FNIS and SL aren't working

Lately I have been having trouble with SL ever since I been downloaded the newest version. The creature animations and sex animations aren't working and I believe it has to do with FNIS not working. Have download and reinstall FNIS ( Allows needed version and creature) and SL Framework and these problems keep coming up. I believe it has to do with an error with FNIS but I'm not sure how to fix it. 


 


This is what happens when I run FNIS:

You SL installation is fine. When you get a "?" it does not mean that SL will not work.

A "x" is a problem.


Keep in mind that if your skeleton has only 99 bones, you are not using an extenderd skeleton.

So some animation may have some problems running.

Use XPMSE.

I see 2 warnings from FNIS.

One from the wrong installation path, and the other is not shown in your log.

But you are NOT using XPMS, you still have only 99 bones.

 

 

What mod manager are you using? MO or different?

did you edit where you placed the tools? They need to be in the correct place.

I get this warning many times as well. It ends up being that I needed to start Skyrim at least once then go back and FNIS works again. (clean install or removal of the settings .. new clean profile etc, etc.).

You can load Steam almost anywhere so long as it is a legal version of Skyrim from Steam. If you start fooling around with the files and their locations you can trigger the warning. If it is a legal version it should work even with that warning.

 

I was loading up mods to see if I can crash it with animations.. lol. nope haven't done that .. however I don't think I get even half of those animations though.

Since you must launch FNIS through Mod Organizer in order for it to recognize your mods, add FNIS to the list of executables by doing the following:

  1. In the right pane, go to the Data tab.
  2. Locate the tools folder and expand it. Then expand the GenerateFNIS_for_Users folder.
  3. Right-click the GenerateFNISforUsers.exe file and select [Add as executable].
  4. In the window that opens, type FNIS for the executable name.
  5. Click [OK].

Now each time you want to run FNIS, simply select it from the drop-down menu at top right and click Run.

did you edit where you placed the tools? They need to be in the correct place.

I get this warning many times as well. It ends up being that I needed to start Skyrim at least once then go back and FNIS works again. (clean install or removal of the settings .. new clean profile etc, etc.).

You can load Steam almost anywhere so long as it is a legal version of Skyrim from Steam. If you start fooling around with the files and their locations you can trigger the warning. If it is a legal version it should work even with that warning.

 

I was loading up mods to see if I can crash it with animations.. lol. nope haven't done that .. however I don't think I get even half of those animations though.

 

I've just download FNIS through MO with my nexus account and run FNIS through MO. I have no idea how this is happening.

Since you must launch FNIS through Mod Organizer in order for it to recognize your mods, add FNIS to the list of executables by doing the following:

  1. In the right pane, go to the Data tab.
  2. Locate the tools folder and expand it. Then expand the GenerateFNIS_for_Users folder.
  3. Right-click the GenerateFNISforUsers.exe file and select [Add as executable].
  4. In the window that opens, type FNIS for the executable name.
  5. Click [OK].

Now each time you want to run FNIS, simply select it from the drop-down menu at top right and click Run.

Yes. No more warnings and the full 242 bones of XPMSE.

 

Just out of curiosity, which install option gives 242 bones?

 

I use HD so I use the default option and that only gives 115 bones.

I have also only gotten 115 bones.

So this is my first post on here so please be gentle.  I am having same problem as OP, but I am using Nexus Mod Manager.  I have XPMS so I know its not that.   This is the error Im getting
