topk3k Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 So, even though I've been here a while and downloaded a ton of stuff, this is my first post. Most of the time I find fixes for things but for this I could not. I have EC+ installed, along with Estrus for Skyrim (not activated bcuz EC+ sed so), and I don't have actorEvents because EC+ said it didn't need it anymore. I have all the requirements, tried it with Estrus for Skyrim activated, tried it actorEvents, etc. but for some reason EC+ still does not work. Please note I am spawning the Chaurus in via the console because - in theory - the effects of EC+ should still work, and I don't know where to find chauruses. NOTE: I may take a while to reply to any help, as I am posting this before bed and have work in the morning. Thanks in advance.
Veladarius Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Spawned Chaurus should work, they have for me (id A5600 is the one I have used as I remember). Check the MCM menu for Estrus Chaurus and see what the chances for the tentacle attack to happen, I think it is only 15% normally.
Mart0206 Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Did you check, if the animations are registred in SL? Did you enable the Estrus Attacks in EC+ ?

EDIT: in reply to Veladarius, that id is not the one I used, I remember the console listing several NPCs named Chaurus, but when I spawned them in, it was something completely different, one was a Necromancer, the other was a Falmer Skulker, I think.
Veladarius Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 I found some chaurus didn't work with EC, it is either a limitation of EC or something was changed by another mod or DLC.

Ok, just tried it with your Chaurus ID, with both Estrus enabled and not enabled, still didn't work. Might try using actorEvents.

Noted. Guess its still unsolved then. Thanks for the help.
Veladarius Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Do the animations show as registered in the MCM menu (as shown below): If so then it may be a script issue, if so then upload a papyrus log from when you get attacked. If not then the animations are not registering with SexLab so they can not be used.
Faerniir Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Perhaps he has the mod disabled? When you go into the edit list. There is a part that says Enable/disable right under the attacks chances. If he may have checked that, then the attacks will not function at all, due to being disabled. If not that, then there is an error or some other mod is causing the problem. Some mods, such as Monsters At War will conflict with the events, as it doesn't give the EC+ to activate as an attack event, since it forces creatures to fight against each other. That could be a problem. Using this as an example, because it has happened to me, till I fixed it.
zaz rocks Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Just posting for anyone else who is looking for the answer to this years later like i was. I had the same problem as OP down to a T, what fixed it for me was making sure i was using the correct version of EstrusForSkyrim for Estrus Chaurus + which at the time of writing this is EstrusForSkyrim V1.60r1 under old files on the nexus (could be subject to change, just keep an eye on the requirements for Estrus Chaurus+). Also take note that once i had installed a newer version of EstrusForSkyrim on a save game i was not able to make Estrus Chaurus + work even when uninstalling it and reinstalling the correct version (following the EstrusForSkyrim uninstallation guide in Skyrim). However on a new character it set up, the animations registered and the chaurus spit triggered estrus which then triggered pregnancy. Hope this helps some lost soul.

Hey, I just tried to figure out EC+ and noticed, that I cannot register animations in sexlab. At least it does nothing... I m using a new Estrus Version. Can this be the problem then? And from what I understand from you: I cannot fix this other than making a new game? even when installing the older estrus version?

However, on the Estrus for Skyrim page it says a new game OR to try using save cleaner. On 8/11/2018 at 6:24 AM, zaz rocks said: Hope this helps some lost soul. Thanks. Not tried it yet but thanks anyway.

At least it does nothing. Sorry, just saw this part. I had no problem with the animations registering. I have had at least one show up during a regular sex animation. What I don't get is the actual Estrus attack thing, whatever that is (never seen it so don't really know). I'm using the latest EC+ and V2.22 of Estrus for Skyrim. I'll try the V1.60r1 trick later if I get the chance. EDIT: I've removed v2.22 and installed v1.60r1 but not seen any change. Couldn't use save cleaner as I didn't want to go into the game after removing v2.22 (I was pregnant and didn't want to screw my game).
