What's the most disturbing game you've ever played?

Outlast (character dies)

Which one? Miles Upshur?

He's alive and well, feeling better than ever.

Waylon Park?

He's alive too. Probably still in danger, but not dead.

Also, I've experienced a lot (and I mean A LOT) and so far the most disturbing games I've ever played are

Saya No Uta (Me and my friend still can't agree on whether the horrible events of the game were orchestrated or coincidental)

and Downfall - A Horror Adventure Game (which doesn't fit in a category of H, but is definitely 21+, and has some moments). Both could damage your brain permanently. You've been warned.

Also, there's also Demonophobia, but it's pretty tame in comparison. No, really. The game where a naked underage schoolgirl could get skinned alive in all graphical gory glory is pretty much mild, compared to the other two.

Don't know if i'm just wicked or hardened by all those horror movies i've watched but i've never played a disturbing game, and i've played manhunt and lots of horror games, and got to see a lot of weird stuff on the internet over the years, like lots of years ago a video of some serbian "gang" smashing a guys head in and poking it with a screwdriver while he was alive. Internet is a weird place sometimes. xD

splatter beach a guro hentai game.

Not fan of the guro part :s

Same here, Splatter beach and games like it. No gusta on the guro and gore for me.

Disturbing? I would say Pink Socks Forever. The title seemed friendly and cute enough...

But god, those were some heinous fetishes in that old PC98 game. Do yourself a favor and avoid it like the plague.

"Rapelay" was disturbing, yet very interesting.

but so far nothing could beat the "silent hill" series - a very disturbing game world that even left veterans wondering about what was going on. (until the movie that is.)

i never played it for long for it had no difficulty settings and many enemies were almost impossible to get past.

other than that, i know that i wouldn't play any game which is known for its jumpscares.

Most "disturbing" games I've played didn't really bother me much (or at all). Of course I'm pretty laid back and play those types of games regularly. And "disturbing" is a pretty subjective term anyway. Some I could mention though.

H-games:

Ta-Boo. This one actually bothered me (and that is saying something). I'm OK with "rape fantasy", but this takes it to a different level. The way it's presented is what makes it disturbing. The girls are crying and trying to crawl away from the main character, a big muscly fellow. You have to beat and rape them till they throw up and die in order to advance the game. After the girls die it just gets weird, like he goes to the underworld for his actions, and you have to fight weird demonic looking enemies. I couldn't get a text hooker to work on this game, so I don't really know what's going on in that second part (it's in Japanese). One of the creator's other games, Syakuga, is pretty disturbing as well. Although it seemed to be inspired by Splatterhouse, which was interesting.

Demonophobia. Basically a guro game. The MC is a loli but there is no sex to speak of. She is nude in the last stage for some reason, that's about it. More about gruesome deaths if you do something wrong, which you will. A lot. There was a sequel, Xenophobia, but I don't think it was ever completed.

Nightmare Sphere. When you die specifically. If you don't restart right away, enemies will rape the character and she will vomit and roll around crying, and can become pregnant and have larva burst from her stomach in a spray of blood.

Pretty much anything in the ryona or guro genres could be considered disturbing though I suppose. Most of them present it in such a gratuitous way that it isn't really disturbing though. Like Studio S games for example. They might be disturbing if you took them seriously.

Mainstream games:

Parts of Dead Space 2 were a bit disturbing. Like the necromorphed babies crawling towards you making that noise, then exploding. You knew something bad would happen when you walked into a nursery in a Dead Space game though. And the part near the end with the needle.

And yeah, a few parts of Outlast. ..."silky! silky!"

That's about it off the top of my head, may think of more later.

You happen to have a link to that Ta-Boo game?

No, sadly I do not. Not to the full game anyway. The dev's (ISAmu) blog is here though: http://136t.blog58.fc2.com/

- Pink Socks Forever

- Splatter beach

- Wolf's Dungeon

- Demonophobia

- Fairy Fighting

links are appreciated.

Fairy Fighting and Wolf's dungeon creator is Eluku and his blog is here (his games are free and he updates regularly): http://eluku99.blog93.fc2.com/ Note Wolf's Dungeon is far from complete.

Nightmare Sphere creator's blog (also free): http://mickmanx.blog71.fc2.com/  But his download page seems to be broken. If you want I can upload the stable version (1.02) I use to mega or something.

The others I can't help you with. Maybe Splatter Beach if I can remember the dev's name/blog. Might try Hentai4daily, their links are legit.

Demonophobia, it is pretty old, and I couldn't post links to it even if I knew any (against forum rules), it contains loli. (even though I said it's just nudity, I remembered there is one boss that causes forced masturbation)

that's perfectly understandable about demonophobia not being posted here. (what was i thinking?!)

thanks for those links.

i have to look at them when not very tired. i tend to not find dl links there, especially because i dont understand any asian language.

I couldn't find a working download of Nightmare Sphere too.

If you could upload that, that'd be cool :)

Here is a link to Nighmare Sphere : Mega

It is a pretty good game on its own, by the way. A lot like the 2D Castlevania series, very well done for an H-game made by one guy. Even has good music. (note you can resize the window, it starts very small. Also note it is normal for the game to take a while to start)

He had a sequel partly done, I can upload it too if you like the first one.

And Demonophobia, yeah if it weren't for that one part, it wouldn't even be an H-game. Just a gory survival horror game with a young main character.
