Zt11rauss Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 So I've had the problem when I wanted to start a new game I wasn't able to do so because of a terrible bug. The wagon you are sitting in when starting a new game was either very bumpy so you would make several somersaults and half of the people with you would die from impact - or the horse would stop halfway trough - or it won't even start moving at all because the horse is stuck. I checked all my mods I have installed and come to the conclusion that this error occurs every time when one or more of the following mods are installed: Convenient Horses Helgen Reborn Race Menu Realistic Needs and Diseases and Sneak Tools The problem is after I could confirm that these mods caused the error I was not rid of it. I had to find several more mods that I suspect to cause the same error but whenever i tried to nail it down by installing one mod after another and then checking it ingame, I often received the bug as well. But when I removed the mod I installed last the bug still remained. Because of that I had to remove several other mods I still suspect to cause the same error. But I can't say it for sure. The mods I had to remove out of suspicion are: Tropical Birds Skyrim School of Witchcraft and Wizardry ZazResources and all Sexlab Mods so far. Because I'm not able to nail the problem down I need your help. Has anyone here heard of this bug or even got it himself? Can anyone confirm that this is a sexlab issue as well? I'm using some of the most popular sexlab mods such as sanguineDebauchery, Defeat, Aroused, Agressive Prostitution and STDs - any of them could be the cause of the bug (maybe they all are?). So if one or more of them are causing the bug it would be a big problem for me
jacb Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I know that such stuff is caused by Touring Carriages + SoS (there was unofficial patch for that, which didn't help me with Helgen start unless I exited to main menu and tried it again). Also I've seen few suggestions that HDT-related mods might mess up wagons, can't confirm that myself tho. If all else fails, there's always an "alternate start" mod option.
Zt11rauss Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 Okay, but you didn't have this kind of problems with any of the sexlab mods? I find it very strange that it's occuring this often. Maybe there is a mod on my system which is causing this problem when installed together with any of the sexlab mods? Or this is a problem of all sexlab based mods?
yatol Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 the problem is that unbound quest will wait for the cpu to take care of the quests that have a priority highter than 80 but this quest can't be allowed to wait (once the horse have turn, the carriage have to follow or it go crazy, when the other one stop at the door, it have to be opened now or it will stay closed, etc etc)
Shadowhawk827 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I also heard one other site (TES Alliance? - I don't remember for sure) say that Schlongs of Skyrim will cause this bug on a vanilla start. Found that while searching for the solution to a nearly identical issue. That site (whichever one it was) said to leave SOS disabled or uninstalled till you cleared Helgen. I never tried to verify the bug though so I have NO idea if it's accurate. MY fix was to follow the advice of the modding guide on the Nexus and play a completely vanilla Helgen start, wait till after you exit the cave, save the game and use that save as a starting point for modding and character editing. That includes saving it for starting new games after the current character also.

srayesmanll Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I had this happen to once on the XBOX 360 (NO MODS). So mods are not the sole cause of the problem. The possibility for the problem increases the more mods you have. I had this issue on the PC version before sexlab or SOS ever existed. Some people have reported that Immersive Armors can cause the cart problem (probably in conjunction with another mod, SOS maybe). Back before sexlab and sos, the problem was blamed on Animated Prostitution and other animation mods. The fact is the problem is where it always was, with Bethesda. The are only 3 solutions: 1) Never use any mod . Simple, but as I stated above when it happened on the 360, not foolproof. And frankly, not fun. 2) As Shadowhawk mentioned, wait until later to install mods. Personally I'd do it after the dragon attack just after entering Helgen Keep (the first time you can actually manually save). Other similar theories state to install only mods needed to create the character prior to starting, then add the other mods later (in the keep or after exiting as mentioned). 3) Use a mod to bypass the start. AltStart-LiveAnotherLife is probably the most popular, but there are others. Besides, the cart ride is boring anyway (especially after the first 5 character creation).
yatol Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Funny, my game has never been more stable. does the flying carriage make someone ctd? but if a stable game is an argument...
Zt11rauss Posted July 29, 2015 Author Posted July 29, 2015 the problem is that unbound quest will wait for the cpu to take care of the quests that have a priority highter than 80 but this quest can't be allowed to wait (once the horse have turn, the carriage have to follow or it go crazy, when the other one stop at the door, it have to be opened now or it will stay closed, etc etc) So you are saying, if I set a higher priority to the quest (maybe change the unofficial Skyrim Patch?) it would work normal again with all mods? Oh and by the way: I had this happen to once on the XBOX 360 (NO MODS). I tried every mod in my list one by one so I can confirm that the latest version of Immersive Armors on its own isn't causing this bug. ipresentinterval set to 0 might cause this. I didn't use that configuration. That's not the cause on my system.
RedMonika Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Try an alternate start like Live Another Life as it has an option for the vanilla start. It might help everything to load first. I remember having this issue a long time ago and then it just stopped. Don't really know what caused it or resolved it.
Zt11rauss Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 I've now had a completely new bug. The wagon before mine stopped out of nothing and my horse started moving the wagon across the mountains until it couldn't get any further. Then it crashed into nothing and the wagon started spinning around just as already mentioned. What is this shit with the game starting? -.-

Then it crashed into nothing and the wagon started spinning around just as already mentioned. What is this shit with the game starting? -.- Actually, you have a completely ANCIENT bug. There are numerous theories and explanations of the causes (SOS, Immersive Armors, SOS and Immersive Armors combined, AP, any animation mods, etc). Hell, I had this happen to me on the 360, and I had absolutely NO mods. So the simple explanation is: Bethesda screwed the pooch again. There are a couple of resolutions: 1) Activate only the bare minimum mods needed to create a character. Run through the intro/cart ride, create the character, get through the dragon attack, then when you enter Helgen Keep, save, quit, activate all of your other mods, then load game and continue. Some people say to wait until you leave the cave, some say do it when you enter the keep. Up to you which one to try. 2) BEST SOLUTION - Use an alternate start mod to completely bypass the cart ride. It is boring as hell (especially after your 3rd character). Most people seem to use AlternateStart-LiveAnotherLife, but there are others out there. Download one of those and use it.
