zniachtl Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Incompatible. This word could really help - if it were used. Especially whenever even a simple TXT file looks heavily obfuscated. I tried to get some of that stuff running for a while, now I gave up, the risk is far too high. After my latest fail with Tamago, Hiyoko and such stuff not even my graphics driver works properly. There seriously should be at least a headline like "Do NOT use this when japanese is not your system language." I have no other explanation for such virus-like results, it is like pressing a rectangular shape into a circular hole.
gregathit Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 "Totally pointless". This should be imprinted on a T-shirt and given to folks that make posts like this. There is NO mod for lovers or oblivion that requires Japanese to be your system language, so I don't know what you are even talking about. If you want help, the provide the info the pinned threads ask for.
Fienyx Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Work perfectly fine here. Read original posts and latest posts. Get the best info that way. Funny to see npc get gangraped by horses and have sperm inflation. Ask questions if you don't understand. Whatever you do, don't go bashing the work that these great modders do. They give awesome work for free, and it's people like you who make other modders not put their stuff out. Show some respect, and maybe a little common sense.
myuhinny Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I'm guessing they got stuff from somewhere else and they think they downloaded it from here because everything here is in english.
Fienyx Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Maybe clicking on the adbot links for sex games, surfing porn. Worst things you can do with windows. Want to surf porn? Get linux, lol.
QuiteTheTail Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 The only issue I know about japanese/unicode text inside mods is related to Wrye Bash. They could cripple the 'Installers' tab, resulting in a wxPython error. I once discovered this after installling NPR's original Lingerie mod (note: the mod doesn't have to be necessarily installed as BAIN or archive, it happens even if the mod is installed through OBMM). Aside from this, and the missing voices for untransated race names, I never had issues with foreign language mods. Removing the aforementioned text files from the archive is effective to solve the issue.
myuhinny Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Well for me if the mod is a armor/clothing or mod or even if it isn't one and I just want the armor/outfits that are in it I just unzip the mod then throw away the .esp and any text files and just add the mesh and texture files to my game and then fire up the CS (creation set) and add the meshes to my .esp that I made and place them into one of the chests that I made in the .esp then save load up the game and go grab my stuff. Also you can modify the .esp to change things so that they are in English like armor/outfit names people/companion names and so forth just keep a back up just in case you screw up.
ljacquard Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 "Totally pointless". +1. To the OP, if one is as clueless as you are less knowledgeable about something, one doesn't storm in to a place and start accusing people to release "viruses" or whatever garbage you have been blabbering about. LL is known to have a friendly community that usually is very keen on helping other people out if they can. However, this assumes that people in need of assistance are able to display a modicum of maturity. Not even talking about being overly polite, just behaving like an adult, that you probably should be if you intend to play adult-oriented mods. Have a nice day.
