All mods tagged as dirty by LOOT are cleaned. Using NMM, no matter which LAL start i pick it crashes almost instantly after its finished loading the new location.(not changing any mod settings in MCM) Autosaving is off, only starts that "work" is interior ones(necromancer, vampire, warlock's thrall), but if i try to leave this interior it crashes. Tried starting with barebones loadorder, with only unofficial patches and LAL everything seems to work. Not 100% sure. Tried starting with only sexlab mods enabled, everything seems to work, but if i try to "interact" with anyone - it crashes.(attacking ghosts in "escape this cell" start for example, or trying to pickpocket them) Skse and Papyrus logs attached. skse.log Papyrus.0.log
Arken Red Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Not sure if it'll help, but did you recently remove any mods from your playthrough, sometimes scripts get left behind
General Goods Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Fresh installation, zero stability even on new game.
Storms of Superior Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Try reinstalling the SOS mod; use the SOS Racemenuplugin.esp that can be found in the SOS fomod installer instead of the the racemenuplugin.esp. I also didn't see a skeleton mod in your load order. If you don't have one, use XPMSE from Groovtama. The latest version is pretty nice.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 MO. This is the best mod manager because you'll never have to deal with installing scripts to your data folder. So when it comes to uninstalling some mods via Mod Organizer, you'll never have to worry about leaving scripts in there. Plus MO does this very same thing. Helps maintain stability since no loose files or even BSA are having a pillow fight in your data folder. Only in the mod list of MO. Mod Organizer is your revolutionary problem solver. Anyone that says no, I'm going to poke them in the eye with my wabbajack.
General Goods Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Reinstalled SOS, replaced racemenuplugin with SOSRacemenu and removed FloatingHealthBars SKSE plugin, looks good so far. Looks like my problem was with this HP bars mod, with it game crashes the moment combat initiates, without it all is good.
TheUsefullPotion Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Quick note. everyone with that amount of mods will have stability issues. you cannot download that amount of mods and expect a perfectly running skyrim. ive seen worse cases but that is still pushing your luck
yatol Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Quick note. everyone with that amount of mods will have stability issues. you cannot download that amount of mods and expect a perfectly running skyrim. ive seen worse cases but that is still pushing your luck number of mods mean nothing, i have about 400-500 esp (don't really know) merge down to 43 esp, game is very stable a huge number have 0 impact (better quest objective, light on spells, slower leveling...) some reduce the fps but they aren't a problem either (snowshader, tamriel reload, verdant...), unless you go too far (ram ctd) having npc 85 after npc protected, without a patch, those npc are no longer protected you may see strange things depending on load order (npc protected after npc 85, game won't be able to load npc 85 nif, and will generate a head with the npc slider) those are minor conflicts, you may see strange things in game, but that can't lead to a ctd major conflicts that's a ctd mods like enchanced blood, wet&cold, civil war overhaul use scripts (urban legend about script size is stupid) i go to breezhome alchemy table i left the table, ingredients from stachel are send back to satchel i open the stachel and auto store ingredient before table is done -> stack dump with a 2ko script you may lose some ingredients or find 5000 in the satchel instead of 50, that's all this can break thing, all those civil war problems that's stack dump, with requiem you can end up with negative weapon damage or this can be a future ctd (something load those wrong values, and it break) that will be impossible to fix (finding the problem when it's an old stack dump... complicated)
vram1974 Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 i have about 400-500 esp (don't really know) merge down to 43 esp, game is very stable Wut
TheUsefullPotion Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 dude what you just typed is what i said but explaned. i belive i said you cannot have that many mods and expect a perfectly running skyrim. this is in no way saying that if you install X amount of mods your skyrim will CDT. skyrim will CDT of the foloweing issues: mod conflicts. (like if you install 2 whiterun overhauls it will CDT) Overloading papyrus (the script engine skyrim uses. if pushed a bit it may cause the example with the stachel. but if overloaded with scripts it will CDT and then you have to reinstall skyrim) Pushing Your GPU too far (like if its at 97%+ most of the time you will CDT on a single laggspike.) Pushing Your CPU too far (same as with GPU but it will most likeley CDT when skyrim tries to run another script. depends) Going over the 3,1 RAM limmit (bad engine. bethesda to lazy to patch) incorrect loadorder may crash the game sometimes. sometimes it just causes instablitity wich obvioously will eventually lead to CDT Overloading the first block of RAM skyrim uses (256 MB limmit.) if made larger will almost make it impossible to overload. thing is skyrim has 2 blocks but when it tries to load the second block skyrim usually CDT:s. devs could have fixed this. we do not have acces to the core files they way they do) not installing a master for a mod (if mod X needs mod Y to function. not installing mod Y will CDT) please do correct me if i missed something but i think we get the point by now yes? also after modding this game for nearly 1,5 years i do belive i know what will and will not crash skyrim. however modst beginners acctually do think that installing X amount of mods will crash the game. and i understand why they think so. thank you for your time... but if you had happned to understand the post better this would not have been neccesary. Edit: i just re-read your post. every mod has some sort of impact. it may not be noticed but it will stack... also i dont see how merging the mods will make any diffrence other then that skyrim main menu and loading screens will load faster.
