redeemer93 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 hi i don't know if this is the right place or whether i need to go to the adult forum but ive been playing with a few mods on fine recently then yesterday i downloaded and added some more but even with SKSE the game would crash at the bethesda loading screen after it crashed i uninstalled the mods back to what it was before and it still crashed , i then uninstalled all the mods and the same thing happend , can anyone help me out i would like to get the mods working which may be due to a load order issue which i would like help with but i cant when i cant run the game
myuhinny Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Crash at the beth logo means you have a master below a .esp/.esm that needs it above it. Have you run LOOT for load order sorting? Running TES5EDIT found on the nexus can show you any mods that have a master below them each time it hits one it will stop and give the reason why in the bottom right hand area read it fix and repeat starting it till it no longer hits anymore errors then try your game again.
WanderLustRedux Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Look into learning mod organizer to install your mods. It has loot built in and will notify you if you have ESPs/ESMs that are missing masters.
Effie Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 If you also played around with enbs or so, it could be that you had made a mistake which resulted in crash at start up ^^ I remember that happened to me a lot back then haha

redeemer93 Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 ok then update ive gotten the addons sorted but now i cant fast travel at all and im getting the fnis error message got to say that this is annoying one error after another lol edit : not just fast travel a few seconds in and it crashed in open world edit 2 : i can do short distance fast travel and in open world it give around a min then crashes

redeemer93 Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 no i can fast travel in short bursts depending on distance crashes in open world as well , i got taken out ion one of the cave i was in and the forced strip animation caused a crash got taken out again and the bleed out script happened i woke up then it crashed again , i did notice that the mod list in game is missing sx lab dont know if its any good though crashing also happens when i tried to use the bed for live another life correction the mod appears now im not seeing why this is happening , ven wilderness travel is doing this

Clean with TES5Edit. Dawnguard.esm CRC: 19160C7C C.Location, Delev, Graphics, Invent, Names, Sound Warning: Contains 619 ITM records, 82 UDR records and 57 deleted navmeshes. Clean with TES5Edit. HearthFires.esm CRC: F4DDC851 C.Location, Graphics, Invent Warning: Contains 184 ITM records, 11 UDR records and 5 deleted navmeshes. Clean with TES5Edit. Dragonborn.esm CRC: A46CA360 C.Location, Graphics, Invent, Names ive urn the files through tes5 edit and cleaned them but no difference Warning: Contains 61 ITM records, 8 UDR records and 1 deleted navmeshes. Clean with TES5Edit. oddly the erros have resolved themselves but the crashing is still happening
myuhinny Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 You need to clean any DLC and mod that has dirty edits with TES5EDIT unless it is stated by the mod author or shown that the dirty edits are done on purpose to make their mod work and those will usually say do not clean with TES5EDIT those dirty edits are needed for the mod to work. Cleaning those ones will break the mod. There are many tutorials on youtube on how to clean your mods and DLC's. Check out the ones by Gopher. Dirty edits can and will cause problems in a game.

But it's commensurate with the way Skyrim mods work. You have the base product (Skyrim/Dawnguard/Hearthfires) which was tested and published by professional game designers. To mod it, you must rely on a huge array of products that range from the near-professional modders to the amateurs who have good ideas but don't know all the tricks they need to know. I'm coming at that from my own past, back in the days of C language (before C++, C# and and whatever other C-salad they have now). I could program, but not very well. I knew Basic and Pascal but not C. The more I learned, the more I learned what I didn't know, yet. It was like there was always another trick with pointers or arrays that I had to remember to get my newest program to work. In my case, I ultimately gave up and learned SQL (That's a joke!) But the nature of Skyrim mods is such that you should never trust a source before you try it, and your best method of modding your game is to add one mod at a time, run it through loot order and TESVEdit scans and then test it in your own game before you accept it as part of your build and go on to add another mod. I have cut the number of mods I run in half and I'm still around 70. I've seen others claim to be running over 100. Considering how many authors that implies, it's a wonder Skyrim works at all. Another good suggestion is to export your working/tested load order to a file (NMM does this and I believe MO allows you to create multiple load orders), then if you get all hamstrung like I was yesterday, you only have to import the last working load order. My lesson from yesterday: Animation files cannot be added just any old place under "animations". I tried that with some new ones I wanted to test, then I forgot I'd saved them to my Skyrim\data\meshes\actors\character\animations folder. Several hours and many crashes later, it dawned on me what I'd done and once I deleted those animation files, my game was back to its old, functional self. I still have dents in my desk from all the head-banging I did, and that was after I figured out the mistake!

lordofpie7000 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Mod Organizer can make your life much easier. It's not too hard to figure out once you get familiar. Plus it keeps your skyrim install clean and everything compartmentalized so that installing and uninstalling mods is easy as pie.
