other causes too, but those are the ones I know for sure cause characters and some world items to blink in and out at certain camera angles.

Also the disappearance affected the glitchy vanilla Expanded Flamer Tank too. If this is about New Vegas it is a vanilla game lighting glitch that appears with custom light bulbs and some overhauls. Like those trash objects in the floor that blink in and out of existence? Yeah, that happens very often too. So it's a vanilla game glitch. Well then, ain't nothing to do on my end then! ┐(´д`)┌
Guest Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Like those trash objects in the floor that blink in and out of existence? Yeah, that happens very often too. That's usually bad placed trash. Perspective swaps position of objects, based by the angle of your view, if they're positioned too much close each other.
Almodo Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Oh well let's just agree that FNV is a very magical game.
