What music do you listen to?

I'm very new to this Forum string. I was referred to it by the talented @Simpossible_xx. It looks like fun so I figured I'd throw a song out there about what seems to be the theme, Running. 

A catchy little tune with a surprisingly dark message but the tune is super catchy and I dig the vibe. Anyway, here it is...

Funny, I always liked that song when it came on, but never paid attention to the lyrics. That's a cool surprise.

The more the merrier, I say.

 

A song about shoes, not running, but I like Kate Bush.

Thank you for the welcome. Much appreciated. I can commiserate on the running out of reactions thing. Happens to me on an almost daily basis. Nonetheless, we persevere and just comment instead. 👍😎

Yeah, It one of those tunes that doesn't sound anything like what the lyrics are actually saying. I'm glad you found it interesting.

As I recall, @Simpossible_xx suggested "women" as the next mini-theme, starting tomorrow. It's still today for me in UTC -7:00, but it's tomorrow in most of the rest of the world. And, as I noted, I love women, so, here's a song sung by a woman, about being a woman. So, yeah, it qualifies. Sadly (no jokes), she is no longer with us.

I just now realized that song is about her, loving someone like that. For decades I wondered in frustrated befuddlement how you could sing a song about someone, to that person, and then belittle them for thinking they were the topic. Tonight, while watching that video with the narrowed eyes and furrowed brow I reserve for my oldest enemies, I had a goddamn epiphany. It might take me years longer than it should, but I get there eventually I guess.
