Just curious - when you want to play Kinky World - do you need Into the Future - apparently its needed for the dreaming animations but I have never seen these - is there something I'm missing? I really want to play with the minimum packs required so I'm using:

-University

-Generations (do we need this for Prom?)

-Late Night

-World Adventures

-Into the Future (might remove)

You don't need Into the Future, You might need Pets tho. The first time I downloaded it without Pets, it kept crashing but maybe it was something I had done wrong lol.

Don't need it if you don't want it.

Pets is not required. I've never had it installed.

I have an issue with the high school outfit where the teens hair and accessorises (E.G Glasses) change or don't show up. It was work fine previously but now I don't know why it's not working. Is there a mod that is incompatible with this feature?

I haven't played with school uniforms, so I'm just guessing here.  Off the top of my head, do you have NRaas Dresser or Register?  Try pulling those out and seeing if the problem still happens.

Im having major issues with the update. The previous version never crashed or severly affected the game but ever since the update my game freezes every 20 mins and I have to constantly reset the town or restart the game in general. I dont have much cc or mods. I use the pack cleaner to detect any conflicts and none were detected. I need to know what to do. I love KW so much and its pretty much the only reason I play the sims 3 but I really need to fix this problem. Im also having an issue with CAS where sometimes it wont let me accept changes and i have to reset the game all together. The only mods I use are base mod master controller, and story progression. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Your CAS problems I can relate to. My game will run fine for a while and it will start freezing up, like you mentioned. I reset my town with Master Controller and I start getting script errors left and right and CAS is all whacky. I took everything related to Nraas out of my game and played for like a sim week, then put it back in and everything is fine, but after a while, the lag is back. Good luck.

EDIT: Downside to doing this is if you're using Whoohooer all your sims will lose their kama simtra skill and have to start over when you reinstall it :frown:

If you have master controller, you might try using that to reset every object in town. I had very similar problems to what you are describing when playing Island Paradise on the scuba diving lots. That was not related to KW at all, but was related to all the objects on the dive lots getting "stuck" in weird states.

I now make a regular habit of going to the town hall, then choosing "Master Controller > Town > Reset Everything", about once a sim week. This will cancel every interaction of every sim and every item in town. You won't lose any items, and might lose some moodlets, particularly if they are from an object that is being reset. But, you will get rid of the game lag until stuck objects start accumulating again.

If there is something that you really, really don't want reset, there are options to exclude a particular lot from being reset, or to exclude the currently active lot from being reset. I always just reset everything.

Depending on the size or your town, it can take several minutes to complete, and you don't really see any progress beyond a spinning circle. On my system, which is fairly old, but was a beefy system 9 years ago, it takes about 10 minutes to complete in a fully populated Fleabottom, and about 15 minutes in a town like Isla Paradiso or Bridgeport.

One word of warning about doing the reset everything, is that things that are "adventure" type items, like puzzles and hidden stuff in World Adventures, or treasure chests on dive lots, etc., all get reset back to their "unexplored" state.

Im currently playing in sunset valley, but like you mentioned I use the reset town button way more than once a sim week. Everytime I load the game since I know it typically freezes about 15-20 mins into gameplay I make it a habit to reset the town as soon as it loads. But i still have freezing issues. Also similar to the person above I get script errors for certain sims. So the majority of my game is saving every few mins before it freezes. And multiple tests to check if its freezes at a certain time which has been the case a few times.

I checked my game and I do have the hospital overhaul mod. Do you think that one could be an issue too? From what Ive read the time related freezes have to do with certain events in the town like a birth or a sim getting stuck. But if im resetting every few mins idk how to solve it.

The following applies only if you have the corresponding EPs, but here's what I did:

Disable Zombies, there's a NoZombiesAtFullMoon mod over at MTS.

Use Register to disable stray animals, they tend to get stuck; especially horses, puppies and kittens, the latter have problems with stairs.

Disable the PetAdoptionSystem, there's a mod somewhere in Downloads here on LL.

Use NRaas Traffic to reduce the cabs, set it to -255 or something; set food trucks to 1.

Remove any mod which could conflict due to providing the same functions as KinkyWorld does, eg Hospital Overhaul (yes, had it myself but kicked it).

Remove Showtime venues, they do cause lag.

Disable EA StoryProgression, it causes some serious lag after some time.

Avoid worlds with a gazillion tons of unnecessary stuff, or get the route fixed version on MTS.

Control your weather, no rain or snow, reduce your seasons to two (minimum required) eg spring-summer.

Disable online features you don't need/use anyway.

Use Kuree's Save Cleaner to avoid Save Bloating.

Disable paparazzi in KW menu if you are not playing with celebrities.

Disable all KW features you are not planning to use in your current game.

Avoid worlds with mountains, for some reason they cause lag too, same for dense forest.

Use small worlds, eg Fleabottom (shameless selfpromotion).

where can I find the download file at..

ONIKI KINKYWORLD 0.37 (Build 375).7z is the latest file. Click it and it will download. Then use 7zip or winrar to unzip it and place the files in your mods folder (location of which should be C:Users/YOUR PC NAME/My Documents/Electronic Arts/The simes 3/Mods/Packages )

To add, if you cannot find the file, if you are using Mozilla Firefox you can find it in C:users/YOUR PC NAME/Downloads (That is the default path for downloads as far as I am aware).

Hope this helps.

It seems to have worked but not 100% sure, will play a bit more to see if it's fixed

EDIT: Nope, Hair keeps changing and glasses never stay when they change into there uniform

How do you use Kinky new grope interaction? anyone?

I don't believe the grope interaction has been completed - in my game it is something that has occurred randomly when my sim is groped by another and some conversational text appears.

Hey guys. Forgive me if this has been brushed over already in the thread but I've tried scouring as much as I can and haven't found it being addressed. My sim is a 'high class escort girl'. Whenever I go on an escort mission, after all the tireless dancing and 'lemme buy you a drink' interactions,  when they go to a registered hotel and her client is about to pay her, the client completely disappears, my sim glitches and transforms into her everyday clothing immediately. It always happens at the point where the client is to pay her. I just want to know if anyone is experiencing this issue and if they have found a solution thus far. It's quite annoying af tedious especially since it takes up to 10 hours of 'dancing' and 'lemme buy you a drink' interactions before the interaction to get paid comes up.

Edit: She never gets paid.

I have sometimes this issue with escorts. I found the problem is greatly reduced (NOT eliminated) by choosing the working hours to start at 17:00 - the earliest time escort missions become possible. Otherwise it just becomes problematic - sims go to restaurants as they're about to close, overstay ast clubs, et cetera, finishing at a hotel around dawn, when this bug is ready to pounce.

Could you tell me please, that affects occurrence pregnancy in KW? What parameters to change if there is no pregnancy at all?

The Birds and the Bees of The Sims 3

When a male sim woohoos a female sim, they chase each other under the bedsheets, with harp music to help make them laugh, and the male throws rose petals from his stamen into the air.  Eventually, one of the rose petals manages to land just right, and releases a dose of pollen, which is absorbed naturally by the female sim.  If you're lucky, the pollen causes the female's seed in her tummy to sprout a baby, which grows over a couple of days.  Then the hospital uses a teleporter to remove the freshly grown baby before it makes the mommy explode.  (All adult female sims are also able to stay at home and, by spinning around at precisely the right moment, they can create a Heisenberg uncertainty which causes the baby to teleport into their arms the natural old-fashioned way.  Teen sims, having not unlocked the mysteries of quantum mechanics, will however explode in an unproperly modified game.)

The Birds and the Bees of OKW

To fully understand pregnancy in OKW, you need to understand real-life fertility.  The cycle is divided into the follicular phase in which the womb prepares for the baby, the ovulation phase where the egg(s) is released from the ovaries into the fallopian tubes, the luteal phase where the womb waits for implantation, and the menstruation phase where the lining is then evacuated over the span of up to several days.  OKW uses a slightly simplified version which includes a fallow follicular phase, a fertile ovulation phase, and a fallow luteal phase that might as well just be part of the follicular phase (as it is exactly similar to, and immediately adjacent to, the next cycle's follicular phase).  OKW technically has the order of menstruation wrong, as a sim will menstruate immediately after ovulation, but this is arguably necessary due to the high default number of hours necessary for the luteal phase.  Menstruation is just a warning to let you know whether or not your sim got preggers on that interval.  If you don't get a menstruation notice in the top right of your screen, you're Totally Preggers: An Expecting Mother.

Every sim in the world receives a periodic update from OKW every number of sim minutes proportional to the update frequency configured in the game settings.  For males, this is just for housekeeping.  However, for females, each sim update, the game will check for any and all sperm in the sim's womb, and will gradually deplete the amount of sperm inside proportional to the amount of time that has passed.  With debug options on, you can see the total sperm by clicking on the Kinky World menu and following to the sim's info in the debug options (not the woohoo info, which simply measures their likelihood to consent to woohoo).

Each time a male finishes an animation stage that is vaginal, he releases a sperm amount equal to a random number between zero and the pregnancy chance.  Each time a sim's update comes along, if the sim is ovulating at that time, the current pregnancy chance of each sperm dose -- the amount of sperm surviving -- is thrown on a straight probability throw to determine if the sperm finds an egg.  If so, congratulations!  Otherwise, it moves onto the next, until a pregnancy occurs, or nothing happens after checking each one in the list.

Note that if you're using the default sequential woohoo animations (which I find generally terrible -- every sequence leads to vaginal sex, even if you ask for mere oral, etc.) rather than purely random animations, you might have as many as four doses released, as each stage that is vaginal will release its own dose when the stage ends, as long as it ends near the scheduled end time for that stage.  For instance, if your progression goes through three stages, all of which are vaginal, then the male sim will add the sperm three times.  This increases the chance of pregnancy cumulatively above the preset pregnancy chance -- if you had a 10% chance of pregnancy set, but your sim had doses of 4, 5, and 6 inside, then the chance of not being pregnant is actually ((1-0.04) * (1-0.05) * (1-0.06) = 0.96 * 0.95 * 0.94 = 0.85728 =) 85.728%, i.e., a cumulative 14.272% of pregnancy in spite of the set 10% chance.  And because this update check is checked several times per ovulation, which depending on your settings can last a couple sim hours, that means that total cumulative pregnancy chance can be much higher -- even a two-hour ovulation has a minimum of three checks at the default settings, for instance.

You can set sperm lifetime to zero and there would literally be no chance of the updater ever successfully checking a pregnancy, because the sperm would be removed on the next womb update.  Likewise, if you set the pregnancy chance to zero, the amount of sperm will be set to zero.  If your update frequency is too high compared to the length of ovulation, you may only get one or two checks for pregnancy per cycle.

The fertility warning in your panel appears for a number of hours equivalent to Sperm Lifetime + Ovulation Time, which is pretty much bang on.  Note that this also means that the best time to boof a sim, if you want a baby, is just before there are Ovulation Time hours remaining in the cycle (i.e., NOT when the Fertility Warning appears, but actually closer to when it is about to end), as this gives the greatest likelihood of the cumulative probability managing to fertilize the woman.  Too early and the sperm will die off before it reaches the ovulation time.  Too late and you'll miss a couple of updates where the sim could have been impregnated by the sperm in her womb.  Note that since woohoo can take hours on its own, this means that you'll want to shoot for Ovulation Time + 2 hours remaining, or something similar.

Hi! I've enjoyed Kinky World so far but when I put the newest version into my mods folder - a big error has occured. I wasn't able to choose any sim in my household, my funds were set to 0$ and the control panel was gone. I fixed it by simply deleting KW 037 and replacing it with 036 version. Has anyone there experienced a bug like this one?
