FelixGoldenHeart
I cannot for the life of myself and everything that is holy or otherwise in this world get my skyrim to stop CTDing upon loading my save. I've determined that HDT must be the issue, but I can't figure out why. I've installed everything to a T just like the detailed guide says. I've got everything up to date, and have even went back and disabled all HDT mods like high heels and everything to see what would happen. I still CTD. The log says nothing, no error or anything. I use SaveTool, LOOT, Mod Manager, FNIS, and even Wrye Bash. Â I recently was trying to put some new animations in the game, and I was getting the jittery laggy animations that wound up in a T pose, and as soon as I opened a menu or anything it would CTD. It doesn't do that anymore, but now I'm CTDing on save load like I have been for MONTHS now. It's frustrating me to the point I'm about to just give up and never play Skyrim again. Which is sad for me, because it's still my favorite game. Â TL;DRI need help and someone here may be able to assist me which I would love them forever if they fixed my issues. I can post load order, papyrus script logs, HDT logs, anything else that may be needed to find out what the fuck is wrong with my game. Link to comment
Thulas
Actually loadorder and papyrus logs are kind of mandatory, you shouldn't wait until someone asks to post it. Â Have you tried the easy way around by loading another save first or starting a new game and then loading the save you actually want to play? Link to comment

FelixGoldenHeart
Oh and yeah I have tried the load another save and load the one I want to play, but sometimes even my other saves that I thought were safe CTD. I want to find an actual solution, I know there's got to be one out there. Even if I get into the game without CTDing, I can only play for a little while before it happens. It generally happens then when I kill something or something ragdolls or whatever, which makes me think it has something to do with HDT and skeletons and animations. I wish Skyrim would tell me what my problem is, not that I have one. Link to comment
rahrahrah
I get pretty much guaranteed CTD on load apart from on one save where a ton of MCM based mods haven't initialised - that's the one I use to load first. If you don't have a save like that maybe try one of these :  http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40683/?  http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24830/?  Good luck  EDIT : you beat me with last post by a minute.  I've had the crash on loot at one point too, but it eventually went away - I think after uninstalling and re-isntalling all my SKSE required mods. My hunch is that it was skeleton related. Sorry I can't help Link to comment

I've gotten in the habit of saving every like 50 steps.... Link to comment
Ashkandii
The moment when your skyrim CTDs every 3 minutes. What i personally did was cut down on the amount of Scripts going on  i use to run all sorts mods like SIC, Wet and Cold, ASIS etc which forced alot alot alot of crashes now that i cut down on mods that are like that, i can literally play the game for 2 hours no crash i actually only crash when i sometimes quick save thats all.  and goddam you actually got dual sheath redux to work yet not your skyrim?major conspiracy there.  Bare in mind that i use to crash so much i always thought if i create a new save and not overwrite surely ill crash less. that somehow helped. but Quicksavin on heavily modded game is asking for crashes i'd say. only thing i can recommend here if what i said does not work re-install skyrim, cut down on heavily script mods (even sexlab we all gotta make sacrifices) even though im not sure what actually meant by scripts all i know is havin lots of mods that use them significantly increases crashes Link to comment
fizzybutt
You've got a lot of script heavy mods. I couldn't run DSR, enhanced blood, inconsequential npc's, 3dnpc's and whatnot without a guaranteed ctd on every save load. (Hell I couldn't run the two npc mods together at all because of my old system) I've discovered if it isn't memory, or a genuine conflict, then the scripts just get confused when loading up. If you're able to load coc qasmoke from the main menu every time without issue then your scripts just get jumbled on an established save. It happens to everyone and that's just the risk we run. If I crash a save, the first thing I do is load into qasmoke from main menu then try loading my save. That way I can tell if I really broke something or if there's a tangle. It's one of my default troubleshooting. Link to comment
FelixGoldenHeart
Well I thought all I wanted was a world in which I could drink, kill, and fuck. Oh and do heroic things too like save all of mankind. Guess I'll have to cut back more mods and see if there's any difference. The last two I'll be taking out are DSR and Sexlab. If I can keep those I want them... I still feel like my problems loading a save are HDT and the skeleton because switching versions of HDT used to allow me to load the save no issues. I'm also going to try loading qasmoke from the main menu, I didn't even know you could do that! I'll post later the results of my endeavors. Link to comment
FelixGoldenHeart
So I'm able to load into qasmoke from the main menu, almost instantly. I can then load a save without a problem. So this leads me to believe it was not just HDT but scripting too, even though every time the game crashed before it never said anything major in the log. Even if I get my save to load it will random CTD when killing something, looting something, and sometimes even opening a menu. I guess I'll just have to deal with it. I refuse to give up DSR or Sexlab. Â Link to comment
fizzybutt
If you're able to run around for a while (Usually a couple of hours) without some random crash, then there's nothing wrong with your game. Everything has it's limits. If you're able to load, without fail into qasmoke, then it's just script tangle when the game is loading. There's nothing anything anyone can do about that except run with less scripted mods. We're making this game do things it was never coded (or meant) to do. It's not going to be picture perfect. Killing something in heavily modded games throws a ton of scripts out and sometimes they get confused if there's even the slightest bit of lag or memory hiccup. It's just one of those things. You decide what you can live with. Link to comment
BringtheNoise
Which Skelly and which HDT file.  If you are using XPMSE 2.0 or greater (current version is like 2.2) then you need an xml that lists the belly bone as "NPC Belly".  The older version of the XPMSE (known as legacy or 1.93 v50) had the belly bone as "NPC Pre Belly". And if that is what is in the XML file and you use XPMSE 2.0 or greater you will lag and it can also cause CTD's in some instances....  So be careful with any old HDT XML file that supports the Belly weight as it will need the Belly bone name to match up with the one in the skelly before it can work with the new skeleton.....   That is actually listed on the XPMSE page, but yeah I figured I'ld repeat it....  Oh and if you happen to use Unified and run it on the legacy skelly... I wont support it!!! Link to comment

jancicc
if you still think it has something to do with HDT, before saving check if you have any dead female NPCs around, and if they have crushed/collapsed/caved in breasts. long ago, dont remember with which version of hdt DLL, i had a problem like that and that caused CTD whenever loaded, or mesh vertexes being stretched offscreen... dunno about newest version of HDT since havent played skyrim for almost a year. FelixGoldenHeart
SUPER ass knock on some damn wood because I think getting an HDTbbp file that had both npc belly and hdt belly seems to have fixed my issue. I loaded a save no problem, I'll have to see if the others can be loaded too. I looked at the HDT log and instead of being like 5 lines long, it's a nice healthy list of processes and seems to be working just fine now. I am using the 2.2 skeleton and HDT 14.28 and seem to have gotten it to work finally. Â On a side note before when I got it to work some of the time I did experience random NPC women when moving to a new cell would sometimes have their chest stretch off into oblivion and then suddenly rush back to them and they were normal again. I haven't seen this yet again, but I hope that is fixed now too since it was visually and viscerally annoying. Link to comment

Here is the other thing. This is what i posted on Nexus :Sexy Idle Aminations I`ll explain it a different way.1.The TBBP animation of Dragonfly with butt bounce2.Remodeled Armor for CBBE Bodyslide and TBBP HDT( Most any other boobage will work like Killer Keros or CHSBHC an such. They all work.)3.Alternative Nude Texture for CBBE (Recommended, Fixes Missing hip in Pink Nipples. except on elderly which is why CBBE is recommended.)4.CHSBHC V3-T for TBBP by TomNow for the boob collision.-->5.HDT Physics Extensions by HydrogensaysHDT-->6.TroubleMakers Clothing - UNPB UNP BBP BBPx TBBP MTM HDT-PE Female Body Replacer by MrTroubleMaker [[[[[ You want to take UPDATE UNPB Body NMM Installer version 1.1 ]]]]]]-->6.5 IF YOU HAVE BELLY ISSUES= XP32 Maximum Skeleton-->7.Sexy idle AnimationIN THAT ORDER  That then install Fore's idle aminations.Once installed go to your steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users Then make a short cut of GenerateFNISforUsers on your task bar an then run it.Click on Gender Specific Animations Then run Update. If you have any install pets or animals. You will want to install Creatures pack from Fores page. Then run the Update again.  Note:When you install anything new that may use any kind of scripts your gonna have to update GenerateFNISforUsers again.Every time. When you want to remove any pet mod or something related to creatures or monstors.  You need to disable Creatures in GenerateFNISforUsers. Then uninstall creatures then reactivate it by installing Creatures pack again an running GenerateFNISforUsers. It is annoying but it will solve your crash issue.  Again Any changes to mobs or creatures you have to disable an reinable these. Link to comment
VonHelton
A Google Search could not find "Gizmodian Jewelry".........Anyone got a link? The moment when your skyrim CTDs every 3 minutes. What i personally did was cut down on the amount of Scripts going on  i use to run all sorts mods like SIC, Wet and Cold, ASIS etc which forced alot alot alot of crashes now that i cut down on mods that are like that, i can literally play the game for 2 hours no crash i actually only crash when i sometimes quick save thats all.  and goddam you actually got dual sheath redux to work yet not your skyrim?major conspiracy there.  Bare in mind that i use to crash so much i always thought if i create a new save and not overwrite surely ill crash less. that somehow helped. but Quicksavin on heavily modded game is asking for crashes i'd say. only thing i can recommend here if what i said does not work re-install skyrim, cut down on heavily script mods (even sexlab we all gotta make sacrifices) even though im not sure what actually meant by scripts all i know is havin lots of mods that use them significantly increases crashes  Before I found this place, I used "Animated Prostitution" for my adult fix. The game would crash any time magic was used......LOL!  Link to comment
uglykidcid
Is your save over 15k? It will CTD on load. Â Welcome to our world. Â You wanna fix it? Â Stop modding. Â There is no fix. Â What most of us do is load a new game with alternate start to get the game engine loaded and then immediately go into our save. Link to comment
macion1
HDT can cause immediate CTD if the movement or reaction is to fast, it doesnt matter if the movement in the game is fine, if it starts too fast it will CTD. 1. My HDT (but its only for big breast with different presets) - http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1769-my-own-hdt-physics-body-presets/ 2. Use ENB ( it helps in 80% of problems, speeds up game, saves, reduces CTD a LOT) - http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrim.htm 3. I use alternate save program (15 slots)- http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/43153/? 4. mod organizer - https://loot.github.io/ 5. Reducing size of textures can help a lot, or compression especialy (body) 6. Wrong setting of mods, start uninstalling some, even those you like, they might be resource consuming or just corrupted. Modding the game takes a lot of time and knowledge, even installing 1 wrong version of mod. Lets say version 2.04.2 that just came up and looks fine might destroy whole save. And version 2.04.1 is 100% fine. Â Link to comment
