BORDERLANDS 2

Anybody looking forward to Borderlands 2? I played #1 with my friends and absolutely enjoyed the game. My favorite character was Lilith due to her high mobility. The new ninja character has caught my attention!

MY BODY IS READY.

But seriously, I'm looking forward to this game. I haven't played many shooters, but Borderlands always "felt" the best in terms of the gun mechanics. (And I also preferred Lilith -- Hyperion SMGs are pure pwnage.)

I too am looking forward to this. I was extremely cautious at first on purchasing it as it just looked so cartooney to me, but IMHO it just works so damn well. It was a shooter with a story that didn't take itself too serious. F'ing perfect combo in my book!

Same. It supposed to be more fun that first one. God how someone could possibly finish that game, I was playing co-op with friends but we got utterly bored after few games. Don't get me wrong we had blast playing it, but we got bored somewhere in middle of it.

I never did the co-op but rather played just single player. It came out at a time that I had a low work load so I had time to kill. It was much harder doing it alone and that kept me focused I think.

I would have liked to try the co-op but my buddies were all buried up to their eyes in work.

The first one was a great game. Original and very enjoying to play. Sure there were a few flaws but what was important is that the game as a whole was greater than the sum of its parts.

Looking forward to this a lot. Let's hope it isn't a major let down like a lot of other games lately.

Ah dang thats tough! The game really is LOADS of more fun in co-op. Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy #2 with a couple of pals (us too maybe?)

I wouldn't mind giving it a run but I am a grumpy old time single player nut. The last games I had any fun with multi-player were:

Delta Force 1 & 2

Command and Conquer red alert

Yea, it dates me I know :)

My issue is multi-player has lost any real strategy or thinking and been diluted down to reaction time and button mashing. I like to take my time and not be rushed or hurried. Sadly their are few options for that today.

looks good' date=' can't wait to try it out, i remember the first game, modding guns-created a shotgun sniper, single shot clip, x11 bullets, 98.9% accuracy rating xD

Yeah after I completed the game I had great fun creating pwndizzling weapons. Improvements to the weapons system in Borderlands 2 can only make the game even better.

The co-op mode was a great idea but it was a bit flawed and open to abuse so if they address that as well it can only be another good thing. Hopefully they won't neglect the single player aspect though.

September seems such a long way off :(

[u']Key Features[/u]

All-New Characters and All-New Classes: Four all new playable classes including the Siren, the Commando, the Gunzerker and the Assassin. Step into the role of the Gunzerker, whose highly deadly skills allow him to dual-wield any two weapons found in the game. Not only that, you will build on that skill to do more things with two guns than you ever imagined possible. Dual machine guns? Cool. Dual rocket launchers? Of course! Dual Sniper Rifles? Sure, if that’s your thing! Want to try other styles? More tactical perhaps? There are multiple classes to choose from!

Dynamic Co-op online, and LAN: Share your adventures with friends both online and via LAN. Borderlands 2 features a seamless system enabling you to drop in and drop out of a campaign without ever having to restart the game. On top of that you can even take your new gear from any game to any other!

World Connected Story: Find yourself left for dead in the frozen tundra of Pandora as you begin your quest of revenge and redemption. Expose the evil surrounding the Hyperion Corporation and take on the perpetrator of a universe-wide grand deception -- the nefarious Hyperion CEO, Handsome Jack. (Oh, also: he's stolen credit for the opening of the Vault.)

87 Bazillion...Everything: In addition to the new gun system, you will lust after procedurally generated shields, grenades, Relics, class mods and much, much more. And you thought the original Borderlands had a ton of loot!

Brand new environments on Pandora: Hunt through entirely brand new areas of Pandora that are more alive than ever! From the arctic tundra, through the dangerous grasslands, past the mysterious corrosive caverns to beyond, you’ll be surprised by the unpredictable world of Pandora at every turn!

Brand new enemies: A whole slew of new enemies are out there to kill you in Borderlands 2. Hulking, gorilla-like Bullymongs, vicious predatory Stalkers and the Hyperion mechanical army, run by Handsome Jack, are just some of the new enemies in Borderlands 2.

I hope I can co-op play the game with some of you on its release date and beyond. Much Love and Much Peace.

The first one I played, and few levels I enjoyed, until when I was like at a very high level, the enemies were harder to beat + when you drive to an objective killing people you have to kill them on the way back as well because they respawn.

The killing on the way back made me lose my interest in the game and made it utterly boring.

And lol the only reason I hate these types of games is the unlimited enemy respawn thingie.

Just browsing on the Steam forums today and I saw this link. Thanks to KalROFL for this information.

If you have not pre-ordered the game through Steam and still debating to get it or not, then I hope the link above could convince you to buy the game.

A more discounted Borderlands 2 Steam pre-purchase version is available for purchase at GreenManGaming.com for a 16% discount and please read the the link written above thoroughly by KalROFL for an extra 20% discount coupon code. The code will only last until the 1st of August.

With the 16% discount the game will cost $49.99

With the 16% discount multiplied 20% discount coupon code the game will cost $40.00

[Math: $59.99 * 16% = $49.99 * 20% = $40.00]

Please do remember that the game still requires Steam in order for the game to be played.

Yep I'm waiting one or two months before purchasing BL2. I usually don't pick up games at release date (besides Skyrim) anyways :P.
