Skyrim CTD Problems!

That's why you use the MO "profiles" feature, another feature that NMM doesn't have.  And if you absolutely, positively must manually edit folders, they're still there under "\Mod Organizer".  I've never faced that problem, myself, and I'm forever uninstalling armor texture mods without any problems.

With MO, there's always a way to roll back without reinstalling Skyrim.

think its that i dont instal my armor mod or texture for armor what i do its conver some armor then i go to mesh/texture folder and just replace it with my own armor when i did that with MO its dont work you need instal mod then you can go MO folder and try edit filt there not in skyrim data folder and how i said before i like have my all stuff in data folder for eazy acces and i can edit what i want

MO its good tool and how i said before better like NMM but i like work with NMM,if  i will recomente some1 what to use NMM or MO will be MO ,but im how i can said this im old fashion and like do stuff like i did before  :)

If that's what works for you, I won't argue.  But my years of programming (and no small amount of CK dabbling) taught me that the #1 most basic rule is to never overwrite source files.  It may be more complicated, but a more logical way to do what you're saying would be to create a new mod based on your textures, or create a merged patch with both rather than lose the chance of being able to revert to the vanilla textures.

I just think it's important when giving advice to others that we try to impart logical methods rather than our own personal preferences.  The many posters here who have helped me so far have all done that, and I appreciate their help.  It's made my Skyrim more stable than I ever thought possible, even when I'm adding and removing mods with every whim.

i can agree when you overwrite scripts that can be hard revers but if i want reload to my vanilla texture o mesh file then just need delete your replacer file texture/nif ans skirim will use skirim .bsa

i give sugestionto to ppl if they have problems  from my own experience from modding skirim ,i have many crash when i start modink skirym but i manage fix most by my self now my skirim just dont want to crash i think its broken

but if my advice can make worst and more problems for other ppl with games i just try ignore Skyrim Technical Support post  :)

thank you and sry for my bad english  :shy:

I'm back with an update on the whole CTD issue! Good news, thanks to your guys' suggestions, the amount of CTD's I get has decreased immensely. I mean, I still get random CTD's every now and then, but it's nothing like what it was before; but when you're running like over 220 active mods, you can't really expect to not get a CTD. So yeah, I just wanted to come back to thank everyone who helped me out. I really appreciate the quick replies and solutions you guys posted.

Thank you!

I hope this will help other players solve their issues as well.

Oh, no, you're not getting off that easy :)

What was the problem?  What did you do to resolve it?  Knowing that may help someone else.

Aw, come on... my favorite type of thread is one that starts with "I'm having a problem with X" and ends with "Never mind, I fixed it" with no details. That way, if you too are having a problem with X, the thread will help immensely by causing you to burst a skull-side blood vessel, thus removing your need... and indeed, ability... to deal with your problem at all!
