New to FNW

So I got Fall Out: New Vegas a while ago during a steam sale but never got around to playing cause at the time I was still busy playing Skyrim.

When I installed the game and tried it out for about 5 minutes after I bought the game I had one major issue that prevented me from playing the game... the character are all ugly as fuck... they look like the grown up equivalent of the vanilla Skyrim children.

 

So is there any mods to improve character appearances, particularly for male characters.

 

Also are there any popular mods that are like must have as in Skyrim? Mods like SKYUI, USKP, etc...

 

Also are there FNV equivelent mods of UNP, Apache Hair, Schlongs of Skyrim, Sexlab Submit or Defeat?

Yes there are mods that improves the characters. But it would have been better if you had posted in the Fallout Section instead.

yes there are many mods in the fallout mods section that replace bodies, textures, then there is all the sexout stuff and the pregnancy stuff, there is even a TBBP like skeleton called something like BnB, just look abit and you will find them

Could you give me the names of some of them?

 

Cause it seems FNV modders seem to have more unique and creative names in their mod pages compared to skyrim on the nexus.

Also, you might want to read this before modding New Vegas, as the game tends to be a little more picky to mod and keep stable compared to Skyrim:

Seems exactly the same as Skyrim too me... I have had heard about the 140 esp limit.

 

If FNV is anything like Skyrim in terms of features then things I am looking for specifically is the equivalent of is:

 

USKP

SKYUI (found the MCM mod, guessing there is no need in FNV since the menu is the PIPBoy thing that has separate pages/modules?)

Racemenu (is there even a need for it in this game)

UFO

Apache Hair (and anything else involved with character creation that looks better than the vanilla characters)

UNP (female body replacer... already found one)

SoS

 

I ll try to think of a few more... cause I have like 200 mods in Skyrim. Some of the mods I have had  for so long that I forget that they're a mod and not part of the actual vanilla game.

MO will work with NV, but with some caveats, especially that you still have to use FOMM (run from within MO) to install certain mods and, in the case of HUD mods, you'll also have to do some tricky editing to get all of them to work.

Try out Fallout Character overhaul - there is very good character improvements, if You want standart male. Much much better than skyrim gorillas. 

 

Actually, Fallout has good tools for creating attractive and unique characters, especially males (because it's facegen absolutely the same as in Oblivion), but You must have basic GECK skills for that, because ingame editor is very poor (GECK one is advanced).

To improve male appearance I use Breezes New Vegas Males which is okay I think.

For females, I use a lot of stuff (Type 3 body, Mojave Delight etc), and yet I've never been able to get a satisfactory result, they still look like a scarecrow with the face of a clown, so I'll leave it that other people. Oh, and no, it's not possible to completely get rid of the neck seam.

 

There are hair packs like ApachiiSkyHair (I use "Mojave Delight Coolhair Replacer" for instance), but similar to Apachii, you won't be able to use them when you wear a hat or helmet.

 

No matter what you do the game won't look as good as Skyrim, so don't expect miracles.

Guys, I'm starting to play it too, but I could not find some sexy clothes/armors replacer, on skyrim I used remodeleds armor, but now the closest I get is with BNB's armor, but I really don't like this body, so here comes my question, is there a skimpy armor replacer for others bodies?

Yeah there are several different body and clothing combinations but not as many as there were for Fallout 3 or Oblivion, still the most clothes are made for the Type 3 body, which goes back to Dimon99's original work, there is also some nice work done by Kendo2 , which may interest you. I have not looked in detail to find "skimpy" armor specifically, I recall when I last looked the selection was not that great, perhaps now it is better. You will probably find a greater selection of this here than anywhere else. Let me know if you need help with finding what you want, if you give me at least some idea of the body you plan to use that will help.

I guess I'll go with type 3 as it seems the greater support base is around this body, do you know if there's a collection or something like this with skimpy armors and clothes? The bnb body has this kind of thing in its main download post, but I really dislike that body, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestions, I ended up using 3M, but with pregnancy and everything I guess I'll go with type3 to gather a larger base, but man, this is a nice set of links for future references too, hats up for you sir (or lady, don't know)!
