Mr.Friendly Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Hello what mods would you recommend to make skyrim more cartoonish and anime like. I am going to give this a try: K enb http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58338/?To make skyrim more colorful and then maybe see if I can make DovahToon shader look good with it. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46024/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D46024%26preview%3D&pUp=1However I doubt it. (Or this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/420/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D420%26preview%3D&pUp=1but it seem broken.) There are many hair mods and eye mods. However I can't find one to do a full face change on all NPC. With http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12951/?you can create "normal" anime eyes to yourself, but is there any mod that can make all NPC have bigger eyes. Like this. So what I am mostly looking for is a way to change the default eye size on all npc at once. With as little hazel as possible. Also I don't want to go and edit all npcs in game. I know there are a few mods for that. This one does not seem to have eye size either. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4554/?
Mud Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 While trying out various ENBs, AIR ENB's color palette seems to be more towards the cartoonish side, with very blue skies, very green foliage, and more vibrance on exaggerated colors: There is no way to change all NPCs' looks at once, the only way is to overhaul each one, one by one.

Okay thanks looked into Air more and stumbled upon this enb. Think I will go with this. Damn was expecting that. To bad. Had been fun with an anime Skyrim. xD Or is there some thing like npc editor where you can just change small things quickly? (Eye size)
snarfies Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 You may want some of these NPC makeovers (warning: moonrunes) - http://blog.naver.com/sidearmf93
livevil Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 I once tried to replace all Wood Elves with Elin, but it ended up a horrible mess. So replacing races, or all NPCs at once wouldn't be possible I think. A body mod on the othe hand... I'm sure, pretty much everyone on this board runs one body mod, or another. ;P So you propably noticed that all NPCs changed their body, AND FACE using the models provided with the mod. Iguess, that replacing the vanilla face model with a modded anime style face the same way any body mod replaces models, would cause all NPCs to wear variations of that face. It's easier said then done though, cause the face needs to be rigged to work with lip syncronization, the character creation sliders an all the additional face parts like nose shapes, and orc tusks. Hm, I kind of want to do that now. I guess, I'll look into it, but I can't promiss anything. ^^

They do look more anime like, But still not as anime like as I want them to be. There eyes just needs to be a little bit bigger. Like these http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu221/the_unkwon/NamiNicoRobin2.jpg I once tried to replace all Wood Elves with Elin, but it ended up a horrible mess. I mean most of skyrim already looks like an anime so why not go all the way. xD
Rayblue Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 An emporium of anime-style clothing: http://modtype.doorblog.jp/ Otherwise use the tags when searching in Nexus.
Mr.Friendly Posted August 7, 2015 Author Posted August 7, 2015 I played around in skyrim racemenu and got this together. I just needed to raise the eye size on adorable face. The only problem now is it would be fun to do that on all npc at once. In something like an mcm menu. (Edit universal eye size.) But if that can't be done this will have to do.
Viasu Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Try this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61178/? and http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56056/?or http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13722/? This should fix both npc and your character appearence. Mikan eyes will only apply to your character though.
pajiman Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 count me in many resource from My RaceMenu Present

That's what I am using on the picture above. count me in many resource from My RaceMenu Present That one had many good links inside. Thanks. It's to bad it only works on your own character. Any good hair replacers for npc out there? Only found http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/67145/? As And Ks http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59269/?tab=3&selected_game=110&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fid%3D59269%26user%3D1%26gid%3D110&pUp=1 Also this can give npc hair and eyes from other mods but seem broken at the moment. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51612/? I was given this awesome link on a wip mod enb that makes skyrim real cartoony. http://kotaku.com/mod-makes-skyrim-look-like-a-pixar-film-1722709926 Will be released on nexus.
Effie Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 You can try to give Snapdragin ENB a try. That's the one i used for the picture in my profile under "About Me" and for my profile picture as well. I don't use it currently because i use rampage enb instead, but it gives adorable face a softer more animeish look.

Melandrhild Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I think the blog Ghost in the Skyrim has some anime eyes / hair and such (hope it hasn't been listed yet !)

Mud Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Those are kind of less "cartoony" and more "we ripped all the textures off of everything and left only the base colors". Like cel-shading, except ugly.
Killing Joke Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I took a look at the link, it reminded me a lot Torchlight.
Guest Vendayn Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Those are kind of less "cartoony" and more "we ripped all the textures off of everything and left only the base colors". Like cel-shading, except ugly. guess everyones eyes are different. I like that WAY more than the vanilla textures and lighting. And it will run a lot better on my PC than overloading skyrim with my realism graphical mods and still look really nice. I'm personally really looking forward to his Skyrim toon texture mod. Looks nice (to me) and will give a pretty big FPS increase. (edit: Its probably cause I actually like cartoon-like graphics/art style more in games than realism style. I like both, but I like anime/cartoon graphics more. So its probably why I like the textures the guy did more than what Skyrim (vanilla) has.
Viasu Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 count me in many resource from My RaceMenu Present That's a wonderful collection. I'll use it on my next play, thanks man.

No, it's not about being cartoony, it's just completely lacking detail of any sort. The two designs are not mutually exclusive, that just looks like a cheap indie game you'd find browsing the Steam or Xbox Marketplace bargain bin, or something slapped together on a tight deadline for a competition. Just look at games like Zelda: Wind Waker or Jet Set Radio Future, you can't just wipe away all the details and call it a day.

Not nearly as good as my modded Skyrim, but I'd get a huge FPS increase and it looks better than vanilla (to me). Guess like I said, everyone sees something different. Then again, I still think VANILLA WoW looks better than most modern MMOs which aim for realism
Guest Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I think that what MrFriendly want's is stuff like this But unfortunately, the guy that posts these pictures has not released the anime-like textures
