Malakar Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Hey everybody, Some battles are very awesome and their stories just have to be told.Thats what this thread is for.I'm gonna start with a battle I had today, which in my opinion was my most awesome battle yet.Today's Friday 13th in real life so you would think bad things happen today but today just an AMAZING thing happened.I was on my way from Riften to Avanchnzel. On my way there I encountered a Dragon on the north side of Treva River, the Dragon wasnt a problem.I crossed Treva River and just between Redwater Den and Avanchnzel on the south side of Treva River is where the epic battle took place.I was on my horse,Serana following on foot and suddenly 2 wolves and a spider attacked me.I was too lazy to dismount so I killed them from the back of my Horse.Suddenly I heard a sound,as if somebody summoned Daedra and suddenly there were Invisible Warriors and Invisible Archers around me.At first I didn't know whats going on till I realised that they were actual enemies.I used my compass to locate and kill them.Just as I thought they're all dead something slammed into the ground behind me.I turned around only to find out that it was an Invisible Dragon. The Dragon spawned the Invisible Warriors and Archers back in and attacked me.I was able to land a few hits on it before it started flying again. As if that wasn't enough at the same time 3 cave bears and a snow cat started attacking me.I killed all of them and chased the Dragon until i was finally able to kill it.In the same moment as I landed the last hit and killed it,something hit me and kicked me away.It was not a shout,as I didn't hear anything but it pushed me away like a Unrelenting Force shout, just stronger. After I found the Dragon (Try to find a almost completely transparent dragon after something sent you flying, disorienting you),absorbed its sould and looted it freakin' Dawnguard attacked me.It felt like the game was throwing tons of enemies at me just for fun and the hell did I have fun.Btw Serana wasn't any real help because I have a mod installed that makes it so that npcs deal almost no dmg to NPCs and Dragons can only kill bandits, animals and so on,that mod is the same one that replaced the dragons (45 new i think). That mod is called Elemental Dragons. Here are some screens of the Dragon:

Malakar Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 My most epic battle? Fighting a Mudcrab, and lost to it. Good times. THATS POSSIBLE?!
Kaz Aanh Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I had a one fight against a Werewolf Alpha male, yeah werewolf on steroids 1.5x times bigger than normal one. Since I play as a werewolf/vampire hunter it was nothing really new. He actually looked really scary , since I travel alone ( not counting my mule-horse ), encountering such monstrous albino werewolf in the dark dungeon with a yellow glowing eyes made me think " oh damn this is gonna be a tough fight". Good thing I have prepared myself and boosted myself with a elixirs before I've entered a dungeon. So I could stand a little longer and be more swift ( because I don't use any kind of HP potions and I don't pause the game to drink potions in mid-fight, its my personal challenge.) Every time I injured him he managed to run and regenerate his health then he was coming back, several times. In the end the hunter has become hunted. Dungeon was also a very big with lots of room and passages ( a little maze ), so my crossbow repeater was kinda useless. I had to switch to my sword and shield. Battle was really hard, blood was spitting everywhere and I was successfully blocking every his attack. But not for long, my shield has broke and I was left only with my trusty sword. I have finally *crit'ed* him but he also managed to critical strike me too so hard I got knocked down to the ground for a few seconds, after a quick recovery I was able to land last hit with my one handed sword through his chest before he recovered first ( with a kill cam ). Too bad he injured me so hard with that last attack that I was bleeding and losing a lot of health, and I bleed out and I died few seconds later. I wasn't using a skimpy armor, it was a full plate (modified) elven armour. But even a tincans are useless against a brute animal strength. A canonical end of my character. At least I've finished my quest.
Rayblue Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Nothing is more chaotic than the final battle in Wyrmstooth: you have an army of Imperial troops, you and your companions throughout the mod's main quest, and the archenemy dragon who just called down a hard shitstorm. As for official... Karstaag's a tough motherfucker. Period.
wulfgear09 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I once was heading to the blades temple to meet good ole whats his face and whose her name in the dragon quest line. At the bridge as usual was an ancient dragon and we began to fight i fell into the water off the bridge....cursing my luck ( frostfall rocks ) i swam out the other side as a different dragon this one frost landed right on the bank as i climbed out .we began a tussle as the first dragon did fly byes over head raining fire upon me (never did get warmer from this ) popped off a heal spell as the frost dragon decided the massive flaming Nordic battle ax smashing his face was bad and flew off. healing up some more i moved back onto the bridge and pulled out the bow as the two dragons circled and shouted their hatred at me . alternating be tween healing and shooting arrows at the dragons I kept losing health ,which i thought was from walking through the ice and flame from the dragons breath. finally the ancient landed on the small island near the center of the bridge i jumped in and laid into his arrow pinioned hide with the axe killing it in several hits as the frost dragon landed on the bridge and began to spew its cold breath . Like the stout nord I am i shrugged off the cold firing arrow after arrow into the dragons face killing it. my life was fairly low as i lost a bit more and a bit more, mana low i popped of a small heal spell and suddenly im in bleed out and then dead. my last sight showed 3 large mudcrabs chewing on my corpse as the world faded to black......
DCLXVI Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Once a non-hostile dragon flew outta the ground with a giant riding him like the silver surfer. After a few seconds the giant fell to his death and the dragon flew towards a fort full of bandits so i followed. Made it near the fort an took cover, the dragon had already killed half the bandits there and took to the sky. That was when the bandits noticed me (guess hiding in plain sight doesn't always work) so i turned and ran, only to find 3 thalmor muttering something about hereticisms. Thank the 9 that dragon was not hostile, he landed on me and ate 2 of the thalmor, the 3rd ran away.(I ran away as well) The dragon was then in the sky again heading toward another near by fort with bandits, I once again followed and watched him destroy the bandits. The thalmor who had run away found his nerve again and chased after me along with a few remaining bandits from the first fort. They weren't to strong so i just let them fire arrows and lightning bolts at me as the dragon fried them alive. After all the bandits and thalmor had been killed the dragon turned on me and ate me in one bite.
TurboCheeks Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 My most epic battle? Fighting a Mudcrab, and lost to it. Good times. Aha! I too fought a mudcrab and died. Good times indeed.
squamousnesss Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 So… I have acquired an arch-nemesis in my travels across Skyrim. You see, I have been following the path of the vampire since the beginning of my journey, and have consumed the blood of 112 victims since then. I have been careful to avoid notice, hunting my victims as they travel the roads alone, or in dark alleyways when night falls. This is necessary because, despite my prowess as a vampire, I am still a mere level ten, easy prey for teams of vampire hunters or the city guard. And don't get me started on dragons (Fire and the undead don't mix very well). Anyways, I had just added 14 kills to my ranks (I now have only 38 more to go before achieving the next level, and gaining more nefarious abilities), and was fleeing the city of Markarth after a climactic battle with the last remaining member of the guard's night shift (A Veteran, courtesy of the Inconsequential NPCs mod). It was time to look for more fertile hunting grounds, and so I set off into the wilds. It was then that I once again ran into Talsgar the Wanderer. Now, our paths have crossed before. While I had done nothing to harm him, he was hostile to me immediately, and attacked. (I know it is most likely a bug, but I like to imagine one of my victims was a close friend of his, and he seeks my death as vengeance). As I stated before, I am only a level ten (killing someone while feeding does not level you up normally), and I barely escaped with my life. This has happened several times. This time was different, however. I was equipped with steel armor and powerful weapons, in addition to new magics and many, many potions. But killing him wasn't my goal, not at all. This worthy adversary had won my respect, and for that I planned to bestow upon him the gift of immortality. All I needed to do was weaken him enough…Our swords flew in the darkness, the ringing of steel loud in the night air. The battle went on and on, but finally he collapsed, weak and crawling on the ground, near death. With a swift movement, I lunged towards him and sank my teeth into his neck, victorious. Talsgar's corpse collapsed upon the ground, and I waited for him to rise up once more, as another of my vampiric host. And he did, oh yes. He rose in mere seconds, his eyes glowing with newfound power. This addition to my collection would surely prove useful. But something was wrong. His eyes glowed, but his face was unlined, unblemished. Why was his sword still out? what-My thoughts were interrupted as he gave a roar of anger, and swung his sword at me. I was badly wounded, and started to back away, confused. Why didn't he obey me? There must be something wrong. It's impossible! Yet there it was, I was being attacked by a vampire of my own creation. My nemesis, now gifted with the same powers as myself. The same unholy strength and speed, the same dark spells and abilities. With a torrent of muttered curses, I once more fled for my unlife, finally making my escape when I turned into a cloud of mist and flew off a nearby cliff, preventing him from pursuing me.So, now the two of us are equally matched; two immortals hunting each other until one is slain or the world ends.I wonder how our next meeting will turn out.
Guest Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 In vanilla for 360 outside Riften I saw a big clash of 5 bears 7 wolves 3 spiders 4 trolls 2 skeevers a dead fox That was pretty epic tbh ✌️
yatol Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 epic battle? i went into a dwemer ruin what happened to these npc? nearly hit him ah, that one is less dangerous cheater falmer (he can two shot me and stay out of vision) centurion and falmers team up against me ????? brynjolf fled sonner or later... there's always a problem in requiem, cextradamage 1.5 = 1, cextradamage 2 =1 -> no extradamage skyrim immersive creature give cextradamage4, 5 or 6 to some creatures, and now i can meet them those aren't put to 1 in requiem (he probably start by removing those perks from the npc, then got a better idea, and forgot he removed some) my char can't be the god he is supposed to be in requiem (armor is nerfed, uniques are nerfed, npc are stronger and are leveling) -> slow time shout can do miracle, but that was the limit, time to nerf those perks

moonis Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 My fighter was around lvl 25-30 then. I was romping through enormous cave complex in Falskaar (Lost Knowledge quest). When I entered Halls of the Dead and walked near pedestal in big room, draugr, including badass Overlord Garieheim surged into room. Overlord had frost breath shout and smaller ones were shooting arrows from every corner. Took several attempts to win the battle. I was alone and had only few healing potions. Mostly I tried running into balcony and tried to kill them one by one. Great mayhem.
NewIdol Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Wandering near Winterhold (near the tomb where the quest for the thieves guild is performed) appeared the old orc who want a dignified death, to be a hunter and let my daggers completely only had my bow so I decided to to confront just with bow as soon as the fight is began I ran a bit to get away and be able to load bow in the back I appeared a bear so I change the direction and apparently my RNG did not want to survive because there were two magicians fighting near each other I decided not to get close until to killing the orc and the bear so I jump over a rock and began to shoot arrows but nowhere a dragon killed the orc and the bear ran for myself safe because my armor is made of leather but the ice mage threw me a stake of ice and the dragon a thu´um of fire I survive with little life so I put my magic healing I figured that would give I time to run but the dragon fell on me and sent me flying. Usually I avoid getting into dangerous situations but on this occasion what normally start ended very badly for me (sadly for me just use the autosave) Q.Q Just in case I should clarify that I do not use potions to nothing and let the weapons almost entirely only took my bow and many arrows in addition to not use magic just healing basic (and illusion to level up).
Guest Comrade DR. MAHUJ DIK Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I was facing harkon with my spellblade and apocalipse spell package. It has a spell called ride the lightning than turns you into one and blow when hit something. I used it just after he stoped talking, sent harkon flying, used the slow time shout hit him some of times with Bloodbane (friery soultrap/health steal, I created it to fight vampires) and finished him with the lighting master spell (the kamehameha one,not a moded one), he didnt had time to react or become the batcloud. It was the most badass fight I ever had in skyrim.
Coopervane Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 The release version of Falskaar, and every single enemy encounter in it. I went to Falskaar as a level 28 or so stealth/mage/archer/thief char, not many points spent on health, not many perks spent on armour, smithing or melee skills, tons of perks spent on stealth, archery, thievery, and magic, and was promptly greeted with an entire island of bandits that were so highly overleveled that every single one of them could kill me with one hit. None of my spells had any effect, quest all had forced companions and encounters that rendered my stealth skills useless, the companions went down after one hit but not before aggro'ing every enemy in the region (so they were all liabillity and zero help), and i had to put a ton of my best arrows into even one enemy before they would finally go down. I'm not really sure how i managed it, but i actually beat that mod despite it all.. I'm pretty sure that what i encountered was a glitch in the release version of the mod that made all enemies 5x levels higher than what they should have been, and combined with the designers not really taking into account that people might roll a stealth-char, it rendered the whole thing almost unplayable. But somehow i got through it by the skin of my teeth (and a billion and one quicksaves and quickloads!).
Guest Vendayn Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I was running from a giant, and I consoled in a boulder (you know that you find in caves, like the one by riverwood). The giant ran into it and died. And then a mammoth ran into it and died And then another giant I wish I could have frapsed it But my PC can barely run skyrim as it is lol
phoenixstorm99 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Fighting Lord of the Shadow order at level 54. Had Dragon Aspect, 3 followers and 9 atronachs with me aswell as a weapon speed up spell. Still bearly won
Vintovka98 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Once, I was going to Siptimus's outpost with 5 followers, and there was a riekling outpost in our way. As soon as I saw the red dots on the compass, I crouched and started shooting arrows, and my followers all started firing at the rieklings with whatever magick/arrows/bolts they had. The rieklings likewise were throwing their spears for all their worth. That area had a lot of tall grass too so when you crouch, you can barely make out the rieklings. Just this exchange of projectiles in the windy long grass and arrows wizzing by makes this feels like a FPS. Hitting a charging rieklings and seeing it bite the dirt was especially satisfying. Before the rieklings were all dead some sabre cats showed up too and startled me. Good times.
