Varithina
If you are just starting I would go mod organizer, though it does have quite a steep learning curve from what I'm aware. There is a huge thread on setting it up and such here if you have not already seen it.  I use nmm, but I have been using it pretty much since it came out, so I am used to its oddities. Effie
I'd say go for Mod organizer over nexus mod manager any time. Mod organizer will never overwrite another mods file, so when you remove a mod you will never run into problems. Plus mod organizer is really simple to use, but just in case that you can't figure it out, there's a lot of guides and even video guides. Link to comment
TheDude2014
Mod organizer any day over NMM. The only problem i have encountered is that I cant get creation kit to work properly along side it for making followers etc.. So if ur creating mods NMM may be better and if ur just using them then go mod organizer all the way. Link to comment
Karaage Tonkatsu
I'll second that problem with mod organizer and creation kit. However, if you aren't making your own mods, it does make mod management really easy. Personally I've been looking for something which manages the actual files rather than creating a virtual file system, so at the moment I had to revert away from mod organizer until I'm tired of modding again. Youwish1
thanks so much everyone. ill go with MO and i'll watch those vids Yeah watch the videos, watch gamerpoets ones and then head over to gopher as he goes into extreme detail about how things work and also goes over advanced stuff which gamer poet doesn't do. After getting everything setup try and familiarise yourself with its features, tinker around with it a bit so you get a good feel for its capabilities. ini editing should always be done with MO's ini editor and seperate profiles will use seperate ini settings so back up your vanilla ini files. Â Another thing i should mention is about the overwrite folder. Try and keep this as clean as possible. You can drag the files from there into your created profile mods(which was covered in the STEP/gamerpoets guides). So things like DSR patch, bashed patch and so on. So everytime you run the DSR patcher and bashed patch it will place new files in your overwrite folder. Â Sorry if any of this confuses you but it will make a lot of sense later on xD. Â Good luck!. I mean they work perfectly together o.o The new esp ends up in the overwrite folder and from there you just drag it to the mod it belongs to. As well does it still create backups in the skyrim directory o_o Link to comment
foreveraloneguy
I use NNM for most stuff, and wrye bash for manual/non-nmm packages. Link to comment
Leito86
If you're new to modding, you should probably start off with the easiest one to use, Nexus Mod Manager... Link to comment
