DaXmAn Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Ladies and Gentlemen, Girls and Boys, I had some time and was crazy enough to create small web application (portal) to store and share Skyrim character presets (yes, only for presets, at least for now!) This website is kind of a warehouse. A warehouse where you can store and share presets for characters created in Skyrim video game. You might ask: "What for?! We have so many other places, like forums, where we can do similar uploads!". The thing is... all of those places do not provide nice and clean functionality to sort things out. And that's why this website was created. A Preset is a collection of information about ingame character, stored in a file or several files. Those files can be later used by other players to make their hero look like yours. You also may need to provide information about other modifications used (if any), to make a Skyrim character look exactly the same. Unfortunately vanilla game does not provide such functionality by default. To be able to save the preset, you need one of two most popular Skyrim modifications: RaceMenu or Enhanced Character Edit To access SkyPreset Warehouse application simply visit http://skypreset-warehouse.eu/ From there you may browse and search existing presets. If you would like to share your presets or rate existing presets, please register and log in. One of the goals is to have a repository of Skyrim character presets, where users can easily review and search for the preset. Another goal is to create sophisticated methods and search functions. I kindly ask you to let me know if you find any bugs. You can also send me your comments or ideas. Contact email is provided on the main page. Please mind that this is still work in progress. Not all "nice to have" features are available.Current state allows for all standard operations. It means you can start using this application without any problems! DO NOT HESITATE TO DO SO Version 0.09 (current)Added 'Total Of Downloads' field to preserve information about downloads amount even if owner remove attachment and will upload new one Change log: Version 0.08 Redesigned comments section... again I hope now is readable Added required Preset Type Ver. (version or RaceMenu or ECE used to save preset) Minor fixes "here and there" Version 0.07 Redesigned comments section Minor changes in "Modifications" section Version 0.06 Now you can add comments to all presets, even your own Comment owner can edit his comment or delete comment Preset owner can delete all comments from his preset Version 0.05 Added loading dialogs while adding new, editing and deleting preset Added column with downloads amount for each preset on preset list Now preset can be added with published status only with attachment Ratings are now displayed to the nearest 0.1 point Version 0.04 Added a new feature: after you add a new preset go to edit page, you will see "thumb" button below each image. If you click this button a window with an image will pop up. From here, you can select square range of currently displayed picture and by this way set a thumbnail which will be visible on main preset list Most of the code behind has been rewrited to make my life easier in the future (change not visible for end user) From now on you go to preset details page by clicking on anywhere on particular preset row Minor layout changes Many bug fixes Version 0.03 Fixed file size check for png images Fixed some server side validations Version 0.02 Added new feature "Preset 1st image browser". You can view 1st image of each preset, jump to desired image number and jumpt to image preset Reworked how images are handled and served via application Minor layout and bug fixes Version 0.01initial version
Kombat Wombat Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 This looks very useful, I hope it gets popular. I'll see if i can add my presets later today
RedMonika Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I like. I recently got back into playing Skyrim and getting into all the modding stuff again. I registered and will share some stuff.
Akzyra Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Cool. Added to my signature Way better than a forum thread.
DaXmAn Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Nicely prepared banner for SkyPreset Warehouse! Thanks!
Smokermegadrive Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 that's a damn excelent idea, since i fail so much in make a good character XDi will take a look and favorite that page
zzz72w3r Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 how do i install the presets? Depending on whether you use ECE or RM. I now only use RM because all the new mods are built around RM and its head nif import function. With RM you load the preset (jslot) or the head nif (.nif) under Preset tab (for jslot) and Sculpt tab (for nif). Look for the tabs on the upper right of your screen. The Preset tab also tells you where to put the files. With preset files you need to have the same mods with the original author to have the same look or it can be WAY off. This is true with ECE or RM. On the other hand nif import will get you very close even without matching mods.
ongwk733 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 This looks like a really cool idea! The more of us share our presets, the more popular the site can get. I will definitely put up some of my presets on there. Is it possible for this thread to get stickied or something so it stays on the front page?
Claire Farron Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I love the idea : 3 There are a lot of peoples asking for preset, so this site should become a reference for these gamer who dislike having a pretty face other than their characters. Guess I will share some preset to be able to do its bit.
spike4379 Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Needs a catagory of racemenu version for future reference, helps knowing which presets are useless
Kain82 Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 This is a fantastic idea! Great work! Edit: I'm having trouble registering to your fantastic site. It says my password must contain a digit but I entered an alphanumerical sequence, and it still won't let me register.
ongwk733 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 This is a fantastic idea! Great work! Edit: I'm having trouble registering to your fantastic site. It says my password must contain a digit but I entered an alphanumerical sequence, and it still won't let me register. I think it also has to contain a non-numeric AND non-alphabetic character as well like _ or $. This is the first time I've come across such a detailed password requirement and frankly,it's annoying . The site is awesome though,if a tad bit slow on my desktop.

It says my password must contain a digit but I entered an alphanumerical sequence, and it still won't let me register. Thank you Kain! Were you finally able to register? As our collegue wrote you need to use password which have one upper case letter, one number and one special character, example: Pa$$w0rd (of course please don't use such obvious password ) Needs a catagory of racemenu version for future reference, helps knowing which presets are useless Good point. I will add that. Edit: Added Preset Type Ver. (set as required). I hope I didn't break anything else such "hot" changes may be malicious :> I think it also has to contain a non-numeric AND non-alphabetic character as well like _ or $. This is the first time I've come across such a detailed password requirement and frankly,it's annoying . The site is awesome though,if a tad bit slow on my desktop. Well... maybe it's my perversion to use such secure passwords... and until this site is not working over https those paswords are... I don't have to finish this sentence, don't I? I am aware of it... hopefully I will be able to switch to https soon. Edit: But wait... N...x...s login page is also not working over https... and nobody cares? Geez...

heavytop Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Very nice, I think this is what we need definitely if people hop on board. Only thing I can think of is expand to also include Bodyslide presets? As far as I'm aware, ECE/Racemenu presets only affect the head. I definitely think this needs more exposure. Maybe repost this in the adult mods section if you expand it to include Bodyslide presets?
DaXmAn Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 Thank, you. Bodyslide preset is something different, but you can always include these in attachments for now. I could also make a separate list for body presets. Simply because I would like not to mix faces with bodies.
