UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! SKYRIM KEEPS CRASHING RANDOMLY!

I have tried pretty much everything found on the internet, but despite doing all of that, my game still ends up crashing randomly - mainly when a sex scene starts, I enter another city, etc. It is starting to really irritate me to the point where I just want to throw Skyrim out the window.

My computer's specs are as followed:

Processor: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor, running at 4.0 GHz

Graphics card: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series, with 4.1 GB decidated memory and 4.0 GB total memory

RAM: 8.1 GB (with around 5-6 GB available for Skyrim since I have other stuff open at the same time)

Operating system: Windows 8.1

My SKSE version is 1.7.1 and my FNIS version is 5.2. I have 238 total mods in NMM and 183 active mods.

My Papyrus log is coming shortly. Until then, if anyone has any suggestions that could possibly help me out, I would love to read them!

SSME will fix it, but it seems the more wear your computer has, the more you have to adjust it every different time.

You can get a memory cleaner also to monitor and clean background task which helps.

Plus, if you know what you're actually doing. The cleaner gives you computer usage stats, and you'll be able to make a quick adjust everytime.

2 Papyrus logs added; sorry for the jumbled up text - that's just how it came unfortunately. :/

Also, I am using SSME and some other patch from the ENBDev website.

EDIT: The Papyrus.rar file has both of the logs in a much more readable format, but requires Notepad++ to open/read.

Uninstall whatever mod you have installed that's adding _SA_VoiceProcessor and _SA_SoundProcessor, just casually glancing at your log with no knowledge of modding should tell you that is very likely the source of your problem. By the name I'm assuming it's probably SexAddicts.esm, which you should have no use for anyway considering you have SexLab installed as well.

I see. Well, okay, thanks for the suggestion. I've uninstalled the mod, and now I'll see if the problem has been resolved (hopefully). I'll keep this thread updated on how it goes.

Further suggestions are still very much appreciated! Thanks!

Sadly, Skyrim still crashes randomly, meaning that the problem goes beyond that one mod. All of my Papyrus logs are attached to this folder.

P.S. Use Notepad++ to read them.

Whenever I encounter repeated CTDs, I have a routine I go through to fix it.  So far, it's worked every time.

1) Run LOOT from within MO (if you're using NMM, why?  It's far easier to isolate and fix these problems with MO as well as avoiding the pain of reinstalling Skyrim in extreme circumstances).  Read the LOOT report, especially if there are warnings or errors.  This can solve a lot of your problems.

2) Run SaveCleaner to check for orphan scripts.  If you find any, use the tool to delete them.

3) Run GenerateFNISForUsers.  I have it on my toolbar inside MO (as with all of these analysis tools.  I never have to exit MO).

4. Run WryeBash.   If you haven't done so, create a Bashed patch.  If you have, right click the Bashed Patch,0.esp and "rebuild patch".  (This is usually only necessary if you've added or removed a mod, but it's one of those 'just to be sure' steps.)

If all of that fails to fix your issue, you probably have some kind of mod incompatibility going on that will require time and patience to isolate and fix.

You must tweak it to your computers stats and current memory usage before using it.

When I last tried using MO, it wouldn't let me use some of my mods, so I decided to go back to NMM. As for the rest of the steps, I perform them all the time. The last one though, the WryeBash one, I hadn't done that before, but now I have; having done that now, it has somewhat helped with the CTD's, but they still happen from time to time unfortunately. My Papyrus logs have a lot of errors, failures, warnings, etc, but I don't know how to solve them. :l

Think I've already done that. :s

when you uinstal mods with scripts better start new game if you dont want crashes

I'll try that. Is there any way to save my current character's preset so I can load it in the new save? As well as somehow import the inventory because there are way too many items for me to respawn. :s

EDIT: Never mind. I'll start a new game and see how it goes before worrying about character presets and inventory items and stuff.

I'll be back soon with an update!

EDIT #2: Yeah, no, I'm still crashing, even on a brand new game.

you can save it in racemenu just hit ~showracemenu hit agen ~ to disable console now i dont know what racemenu you use click on presets and F5 to save and F9 to loade presets

Have you tried ENB and just enable the ENBoost function only to help offset the load of so much. Yeah you have alot of hardware there, but Skyrim was made for x32 standards and it doesn't "see" the potential of your hardware and OS (x64 memory paths, 4GB cards etc.). Also I noted that when reading there is often tweaks you have to implement for 4GB cards because it causes problems for Skyrim.

Thanks, got the presets sorted. Now it's just the CTD's. :P

I am using ENBoost, but unfortunately, while it has been able to decrease the amount of CTD's by some extent, it hasn't stopped them from happening completely.

if you still got crash maybe try uinstal devoius mods and see if help i read the was some issu with devoius

The new game doesn't seem to crash as much, so I'll keep playing on it for now and come back later with an update. Thanks for the help. :)

I've been using Devious mods for some time now without a problem, so this is a somewhat misleading comment.  The *only* time I've had an issue was when I uninstalled a mod that relied on DD assets.  I got over 2,000 orphaned scripts and even after cleaning them up with SaveCleaner I couldn't get the game to stay up.  I eventually started a new game and it's worked fine ever since.  That was my own doing, not an issue with Devious.

When I last tried using MO, it wouldn't let me use some of my mods, so I decided to go back to NMM.

Chompus, I've never had that problem.  NMM is antiquated and doesn't offer anywhere near the functionality of MO - especially when it comes to hunting down mod problems.

What mods wouldn't it let you install? Why?  Were they Steam mods (because MO will still recognize Steam mods, they're just harder to remove/keep updated automatically)?  At this point in my Skyrim career, I think I'd give up a super-duper mod before I'd ever give up MO.  It's that good.

just remember when you unistal mod with scripts game will crash before or later so better just uncheck this mod if you dont want start new game and want use old save

how i said i read they was some issu wit devoius and cuse crashes so if work for you thats good ,i have devoius on my old game instalation and not problems to ,maybe some ppl have mod conflict dont no but thats was sugestion

and problem with MO its that when you try replace some mesh or texture manual its not alweys work i know its better then NMM but i like have all my stuff in my data folder for eazy acces to file and manual edit it

Posted

That's why you use the MO "profiles" feature, another feature that NMM doesn't have.  And if you absolutely, positively must manually edit folders, they're still there under "\Mod Organizer".  I've never faced that problem, myself, and I'm forever uninstalling armor texture mods without any problems.

With MO, there's always a way to roll back without reinstalling Skyrim.

Definitely an FNIS issue, I used to have the same thing. It solved it's self somehow. But a continued game without starting a new one firsts seems as if it will crash at some point.

think its that i dont instal my armor mod or texture for armor what i do its conver some armor then i go to mesh/texture folder and just replace it with my own armor when i did that with MO its dont work you need instal mod then you can go MO folder and try edit filt there not in skyrim data folder and how i said before i like have my all stuff in data folder for eazy acces and i can edit what i want

MO its good tool and how i said before better like NMM but i like work with NMM,if  i will recomente some1 what to use NMM or MO will be MO ,but im how i can said this im old fashion and like do stuff like i did before  :)
