Ubercharge Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Sound of Pain  Limitations: -works only on female character  Features: -two versions of pain sound, when your health is low.  Replaces original heartbeat sound -voice is by default female character so it should fit seamlessly -some pain groaning at first, then it gradually changes to painful breathing, with some word phrases and coughing  Download link: mediafire mirror  Other stuff: -feel free to post video review of this mod -feel free to criticize the mod, just dont say it sounds like she is getting banged, because it does.  however at least for me during combat, it quite fits atmosphere...  I have no other options, these are most fitting sounds I could find by same voice actress as female character  Sound of pain (female character) by Ubercharge.zip
zippy57 Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 You should probably post this as a proper download file.
Revuu Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Can we have a youtube vid showcasing the sounds?
Ubercharge Posted December 18, 2015 Author Posted December 18, 2015 Can we have a youtube vid showcasing the sounds?  I actually asked if someone can make it,  but this is not kind of content I want on my channel, so no,  for a preview, that sound files are in wav so you can play it.    BTW one of sound is the one female character makes when she gets out of the vault and sees the world   I will post it on nexus and here as soon as someone tests it and no bugs/issues are there  I think nothings wrong, just Im making sure not to break game
iaqualdo Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 I've been using it for a few hours and it didn't show any issue yet. It sounds amazing too! thanks
sen4mi Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I have trimmed down the sound files slightly - removing the words and most of the coughing. Â I know that this might not match everyone's preferences, but maybe someone else might like this version? Â And I should really go and extract those ba2 archives myself, instead of just waiting for other people to get stuff done... Â Sound of pain (female character) Version2.zip
handsandarrows Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Thank you! i had similar for skyrim as well, and this is really well done! I hope i can ask you, i use this mod, version Voice Type D1 - i think maybe you would know how hard it would be, and what program to use, to pitch your mod in similar way?
Ubercharge Posted December 20, 2015 Author Posted December 20, 2015 Im not sure if it is possible in Audacity, but 90% you should be able to do it,  audacity is even free   I use FL studio for any more complicated edits, but you shouldn't have any problems pitching it up
ZMods Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I like the mod, good work. Sadly I am paranoid about health and tend to heal up instantly, so I don't get to hear it much. Does anyone know if it is possible to make a mod (or alter some settings) that plays the two audio files at higher health percentages, like say 50% and 25%? I have tried looking around and I can't find any information about how I would make such a mod myself (or if it is even doable yet). Â Otherwise good work, are you gonna do this treatment to any other sounds? For example having a quick look, there are sounds for when you are becoming addicted to chems and when they wear off, also does limb severe damage have a sound for it? Â Â

I use the same mod, also Type D1 ... here's the Sound of Pain (version 2) converted via Audacity (12.2% pitch shift). Is there any way to trigger the sound for testing? I've tried `player.setav health 1`, which sets health low, but didn't trigger the audio. Molotovs work but are imprecise Sound of Pain for D1.7z

I haven't found console for that either, what worked very well for me was craft Tesla Coil Trap

I haven't found console for that either, what worked very well for me was craft Tesla Coil Trap   The following gives constant sounds of pain:    player.setav health 110 ... followed by ...   tgm ... or ...   tim  Seems health may start at 100? Dunno. But `tim` is "toggle immortality mode", so health never reaches 0. Slightly more immersive than `tgm` (god mode), because you still use up ammo and AP, but according to this guide, it can really mess things up if you run into a Deathclaw's kill animation.
bc733 Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Nice mod. Your dirty textures are great as well. Anyway, can this be made to activate only when limbs are crippled?
Halstrom Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Actually it would be good if crippled limbs had a painful shriek / scream
bc733 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Actually it would be good if crippled limbs had a painful shriek / scream I'll give this a try with a simple file swap, if I can ever locate the sound files.
