PS I don't want to use XPMSE because it causes female characters to have torpedo like breasts on my setup for some reason... EDIT: One interesting thing to note is that when I open up my inventory, I can see the sword switch to my back as intended, but as soon as I close the inventory, it defaults to the hip.
Les Enfants Terribles Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Fixed it. Was caused by HDT weapons lings for some reason. Just uninstalled it. A shame though, I wanted to keep using it. I am sure I selected the right options while installing it...
Groovtama Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 PS I don't want to use XPMSE because it causes female characters to have torpedo like breasts... PPS. Hey captain crap installation, it causes that when you install body mods which had been broken by the author in the first place because they made it incorrect.

If I works for others and not for you it is not the mod that causes the problem it is YOU! Because you installed probably blabbas old HDT Body and not the CBBE-HDT body that is with the latest Bodyslide. Because latest Bodyslide CBBE-HDT has no Breast01 bones which are causing the torpedo effect, so there can be no Torpedo boobs.

Using the HDT body by blabbas causes all sorts of oddities for me anyway, and I am aware it is outdated.

It's based off of this mod but with the breasts setup to work with Groovtama's Alpha skeleton." (Alpha = prerelease 2.0) Why do you install a body in the current time that is incompatible with the only skeleton that has HDT comaptibility, that has a message that says that it is incompatible, and complain about issues with it? And: "XPMSE because it causes female characters to have torpedo like breasts", and "because it causes", "it" is "XPMSE", means you say XPMSE is the cause of the problem, it is not XPMSE it is YOU installating incompatible body mods from 2013, with a big fat red warning, you simply ignored.
Les Enfants Terribles Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Lol dude. I specifically stated that I am aware it works for other people and not for me to clear any misunderstandings. You are the one who took me for a fool and assumed that I still think that the issue is because of your mod. Do you see me blaming your mod and saying bad things about it? Also I am not using the HDT body by blabbas. I never said I did. I did try it because at first I wasn't aware that it was outdated. When I used it, it caused many problems anyway, so I just removed it and then later on realized that it was outdated. You can calm down with your defensive stance, I am not attacking you or anything =P
dTd Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 It's all symantics, instead of saying "It cause torpedo boobs" you should have said something like "something in my install is incompatible with xpmse so I don't choose to use it". This way no one gets butthurt
fore Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Do you see me blaming your mod and saying bad things about it? I do. Or what is this? PS I don't want to use XPMSE because it causes female characters to have torpedo like breasts... You wrote it in your very first post, and you stubbornly refuse to remove it. I can fully understand Groovtama being pissed. From own experience I know how easily such thoughtless statements get picked up by noobs.

This way no one gets butthurt I can see why Groovtama would be pissed off, this is the millionth time someone complains about his mod when in fact, it is an installation problem. This has nothing to do with being "butthurt", more than a legitimate reason to be frustrated over a repeated annoyance.

But he's NOT complaining about it, just stating that on his machine, with his installed mods, he can't use it. No where does he say it's the fault of xpmse. Lighten up people, I could understand if this was a complaint or a plea for help in the xpmse thread. I understood his intent immediately, probably because I'm not searching for every mention of a particular mod and then jumping all over the poster after trying my darndest to find something offensive.

While they are kind enough to say "for me", it's still rather irritating. I mean really. How can you NOT follow SIMPLE directions (like an install order)? smh. I feel for you, Groov. <3 I, for one, appreciate what you and fore do. You two are awesome.
Les Enfants Terribles Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Lol guys. I really don't understand the need to blow this out of proportion. I just simply asked a question about weapon positions and look where it all deviated. Not my fault if the mod author has thin skin and perceives everything as an insult. Though it is understandable, seeing as he probably encountered many users who bashed his mod before, and upon reading my statement he probably assumed accordingly. I personally love and respect his work, and I use it on my other setup. I have nothing against it. I also clarified in my later post that I am aware that it works for many others, just not me on this particular setup. So obviously that means the problem's on my end and I never stubbornly claimed otherwise. I don't see why it is necessary to gang up on me, as I never insulted the mod in the first place. It was just all a big misunderstanding. And with all due respect Fore did you even bother reading further or are you just taking sides? You could've seen that I clarified what I meant by that. That's when Groovtama accused me of using the old HDT body mod, which I did not. I only tried it, then removed it shortly after. Now I use the mods of both of you guys and I love them, and I am not angrily bashing XPMSE here. It's astounding how much this has deviated from the main question I asked in the first place. I never thought this would turn into something like this lol. If you all just let your guards down, read the previous posts and actually realize that I wasn't consistently blaming his mod after all, we would all find a middle ground on the fact that it was all a miscommunication issue.
GlaringThroughOblivion Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 You guys are blowing this way out of proportion... Les made a mistake, one simple mistake, and the three of you decided to gang up on him like that's the perfectly sane thing to do. I understand why you're upset, don't misunderstand me, but what you're doing is petty and, frankly, sallows my (former) opinion about all of you. I can't be the only one who sees it this way, right? Like I said, I do understand why you're upset. I do. But this is just plain cringe-worthy...
ousnius Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Just to chime in. please use the similar HDT enabled body contained in CT77's Nexus armour downloads. ^ don't use the CT77 Body anymore, the "CBBE Body HDT" that comes with BodySlide is the most recent one. If he ever updates his mod, he already stated the CT77 Body will be removed as it's of no use now. And yes, repeated beginner issues drive modders crazy. Even if it may not be their fault.

With XPMSE you can select in RaceMenu, I know that, and that was not the issue. I have the feeling that none of you are actually reading and understanding what I've been trying to say lol. Frankly it isn't worth it... and sorry cell.. I see now

It was HDT Weapon slings, causing my weapon to switch places.
Anatriax Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Yeah, those HDT weapon mods don't exactly have the highest compatibility, and require a bit of knowledge about modding in order to get them to work properly with other mods. Which is kinda why in 90% of the videos you see a (basically) vanilla game advertising the mod. IF they wanted real advertisement for their mod, they should make sure that it has a high compatibility rate with other mods that use meshes and skeletons.
D_ManXX2 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Hi.. I downloaded XPMS and not the Extended version since I wanted all characters to have swords on back. However I just can't get it working. EDIT: One interesting thing to note is that when I open up my inventory, I can see the sword switch to my back as intended, but as soon as I close the inventory, it defaults to the hip. I think the real reason was not this topic but this combined with your other one: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/49366-torpedo-boobs/?do=findComment&comment=1237108 plus the fact that you replied like this: PS I don't want to use XPMSE because it causes female characters to have torpedo like breasts.. The real problem is not the mod but a user failing to read first then try to install a mod properly. Maybe lesson learned.

Doesn't really matter anymore. I stated my intention countless times. If you are really that interested you can go back and read everything. Though as I said, it's not worth it.
