Voids in room

I'm having a weird issue with a custom room: every door hole and stair seems to be edged by a void wall, which kinda looks like the empty space beyond the cell. I'm not sure what's causing it, maybe someone here can figure out what the problem is. I can pass through the voids just fine and the room beyond it renders properly, but the same wall then pops up behind my character.

My current guesses are:

-ENB issue

-Improper alignment of sections

-Fallout being Fallout

If it was just the ENB then someone can test your beta that don't have ENB's etc. However I never heard of that effect in relations to ENBs. Only with cell creation errors l ike mentioned above.

 

Of course this is coming from someone that hasn't modded anything more than changing an hair or eyes on an NPC to another one. Oh I did create a blank ESM once.. :P (Don't mean that this alien hasn't read volumes of info ;))

Portal

A portal connects two Room Markers together. Think of a portal as a doorway into a room marker. If there were two room markers next to each other with no portal in between, then we could not see the objects in the room markers unless we were inside them. If a portal were placed between them, then we could see the objects in each of the room markers, assuming we're looking through the connecting portal.

 I've been getting something like this with vanilla locations; the Kings headquarters and the Hoover Dam interior.

 No ENB. I do have the Depth of View mod, however. I'm going to try uninstalling that and see what it does.

Isn't this one of those allow multibounds issue?

 

I believe multibounds caused issues with GECK, and you're supposed to turn them off ("bUseMultiBounds=1" to "bUseMultiBounds=0"), but I already have them turned off, so I doubt that is the issue. I could switch that around and open the room in GECK again.

I've managed to track the issue to the room markers, deleting them fixed the issue. Now I just need to look up whether that does more harm than good or can be marked as a fix.

I had a similar issue with the inside of Camp Golf. I only had a handful of mods loaded, so I did a fresh install but I haven't made it back there to check it. I did use a couple of mods that changed the posters and billboards, not sure if that could have contributed somehow. Minimal experience (and luck) modding FNV.

I don't think that billboard and poster replacers have anything to do with this issue.

Room markers/portal markers were the issue, but they seriously drop FPS, so... Well, luckily people don't spend that much time in this cell, so it's not a major gamebreaking issue, but I think we can mark the issue as explained for now.

Hah whats wrong Ritual?  Turns out your smarter then you thought you was!

 

Throw enough crap at a wall something will stick ;).

 

Halstrom and Doctasax keep on trying to abduct me for GECK initiation but I keep on escaping. Helps that I have no bones in my body.. very flexible. :)
