Best UNPB Body & Skins?

I'm sure this topic has been beat to death in various threads.  I also realize it's going to be a matter of personal opinion to a degree.

I've been using the Sevenbase Bombshell body for a while though and have decided I like the looks of the UNPB body a bit better.  Last aborted play through I was using the UMPB redux body from the Nexus and the SG Skin 2K Textures.  I noticed neck, wrist and ankle seams wide enough to fly an Imperial class Star Destroyer through however.  >_<

With that in mind, I'm exploring other options and entertaining suggestions.   The two main things I'm looking for are no horrific seams and the one thing those SG textures had going for them; built in pubic hair that matched the character's hair.   Everything else is a bonus :D

The best UNPB base is the Redux post: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37900/?

Then you have a choice of various skins... I really like the Fair Skin Complexion mentioned above: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51602/?

Also good are Adorable Face: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61178/?

and the neck seam fix for Adorable Face: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64983/?

Adorable face supports the normal skin as well as the fair skin complexion.

There is no best and the fact you're asking without say, consulting a rather obvious index of graphical images that could tell you exactly what you need to know is making kinda a non-topic to begin with.

1. Seams have three causes, improper body flags, mismatched normals and diffuse and broken meshes, all three mean different things and have different solutions.

2. How the skin will look after ENB is liberally slathered all over it changes quite a bit, especially if the ENB is actually designed simply for lighting and OMG SO SO MUCH CRUSHED CONTRAST AND FADED BLUE ALL OVER EVERYTHING SO REALISTIC (if you're colorblind and into sepia toned movies) and ignores skin tonal quality entirely. (like NLA or Bleak or Serenity for example)

Superstar/Pretty UNP: Has matched sets, a black (aka flat sub map), built in top down shading and built in make up if you're into AI MY WAIFU UGUU KAWAII, if you like pointy ears and something akin to hearing a dog chew a squeak toy while you're having sex, this is probably your skin.

Mature:  Has extremely detailed matched sets, built in shading, a flattened sub map and extremely high distance-to-detail quality. It's also ACTUALLY lore friendly and not nexus "lore friendly" which means OMG YOU CRITICIZED MY MOD IMMA CALL DANTE AND BAN YOU) so if you want your character to look genuinely in country, you're pretty much done after this one.

SG: Like Superstar but pixelated as all hell on anything but a 6 or 8 bit TN panel. Any monitor and card that has 8+2 or 10 bit color will want to avoid this skin unless you plan on using a completely desaturated ENB/IM or you want to role play someone with terminal skin cancer. Why Japanese and Chinese players go apeshit over this skin I'll never know; I realize laptops don't usually have the best screen quality and are incredibly prevalent, but still this skin's popularity versus its quality is baffling.

Real: Best pixelation avoidance in the biz, hands down. Unlike any other skin, this one drills down to pixel-to-pixel closeness with no granularity. Unfortunately this level of quality was completely pants-on-head destroyed by Zonzai then compressing the normal maps, which puts giant squares all over everything. The skin is also very heavily pretinted, so much so that it overrides any race tint with either a tan or orange cast, even dunmer and redguard. A very high quality choice, provided you can find good normals that aren't checkered all to fuck for it. Also doesn't come with tint support or any sub or specs. Pre-shadowed and highlighted, much like most skins.

Thepal/4K: also super tinted like real but in different hues and with a tonal gradient much MUCH closer to vanilla. If you're a lore nazi you're pretty much done here, you've found what you need, stick navetsea normals on it and call ti a day.

UN7B: A cross between superstar/pretty and Mature, super flattened tonal quality that looks "real" in studio matte maps and kind of oddly plastic in any ENB that doesn't have flattened gamma or contrast crushing (so basically perfect for for "everything is gray, dithered and blue" ENBs like NLA) Also comes preshadowed, so mileage will definitely vary under dynamically lit ENBs like K or Milipon or RealVision

SRG: Seren4xx's fork of real is a balance between Real and Fair Skin, with more tone flattening than the former and more definition than the latter. His normals also don't suck and they match the diffuse pretty much 1:1.

FS: The "next gen" skin that is basically a giant tone map with veins in it. FS relies almost entirely on a lighting model to achieve ANY tonal balance, and with colorful ENB's with correctly modeled subdermal support that's a good thing, and with atonal ENB or vanilla/ICEBINE lighting, basically your character will look like they're a zombie, even if they're a redguard. Like Real, this one can go the distance up close and personal, but it also lacks any definition that would remotely resemble actual human skin without 15 pounds of foundation and spackling on it. Babies aren't born with skin this smooth, and the face especially immediately screams uncanny valley/CG/Vidya gayme character. That said, the normals are insanely balanced, and the subdermal and spec maps are pretty much the best out there in terms of build quality. (which makes the utter flatness of the diffuse kind of puzzling actually)

Adorable face: Loli elderly elf skin, even more sexbot stepford wife than FS, if that was possible

HV/E: A balanced mix between mature and FSC, eiries and honeyvanity's skins (Milk, Barbarian, Creamy, MegaMilk, Porcelain)  don't pass muster under super closeups like real or FS, but at any other distance they're remarkably well balanced for almost any lighting condition or race. Essentially the "Ryu" 120px-Ryu_Hadouken_sprite.png?t=20111211  of skyrim skins, they come in four tonal flavors to fit pretty much virtually any occasion. Normals will have to be dug up however for the new batch, and no subs or specs are to be found.

Well, I appreciate all the feedback here.  It'll let me cut my hunting time way down in choosing new mods here.  :)

As 27X said (and I'd also mentioned in my original post), alot of this is subjective.  I'd rather get opinions form people who use the mods then trust pics that aren't always accurate though, esp with various lighting mods & enbs coming into play.  Fair Skin in particular I'm going to have to take a major look at though with just about everybody recommending it,

27X, that was alot of good info too.  Thanks again.

I can only speak for the screenarchery part, so there are 2 choices that set the bar: Fair Skin Complexion and Mature Skin V2 beta. (Sorry but Real Girls is still alpha and only has diffuse maps, of which the body texture isn't very convincing outside the nipples and pores&bodyhair).

Actually i wanted to write a longer essay on this, but let's just say if you check out Mature Skin V2 beta, try the version "beta5" which might look better than the most recent one.

Also these 2 textures couldn't be more different, because Mature Skin only works with characters supposed to look around 40-50+ years of age while Fair Skin Complexion is more about flawless teen bodies.

And with the increasing details (Mature @8K...) i doubt that there will still be textures that fit an ~18 year old character equally good as a 40 year old.

Maybe we need a mod that also adds a body complexion map along with the facial age complexion slider.

edit: Oh and i just checked out the SRG textures that 27xx mentioned.

First things i look at are the breasts and the genital area - now the breasts also have this impossible wrinkle on the bottom, and there is absolutely no anus.

I suppose i could just use D-Cup bodies and ignore the breast wrinkles, but no anus??? Reminds me of that movie with the alien clones who have no belly button ;)

Well that's how FSC looks with good ENB settings:

And don't get me wrong, i also love the screen art that others have been doing with Real-Girls-based textures, but none of them look realistic. More like pencil drawings with the huge amount of shadows and details, even more unnatural with "oily" effects on top.

It's all about artistic choices and taste, but if you looked at the screenshot above and still say that FSC is unrealistic and doesn't have any details, i'm afraid i have to say that you have no clue what you're talking about ;)

I personally use one of Faeofthewood's skin textures. It's pretty nice though I'll be honest and say I usually never play as a human race. Beast races for life.

Well I'm going to call you on that. The last time I had skin that flawless I thought pureed carrot was the height in sophisticated dining and was still merrily pooping in a diaper. Sure, it's a nice texture, much more of a finished article than Real Girls is. But realistic? Not for 99% of (mortal) woman kind it isn't.
