Untamed Vs Beastess

Which one do you prefer ?

From my expirence with both so far, I like them nearly equally. However the build a pack function with untamed at low level, along with the magic and physical resists make naked play much easier for going full tilt agressive. During my untamed test run I had a pack of 3 saber cats (and another in the oven.) that made most random enounters a breeze. Beastess however I like because it isn't instant gratification... It feels more like a twisted pokemon game hunting down beasties for new powers to add to the arsenal.

 

It really depends on playstyle, i'm sticking with Beastess since i'm typically a ranged player, and eventually the power set will be a swiss army knife setup with an ability for many situations. If I was more agressive in combat, Id'e lead my pack head on into combat with abandon. Thats my 2 cents on that subject.

I prefer Untamed, it is highly customizable so you can adjust the power of your creature companions alowing yo to play even with a wolf (which is generally the weakest creature in game) which made my wild werewolf play a lot better, and becouse i find Beastess powers simply op.

I may also be biased becouse i had a lot of issues with  the beastess, ctd during troll quest and i still remember how pissed of i was when i took the Deathhound quest only to find that the npc is in a unreachable place (even with collision off) those may be fixed now i dont know.

Untamed also got a feature allowing you to make nearly any creature youre companion, not just beasts but also skeletons, dragur, i am yet to try it on Apocrypa Seekers.

Used Beastess once long time back, never really liked it.  Too many creatures I'd rather not get screwed by, plus the bugs as mentioned above.  I like Untamed, but there a 3 features I wish it would add/change:

 

1)  Ability to turn off the penalty for human sex.  (one question - does being raped by a human count towards the penalty?)  If you get married, you can never have sex with your spouse without a penalty?

2)  Ability to have animal follower to satisfy themselves with someone else (OK, order animal to rape someone )

3)  Ability to have human followers to satisfy your animal followers (OK, order humans to "take it like a ... human" from an animal  )

 

I know that matchmaker can do the last 2, but a more "immersive" (I really hate that overused word, but it is appropriate) way would be nicer.  Probably will post this in Untamed as well.

I used to absolutely love Beastess but swapped over the moment Untamed was released to a good standard. Beastess is great but the mod was far too messy compared to Untamed. The installation method was a bit haphazard due to the mish-mash of mods involved, the buffs you got from sleeping with animals were a tad too strong and the quest to obtain new animals routinely bugged for me.

 

Untamed is a bit more friendly in gameplay terms although if I could change something in the mod then it would be the shout as it would be nice if it could be directed rather then a large catch-all AOE.

Untamed is a different and new approach, whilst Bestess is working with the well known and established game mechanics. The results may be comparable (sex with animals, who might have guessed), but I find that Untamed goes that way on a bolder (UI extension - great idea) and more creative way, therefore I'd call it better.

 

Meaning that creativity is always the highest quality one can try to achieve.

Plus your char would get OP, if you don't tweak it down. Beastess has a nice quest line, Untamed is "raw game mechanics", so to say. It's both about animal action, but try both and you'll find that it is easy for you to choose between them.
