Hi everyone!! im looking for a tattoo or something that adds stitches all over the body like the ones in this pic or something fairly close. just stitches all over the body. doesnt have to be a tattoo, can even be a race, anything that can add them. just need the stitches all over the body. i have sadly petitioned (so far unsucessfully) on the more popular forums asking for help but i thought somehting less crowded would be helpful too

I would suggest that you actually ask how to go about this the easiest way and try to learn a bit in the process. I haven't seen one myself.

Yes it is something you might not know.. Likely not. Yes it will be work and be hard, however once done (understood) you can have the stitches just the way you want.

Okay, so contrary to the absolutely useless response that ritualclarity gave, while I have no idea if such a mod exists, adding them in wouldn't be too difficult if you have Photoshop and the DDS plugin.

First thing you would want to make sure if that you use a custom race with it's own skin texture (which I think is all custom races - not 100% on that though), otherwise, whatever edits you make to the skin texture will also be applied to any NPCs who also use that skin texture.

Opening the race's skin texture up in Photoshop will allow you to paint on the skin, and then you can just save the changes (though I recommend backing up the original version first). Since the mod is primarily for yourself anyway, you could just google "stitch" or "stitches" tattoo (maybe not the first, otherwise you might get a lot of Disney) and then save the ones you want. Remove the white background and transform them and place them as you see fit on the skin texture. For tattoos I typically like to lower their opacity to around 60~80% (your taste may vary) to make it look more...authentic.

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail on how, because knowing the internet, most people just want it handed to them on a silver platter. If you are actually willing to put in the effort to do this yourself, I can easily put together a "Photoshop Skin Edit For Dummies" tutorial to walk you all the way through step by step.

I love how you so rudely dismiss RitualClarity's suggestion, then proceed to say essentially the same thing in a more longwinded fashion. Stay classy, MrFlyte.

Since you know how to do it, stop wasting time poking at RC's suggestions and make it for kowaretatenshi.

I'm looking forward to how you're doing to do Skyrim skin MSNs in Photoshop since that's not how they're made.  They have to be baked from the meshes themselves (in this case a mesh with modeled stitches on it AND for a specific body mod for the UVs to match), but I guess you already knew that since you were so fast on the draw attacking someone else's post.

You might consider doing them as overlays for RaceMenu.  That would remove the need for a custom race with its own texture sets.  I have no idea what kind of depth and height contrast you would get without using a normal map on an actual mesh, but that is bound to be easier than mastering 3dMax or Blender for the sake a stitches and scars.

I would Google RaceMenu Overlays and see what comes up.  If anything that would give you the names of modders already doing RM overlay work.  IDK, just an idea.  Hope I don't get my head torn off for posting suggestions like RitualClarity did.

Yea RaceMenu might be the best way. I see additions of tattoos and even freckles using RaceMenu. There is even a discussion thread here on LL on that very thing of creating a overlay for Racemenu

However if you would like something along more goth like with some stitches.. perhaps

In any case it should get you somewhat closer and give you an excellent example of what overlays can do for you if you decide to try to create some for yourself to get the look just right.

Sorry kowaretatenshi that this happened on your thread. :(  It was bound to happen when MrFlyte started his post being rude. I was merely seeing if you were interested in possibly creating some assets to use since what you want is pretty special and not easily found if even exist. Just to clarify the options so that I can try to at least help guide you to somewhere that you can get the assistance you need.

If you can't get any help with the request and cannot work on it yourself perhaps post a request here.

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19121-where-can-i-find-skyrim-adult-requests/

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19129-where-can-i-find-non-adult-skyrim-requests/

Depending on if it is adult or non-adult themed.

Sorry for suggesting other threads to try to get your request but It is a difficult thing to find and likely would require some work by someone to get completed and that is a difficult task to get accomplished..

Good Luck.

That's a good thing, yes?  So there was a little back and forth and maybe a spanking?  So what?  Gotta be better than the 'DO IT URSELF' from the not-as-clever-as their-mommys-told-them-they-were shitheads you get at other forums.  You have some info now and a few leads on ideas to check up on.  Most of the people here are modders/experienced mod users.  You'll get the help you need if you're cool about it when you ask.  :D

Do you want a texture replacer or a racemenu overlay? Overlay would be better for obvious reasons but you mentioned custom race and I know people like that stuff.

It's not every day that someone says. 'Ya know, a mod that does XYZ would be nice.'  And then it shows up two or three days later.    Only on LL.

Actually even on LL that rarely happens. ;). Very rare indeed.
