Suddenly & absurdly slow Skyrim; imcompatibility? Bloating? Version?

Greetings, peeps!~ 

 

In the past days, I've been trying a new game with that Demonica race character, and had the 7-base body with SG textures on the rest of the females... Sos body with smooth textures, on the gents, and wee-wees for both of them. As well as an armor replacer so to have all of the garments fitting the bombshell body.

 

Everything was going smoothly, and running decently well, in a better-than-usual manner (since my system is demented, and I can't digest average graphs, a playable fps here ends up staying around 7~7,5, which makes me glad to see, still  ), and the gameplay was going on - some lag spikes now and then, but, on the long run, everything was kept flowing. Also having around 240/2 mods on according to NMM.

 

I then decided to revamp my females, completely, and remove/disable/delete every single unp/7-base armor present ingame, as well as the replacer, so I could get the Dream Girl one. And thus, I replaced every vanilla armor and all of the unp-based ones for their DG versions, with the same (SG) textures for the body itself. As well as installed one of JK's city upgrades (Rorikstead). And everything was checked with TesEdit and LOOT.

 

Strangely, though, after that, and a few mins of normal gameplay, as soon as I crossed or saw another npc, my game started to get so irritatingly and infuriatingly slow that's unbearable, in every way. It seems as if I'm suddenly warping around or watching pics in a slideshow..  My fps then drops to 3~3,5... It's not because of the enb or graphs, since it was running alright until earlier today, before the revamp (when it's the case, certain camera angles do make the lag fade, but this time, it's a permanent and massive lag, even if I zoom in FP at the floor, or if I run in a tiny cave).

 

I do still feel uncertain it may be:

 

-Because of the increased number of mods, now being 254; the limit.

 

-Because of the DG body, although I dont imagine how.

 

-Because of some script/memory/papyrus retardedness which was caused by any of these mods or so..

 

What can I do to try eliminating this hassle? Is there any kind of tool or program that identifies which mod may be behaving in a strange way / consuming more memory than it should / what script may be messed or what is happening?

It seems this happens everytime I try to change my female body, since I tried to do the same, 2 days ago, with the Lady Bod (even with a texture misplacement issue), in which the same sudden lag wave was felt and continues, when it shoundn't...

1. Cut down the number of unnecessary mods on the loadlist, or try to merge them if possible.

Sorry to be preachy, but Mod Organizer helps in resolving problems with file conflicts. It also allows you to have separate profiles for different body mods and playthroughs.

Any texture over 2k or hi-poly meshes, and using a resource heavy ENB preset (such as those from Kyo, which requires a high-end system), will also impact your system.

Using Dyna, RLO, COT, LiFE and SL is hammering the shit out of Papyrus; also if you're using an old save with the new bodies, that lag is NEVER going to go away, DEM's toopolgy will also hammer a weak system, and dream girl is the opposite; it's one of the most efficiently made meshes out there.

Mhm, I see... I just find it odd that, while keeping the 7b body, everything was going moreless normal, without bigger non-graph issues...

 

The moment I changed it to, first, LB, and then, DG, it's when it all started... The textures (which didn't change) and meshes are the same, and theorically, imho, I do think that armor/clothing remodels and a changed body mesh shouldn't affect the game so badly..! ;T 

 

And when I try to star a new game/save, then the continuous lag gets even worse, right out of the char creation.

 

I don't know exactly what LiFE does, and may remove it, and RLO makes any interior ridiculously dark (tho I thought it actually helped with performance), so I can try cutting it too.. As for MO, I have always been a bit uncertain about it, since many mods I try always have a special troubleshooting or bug-related attempt of solution when using it, it seems too complicated! :x

 

Maybe the big model changes caused it.. I don't know, really.. I was thinking of trying this, so to see if it helps-

-> EDIT.: This mod didn't work, either... Urgh, it's getting outrageous, every single place with more than 1 npc gets laggy in an absurd way...

 

I don't know if it's also because of a russian version of Demonica installed. I placed that Free-Winter Npc from Windhelm on my side, and he started talking to me in random-character-displayed-russian. The starting piece of cloth worn by the Demonica race at char creation is now also showing up, while, before the female body revamp, in which I had the Bombshell and remodeled garments for it, it wasn't. 

 

The lag is not caused by anything graphic-wise, could it be because of an incompatibility between the russian mod and the rest of the stuff? Even so, why wasn't this happening before, with the Bombshell and its models, and now it does?

 

This is being really hellish, and making Skyrim impossible to be played...

EDIT 2.: I replaced the russian file for the english translation, and things are still the same... I just -C A N ' T- understand what is causing this.. It's not anything related to visual, not anything related to races or so... Even on that 'light room', which is empty and isolated, every angle of camera leads to this massive lag... Could it somehow be HDT-related? 

 

I downloaded all of my conversions for DG as TBBP clothing, as well as the body itself, while still using the HDT Bounce from Bombshell or that UNPK mods... But, even so, my DG body, ingame, is not bouncing by any bit.. Could it be the source of the unreasonable lag?

If it's an HDT body and you have incompatible files, such as lacking a physics object or having the wrong libraries, then yes, it certainly could be.

YES!  Solved!!! As suspected, it was, indeed, because of the bounce mods, which fitted the previous body, but didn't work with DG... Disabled the unnused mods, installed the new body's default anims, the proper physics, and, I'm not even sure of how bouncy or jiggly it is, but, at least, it seems the fps and the lag are back to normal levels!
