I am currently chasing a very difficult CTD bug--difficult because I haven't been able to isolate it at all. But Aroused and Creature Framework are two possible sources.
worksa7 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I was using Aroused Redux 21, but I uninstalled it, now I am running the game on a clean save without anything else and except the requirements and I still crashed. I was getting super massive script lag with aroused, uninstalling it fixed that problem but I still had a CTD, it may have been another mod though, too early to say. I will try and play some more today and get some logs to see if I can figure it out.
Bad Dog Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 Just found out that Attraction (I think it is) has a cloak frequency of 10 seconds, which is totally ridiculous and DEFINITELY caused problems when there were people around. Try taking out Aroused, Attraction, Approach, cleaning your save, and running without them for a while. I'm trying that now myself.

Ugh; sexlab aroused has been a pain for me during this lol, everything else hasn't given me trouble really. edit2: After getting that issue fixed I was finally able to test for CTD errors directly on this mod only- the only thing I had was a black screen freeze on fast traveling to whiterun, which could have been any mod really, but I played for hours without another incident.

It's not male vs female that's the issue but I wonder if the player is ever considered a valid choice. Could be not, I might have messed that up. Riverwood is weird. Lots of the NPC's there are not considered valid targets and I don't know why. You get Embry and Olga and I think that's it. Having the same issue, even allow player, allow male and no collar required, i was standing with 3 females and NONE of the creatures would choose ANYONE just got fustrated note

The load order seems to be fine, I don't have any mods modifying race, I tried cleaning all mods HC is dependent on, still nothing. The only explanation I can think of is that I use SL v. 1.60, but HC requirement is v. 1.59, could this be causing the conflict?

LukeDuke Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 ^ SexLab v1.60 hf2 is not ''buggy'', it's just that many mods has not been really updated to support it, to be honest for me v1.60hf2 is very stable and with better performance than v1.59c, but I only use mods that are still being supported and not like 6 months old or even older...

Yes, they're all up to date (probably the first thing I checked, I even re-downloaded some mods to make sure). Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention as well as I should have when I updated SL and v.1.59 is no longer supported nor available for download. Besides, I updated all SL add-ons along with it, so It'd probably screw with more things that it'd fix, even if I did find a v.1.59 somewhere. Oh, and I don't find v. 1.60 buggy at all - just the apparent inconvenience that some mods aren't updated to support it yet.

For the past few weeks I've been fighting a random CTD that I haven't been able to isolate. Symptoms are that the game runs fine for a few game days, then I start to get random CTDs that get more and more frequent until the game is unplayable. They always occur outside especially in the Rift and Falkreath hold, and there's never anything clear in the log except that the last few entries often look like yours--one or another of the CF errors. But not always and those errors don't usually cause a CTD. I removed the Aroused stack and thought that solved it, then it came back. I lowered my system settings from Ultra to High, thinking I was pushing the game engine too hard, and thought that solved it, then it came back. This is without either version of HC loaded, btw.

Also what skeleton do you have installed, I had some crashes with Race Menu 3.4+ and XPMSE 3.0+ so I reverted to Race Menu 3.2.2 and XPMSE 2.82 and boom no more CTD's.. Also I'm using ENBoost with SKSE memory patch. You can also try NVAC which works with Skyrim too.

Yeah I removed Aroused and such, and it was Indoors actually, in an ice cave setting. It was in the Rift and Falkreath area though! I didn't even make it a few days though, within like...an hour lol.

I am on their newest versions. I didn't have any CTD when I was playing with them but without any adult mods though. The only adult mods I have atm are this and all it's requirements and their requirements.

It gets rid of an assign-to-none error, tries to make sure CF gets loaded even if the first attempt fails, and adds a bunch of debug trace lines. I haven't had a crash with it, which means not much. Let me know if it makes a difference. CF fixes.7z

I disabled the debug log and now that it isn'tspamming, I can see it's issues with something else. Gonan try and fix.... Okay getting CTD now, and here is something. This is on an entirely new build modded version of skyrim, sexlab aroused has NEVER EVER even touched this copy, these are brand new games in every way except these mods, XPSE skeleton, SoS, CBBE and some texture mods. Bad Dog Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 No, I think that error is okay. CF checks for Aroused by calling GetFormFromFile with the Aroused esp file and one of the Aroused forms. If Aroused isn't there, you get one of those errors but it's just the call saying the form isn't there--which is what you were trying to find out by making the call. I was all happy and shit because my game was running pretty cleanly. Ran all over the Rift, started Dawnguard, got Serena, and bang started getting fast CTDs in the last chamber. Maybe it's when there are a lot of dead creatures around, but I can't prove that and I can't prove it's CF at all, either. I instrumented the hell out of the code and I can see it leave the various CF functions cleanly.
worksa7 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 After a fresh install set up, with only this stack and it's requirements, in the right order too.... I am having a problem where dump spells doesn't work and I can't interact with any creatures. Edit: I fixed that. I am trying with sexlab 1.60 this time, and basically I have the whole stack before this working fairly well and stable this time, it's running very nicely. I installed Immersive creatures and Sexlab Aroused Redux, MNC (Mega site's version), got the latest creature framework because the one in MNC is not up to date, and then BDIC, all that works fine on 1.60 for me but the moment I try with creatures expanded the summons all lose their ability to find a valid target. No "API not found errors" and I haven't had a single CTD yet without it though (fingers crossed my previous issues might have been -mostly- another mod), so I might just keep it like this for now. BDIC is awesome and lets me trigger those animations anyways, just can't summon them I suppose. Sorry I couldn't be of any real help.
